From the Metropolis to the Strongest in the Cosmos

Hei Xu was quite worried. If the Time Divine Tree race turned them away at the door, it would be awkward.

While he was lost in thought, he followed Li Yang onto a planet.

”Hm? So many members of the Time Divine Tree race?”

Li Yang gazed ahead at the strange, tree-like life forms.

For instance, the Fire Nether Divine Beast race was located in the peripheral regions of the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall. And what kind of place was the Eternal Saint Hall? It was home to countless experts—never mind Deities, there were also many Emperors, and even Sovereigns and existences that surpassed them!

The entire Fire Nether Divine Beast race stayed within the world they had carved out for themselves and never came out. If they did, they would certainly fall under the consciousness of the Human Race’s experts.

Who would enjoy having their every move monitored by others?

So, the Fire Nether Divine Beasts remained in their sealed secret realm, almost never venturing out.

But the Time Divine Tree race was different. There were no powerful experts here to monitor them, so many Time Divine Trees were out and about. It was just like the Thunder Spirit Race and the Star Moon Race; many of their people even visited each other. When Li Yang had gone to the Thunder Spirit Race, he had even seen members of the Star Moon Race.

Li Yang looked over. Although the Time Divine Trees were tree-like life forms, their overall structure was somewhat different from ordinary trees; he could clearly see their faces.

As Li Yang and Hei Xu observed the Time Divine Trees, the trees also noticed them and began to murmur amongst themselves.

They were surrounded by their own kind, yet members of the Human Race had appeared. Of course it would draw their attention.

”They’re from the Human Race.”

”Why has an expert from the Human Race come to our territory?”

”Who is that young man... He looks a little familiar.”

”I remember now! That young man is Li Yang of the Human Race. The elders mentioned him before, and I went back and specifically looked up information on this ’Human Li Yang’.”

”Human Li Yang has come here?”

One by one, the members of the Time Divine Tree race saw Li Yang. When one of them recognized him and told the others, a wave of discussion immediately swept through the area.

Li Yang’s name was very famous among the vassal races of the Human Race. Their own elders even used Li Yang as an example to motivate them to cultivate harder.

”Is Human Li Yang here because he wants to enter our Time Divine Tree territory?”

”Definitely. Why else would he be here?”

”I heard that Human Li Yang has a Talent for the Time Law. It goes without saying he’s here for a treasure that can help him advance in the Time Law faster.”

”Hmph. Our Time Divine Tree race isn’t a place you can just waltz into, and Human Li Yang is no exception. If he wants a treasure, he’s dreaming!”

”Notify Elder Leng Yue.”

Numerous gazes fell upon Li Yang, the eyes of these young Time Divine Trees clearly filled with hostility.

The Fire Nether Divine Beast race had the Fire Spirit Pearl, which could accelerate one’s comprehension of the Fire Element Law.

As for the Time Divine Tree race, being the natural darlings of the Time Law, they must also have treasures to speed up its comprehension, developed over countless years.

These were treasures that geniuses who comprehended the Time Law would be desperate to obtain.

WHOOSH!

Only a few seconds later, a figure flew over swiftly from the distance. Judging by the fluctuations of power from his body, he was clearly one of the Deities of the Time Divine Tree race.

”Human Li Yang.”

The Deity looked at Li Yang and asked directly, ”May I ask what brings you here?”

His attitude was very cold. As a race of natural-born Deities, they truly had no need to curry favor with Li Yang. Their race was even prouder than the Fire Nether Divine Beasts.

The Deity Leng Yue looked at Li Yang and spoke calmly. He had no intention of proactively inviting Li Yang into their territory.

Li Yang sensed the distance from the Time Divine Tree Deity before him. ’As expected,’ he thought, ’these races of natural-born Deities are very arrogant.’

Last time, the Blade Slaughter Sect Master had contacted the Fire Nether Divine Beast race first, arranged a trade for the Fire Spirit Pearl, and simply had him go pick it up. That was why the Fire Nether Divine Beasts had received him.

Without the Blade Slaughter Sect Master’s prior contact, Li Yang might not have even been able to enter the Fire Nether Divine Beast’s territory.

But this time, no powerful expert had smoothed the way with the Time Divine Tree race in advance.

Naturally, they felt no obligation to receive Li Yang.

This was the pride of a race of natural-born Deities; even as vassals of the Human Race, they remained this way.

Of course, the Human Race accepted and protected them because they also needed things from their races, such as the Fire Spirit Pearl that the Fire Nether Divine Beasts produced once every hundred million years.

The same was true for the Time Divine Tree race; they also had to hand over certain treasures to the Human Race on a regular basis.

With these thoughts in mind, Li Yang smiled. ”It’s nothing important. I was just passing by and thought I’d take a look.”

Seeing the attitude of this Time Divine Tree Deity, Li Yang knew he likely wouldn’t be able to enter their territory.

However, he hadn’t planned on entering in the first place.

Hearing Li Yang’s words, the Deity Leng Yue nodded. ”You may look around, but you cannot stay for too long.”

He gave Li Yang a glance, said nothing more, and offered no words of invitation before turning and leaving.

From start to finish, he had been completely cold, showing not the slightest intention of currying favor with Li Yang.

”Haha, Elder Leng Yue is so domineering! Human Li Yang must be stunned, probably thinking, ’Shouldn’t a genius like me be received with enthusiasm?’”

”Hmph! So what if he’s a genius? Every single one of us Time Divine Trees is a natural-born Deity. When it comes to Talent, how can the Human Race compare to us?”

”This Human Li Yang is clever, at least. Seeing Elder Leng Yue’s attitude, he didn’t even bring up asking for treasures. He must have guessed that even if he did, he’d most likely be refused.”

”Right. In that respect, Li Yang is much better than the human geniuses who came before. Our race was just as cold to them, but those geniuses still asked for treasures, only to be rejected and left in an awkward position.”

”Let’s see how long this Human Li Yang stays here.”

The young Time Divine Trees all looked at Li Yang, gossiping among themselves as they watched the show.

They clearly all believed that Li Yang had come to demand a treasure, but their elder’s cold reception forced him to change his story just to save face, claiming he was only there to look around.

Would Human Li Yang really be so idle as to be this interested in their Time Divine Tree race?

Therefore, Human Li Yang could only have one purpose: he was definitely here to ask for a treasure.

The many young Time Divine Trees were all conversing via voice transmission, their attention fixed on the scene.

In truth, they had been holding in a lot of resentment. Seeing the peerless human genius Li Yang in this state was incredibly satisfying for them.

They were looking at Li Yang as if he were a clown, but at that moment, Li Yang felt nothing at all.

’Now that I’ve reached the Time Divine Tree race, it’s time for my Time Divine Tree avatar to emerge,’ Li Yang thought to himself.

His true body had no need to enter the Time Divine Tree territory at all. As long as his avatar went in, that would be enough.
