Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1690: Chapter 1690: Aunt Mo Lan Is Missing

Ansel thoughtfully said, ”Then let’s not shop, let’s go somewhere else to eat.”

”It’s okay, I’ll have to get used to crowds sooner or later. Don’t worry, I’m fine.”

Mo Lan insisted on shopping; she wanted to overcome her crowd anxiety. After all, she would be living alone in the future, so she needed to gradually become strong and independent.

With her insistence, Ansel had no objections, and they found a noodle shop to sit down, ordering two bowls of noodles.

They didn’t eat much Chinese food, but they liked it.

They had never tried such authentic snacks before, and at first, neither of them knew how to eat them; the bodyguard had to explain what seasonings to add before they learned how to eat the dish.

After a few bites, both couldn’t stop praising it, feeling the taste was very delicious.

Ansel suggested, ”Aunt Mo Lan, let’s eat less and just try a couple bites of each snack, otherwise we won’t have room to eat more.”

”Wouldn’t that be a bit wasteful?”

”How could it be wasteful? We’re trying to taste more delicacies, eating comfortably is the point,” Ansel said assertively, almost as if the words ’I waste because I want to’ were written on his face.

Mo Lan laughed, ”Okay then.”

As they were about to get up, suddenly a child rushed over and bumped hard against Mo Lan from behind.

Mo Lan’s body leaned forward and knocked over the noodle bowl, spilling lots of soup, which made her clothes a sorry sight.

”I’m sorry!” The child apologized loudly after the collision and then ran off.

Ansel angrily jumped down from his chair, ”Outrageous! How can they be so reckless!”

The bodyguard quickly handed Mo Lan a lot of tissues, and Mo Lan wiped her clothes, but her white jacket and t-shirt were completely dirtied, and her pants stained with a large spot that couldn’t be wiped clean.

”Go buy some clothes immediately!” Ansel ordered a bodyguard, who promptly headed to the nearby mall.

Mo Lan looked at the public restroom not far away, ”I’ll go wash up.”

She went into the restroom; Ansel and the others waited at the door.

It was an old restroom but very clean. Mo Lan went in and found no one inside. It seemed the restroom was under repair and couldn’t be used.

But she only needed to wash her hands, so she went in.

Inside the restroom was a window, which led to a small alley.

Mo Lan was washing when suddenly her neck hurt, and she lost consciousness.

Ansel and the others waited outside for ten minutes, but Mo Lan still hadn’t come out.

He shouted inside a few times, but no one responded.

Then two girls came to use the restroom, saw the repair sign, and one girl said curiously, ”There wasn’t any repair this morning; why is it being repaired now?”

”This is bad!” Ansel rushed inside quickly; the bodyguards realized something was wrong and followed him in.

The empty restroom had no one inside, only the window was open.

”Chase!” Ansel ordered, and two bodyguards jumped out the window, with two left to protect him.

Ansel immediately took out his phone and called Awei, ”Aunt Mo Lan is missing, taken away by someone. Can you find a way to block the nearby roads?”

Since Awei wasn’t the real Ruan Tianling, he didn’t know how to handle such a situation.

”I need to make a call to report this, it’ll be quick.”

Awei hung up and called Ruan Tianling...
