”I felt the effect of Iria’s skill firsthand. It’s really amazing. This is invincible, isn’t it...”

”No, it’s not that. Masaharu’s reactions are too fast, so I can’t circle behind you and stab your anus.”

”But if it were a real sword duel to the death, Iria could have pierced my eyes or throat, right...”

”Yeah. As I said earlier, if she’s wrapped in flames like Ana or attacked with wide-range magic like yours, I’ll be at a disadvantage.”

”I see. Ability compatibility, huh. Iria is definitely weak to wide-range attacks from a distance. When she was surrounded by orcs she was injured too, so she’s probably bad at group battles?”

”Ah. If the fight drags on, even if I rewind one turn the situation won’t change.”

”Ah. Right. Hold your wooden sword straight forward for me.”

”Eh? Like this?”

Iria extended both her arm and wooden sword straight ahead.

It’s surprisingly short. The effective range of her ability is less than 2 meters.

”The range my sword can reach is the skill’s effective range, right?”

”Ah.”

”How long can I rewind time?”

”The time it takes to swing the sword once.”

Iria swung her sword. An instant. Almost unnoticeable.

”This time also... and this time also.”

Iria swung again. A sharp strike, but I could follow it with my eyes.

”So if I fail the attack, I can try again?”

”Ah. That interpretation might be easier to imagine. You can also accelerate the sword and swing it in 0 seconds.”

I see.

In other words, Iria’s attack methods are 0-second attacks and rewindable attacks.

It’s like practice mode rollback or ”take it back” in fighting games, or multiple ”pass” in shogi.

”Hey, the fact that the effective range is the sword’s reach made me a little curious. What if you use a longer sword? Does the range expand?”

”You worded it poorly. My weapon’s reach is the skill’s effective range. But this length feels right. Spears can also use the skill. Imagine a horse-lance tournament: when you charge past the enemy on horseback and trade blows, even if time is rewound both of you are still charging forward, so you’ll end up hitting the same spot anyway.”

”I see.”

Spears can only thrust, swing sideways, or swing down from above, and in all cases the attack is determined before you start the movement, so rewinding before an attack almost has no meaning.

But if the skill’s effect applies up to the range Iria thinks of as her own reach, won’t it be useful?

”What if I throw the sword?”

”Eh?”

”Attack range is always the effective range of my own attack, right? Then try throwing the sword and using the skill.”

I distanced myself about 5 meters from Iria and re-equipped the golden armor.

”Cosmic Golden Knight Sahar Galactic!”

”Is that a phrase I have to say?”

”Ah, yes. Look, I’ll keep swinging my hands up and down. Throw a sword at me and see if my movements stop.”

”Understood.”

Pokon.

The wooden sword flew from me and hit like it had been thrown normally. I kept swinging my hands up and down the whole time.

”How was it?”

”Ah. The moment it hit, Masaharu’s movements stopped.”

”Really? Success! If you keep repeating until it hits, it’ll be a sure thing!”

”Using the skill too much drains stamina, so I can’t do it many times. ...I have something I want to try. Can I do it again?”

”Sure.”

I handed Iria the wooden sword I had thrown.

”Go. I’ll attack from the air. Watch. Taah!”

Iria swung the wooden sword and threw it at me.

Pita!

For an instant the wooden sword stopped in mid-air. I see. At a distance from me she could recognize that time was stopped.

Then the wooden sword moved again and hit me.

”Amazing. You can use this to mess with opponents and do long-range attacks too. You can rewind until you hit the weak point, right? If you used a bow would it be the strongest?”

”I tried the bow, but the skill’s effect didn’t apply.”

”Why doesn’t it work? Maybe because it’s not a melee weapon?”

”No. Probably because the bow and arrow are separate objects. The skill’s effect applies to the range of the bow, not where the arrow lands.”

”Ah, that makes sense. Then what about throwing knives?”

”Throwing a knife? What do you mean?”

Hmm. I don’t think she got it.

Does this world not have a culture of throwing knives?

Is knife throwing only in manga?

Speaking of which, in medieval wars in both Japan and Europe they threw stones everywhere. Stones were the more popular weapon.

”As long as it’s a stone, short sword, knife, or thick nail, throw it at the opponent. If you use a normally flying knife and one that stops in mid-air, it’ll be pretty annoying for the opponent. Plus, maybe you can stop time at the spot where the knife hits?”

”I see. Stones aren’t used by knights so it’s impossible, but throwing knives is worth practicing.”

”Even if Ana wraps herself in flames all over, she probably can’t keep the flames active forever and there’ll be openings. Against someone with full-area defense, knives should still be effective. If I stop wide-range magic attacks with knives, it’ll be easier to avoid.”

”Amazing, Masaharu. You came up with that so naturally. I’ve never once thought of throwing a knife.”

In medieval European knight fights they knocked opponents off horses or tripped them with spears and swords, then stabbed the armor joints with knives to finish them. From knights of this era, the idea of throwing knives probably never occurs.

”I’ve been training flexible thinking with the battle tactic book that’s my hometown’s boy-manga.”

”Amazing, boy-manga...”

”It’s only the trigger for time stop, so the knife can be wooden. I’ll arrange a throwing weapon.”

I called Dura-san, who was building a carriage on the other side of the Glans-Neck Mountain Range.

’Hello, Dura-san.’

’Yes?’

’The killing power doesn’t matter, but can you make a small throwing knife out of wood that can be thrown?’

I pictured Iria throwing the knife.

’I’m not picky about the shape. What’s important is that I can throw it with my left hand during combat.’

’I see. I understand the purpose. I’ll prepare a few prototypes. Let the user try them later.’

’Please. Not only the carriage, you’re helping with this too. Thank you so much.’

’No, no. Thanks to you and your group, Mirai is growing up healthy. It’s a spirit of mutual help. It’s not an apology, but please keep taking milk from the cow girls for Mirai.’

’Understood.’

Call ended. I nodded at Iria and told her the negotiation was successful.

”Make Milk-san’s breasts squeeze.”

”Hey, weren’t you arranging throwing weapons?”

”Ah. Because Dura-san is making a few prototypes, instead let me grope your breasts.”

”...You want milk that badly.”

”Ah, that’s right.”

”I don’t know if it’s good or bad, but I’m starting to understand your Masaharu speech a little...”

Iria was probably going to power up next. Now it’s my turn.

Anyway, I have to train my footwork.

The enemies that are my natural nemeses are the ones who read minds and the ones who take away my body freedom when they step on my shadow. I need to learn to quickly read and dodge their attacks so I can survive even if they hit me.

I need real experience of being attacked with a sword.

I kept attacking Iria, touching her breasts and butt while dodging her wooden sword.

Our base physical abilities are about the same, and Iria has the time-manipulation skill, so I can’t touch her at all.

Instead, Iria is poking my armor all over with her wooden sword.

But both of us keep moving, and even while using time manipulation Iria moves her body, so she’s more fatigued than me.

Even if my movements are erased, Iria’s movements are not erased.

”Haa haa.”

”What’s wrong? You’re breathing hard. Are you excited? How about grope my breasts and butt more and feel even better?”

”Kuh!”

I’m also breathing a little hard, but Iria has sweat on her forehead and is shaking her shoulders up and down while breathing. Her shirt is see-through and her bra is visible. The difference in fatigue is obvious. Soon I’ll be able to grope her breasts.

Gaku-n!

Iria’s knees buckled. Fatigue had accumulated.

I used the opening to circle behind her, wrapped my arms around both of her armpits, and hugged her in a cross-arm lock.

Shit. Because I hugged a sweaty girl, I got erect.

I had been excited during training all the time, so if I don’t ejaculate now I won’t be able to move anymore.

”I win.”

”Haa haa, well done, Masaharu.”

”Haa haa.”

”Haa haa.”

Both of us were soaked in sweat and breathing hard.

Every time I breathed, the scent of Iria’s sweat tickled my nose.

Kuh. My erection was pressed against my armor and hurt.

I want to ejaculate for two reasons.

Bashun!

I released the golden armor.

My freed cock touched Iria’s bloomers through my long robe.
