Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 1798: Chapter 1800: Betrayal

Ye Luo’s words left Yun Liancheng dumbfounded!

Although he had always known that Ye Luo was formidable, Ye Luo actually went to the Da Yue Empire and brazenly seized their throne!

This is just too incredible!

Of course, Yun Liancheng naturally didn’t dare to disobey Ye Luo’s orders.

”Your Highness, I understand how to handle it, but if possible, please issue the order in your own way. After all, I am not qualified to give orders on your behalf. Moreover, Your Highness, bringing the entire Da Yue Empire here, can our territory even accommodate so many people?”

It wasn’t that Yun Liancheng was worried; rather, it was an actual issue!

The Da Yue Empire has always been an empire that could rival the Great Tang Empire, and they even once desired to seize the Great Tang Empire!

Wasn’t the reason Ye Luo went to the Da Yue Empire precisely because of this issue?

If it weren’t for the Commerce Alliance’s invasion, Ye Luo would probably still be figuring out how to avoid a war between the two countries!

This means that the population of the Da Yue Empire is probably not less than that of the Great Tang Empire!

Ye Luo actually wants to relocate the entire Da Yue Empire’s populace, which is an incredibly terrifying thought!

Ye Luo’s current territory is merely a few dozen cities, how could it possibly accommodate the entire Da Yue Empire.

Ye Luo slightly furrowed his brow. It seemed he could only issue the order to commence warfare!

”Alright, next, you record my **, and then show it to everyone. Now, by the authority of the Prince of Wuwei and Grand Marshal of the Great Tang’s Garrison Corps, I hereby declare war on any rebellious forces of the Great Tang Empire, to reclaim all lost territories. Simultaneously, I hereby appoint Yun Liancheng as Commanding Commander, fully in charge of this matter! Those who disobey will be executed without mercy!”

It’s just a **, but the meaning it represents is clear to everyone!

Yun Liancheng never expected that Ye Luo would appoint him as Commander!

Yun Liancheng is loyal to Ye Luo, but he is well aware that he doesn’t have that capability!

”Your Highness, this is absolutely impossible. Liancheng cannot even command ten thousand of the Royal Mansion’s guards properly, let alone be any kind of commander. Please find someone else!”

Ye Luo smiled slightly, yet a bit helplessly said, ”Brother Yun, who do you suggest I find? You know perfectly well my situation, stop teasing me. Alright, you’re the Commander, and besides, appointing you Commander doesn’t mean you need to handle everything yourself. Can’t you delegate tasks to other generals? Furthermore, you can always discuss matters with the Princess and others, and the Emperor will surely support my intention to send troops for nationwide unification. He will naturally recommend generals for you!”

Ye Luo issued such an order out of necessity. Should he return the power to the Emperor of Great Tang?

Ye Luo could never do that, for he had long understood the downside of having no personal power, hence he must build his own strength. Besides, Ye Luo knew perfectly well why the Emperor of Great Tang had initially granted him this power.

So, once Ye Luo returns the power, the Emperor of Great Tang would likely be the first to target him!

After all, Ye Luo is not a true prince!

Who isn’t selfish?

Ye Luo dared not trust that the Emperor of Great Tang would be so benevolent!

Moreover, Ye Luo still had to be responsible for the people of the Da Yue Empire.

Unless Ye Luo himself holds power, how could these two countries truly merge?

If the power were returned to the Emperor of the Great Tang, the people from the Da Yue Empire would only end up as servants!

In Da Yue, Ye Luo is the true king, while in Great Tang...

If not for valuing the Great Tang Empire’s advanced technological strength, Ye Luo would even prefer taking his people from Wuwei Royal Mansion to the Da Yue Empire!

Yun Liancheng understood Ye Luo’s intention and wasn’t dissatisfied because Ye Luo doubted his ability; instead, he was rather pleased, knowing that Ye Luo trusted him as a person!

To put it bluntly, Ye Luo’s arrangement was merely to let Yun Liancheng hold the title of Commander as a figurehead.

His real task was to select people loyal to Ye Luo and let them command the troops!

If that was the case, then things would be much simpler, thus Yun Liancheng did not decline and accepted.

Being among the first to know Ye Luo, Yun Liancheng naturally understood many secrets about Ye Luo unknown to others.

Of course, nowadays, those secrets probably wouldn’t matter to anyone!

Ye Luo is already the Demon King of Da Yue and the Prince of Wuwei of the Great Tang Empire. Who would dare to say anything else?

Ye Luo certainly couldn’t manage matters over at the Great Tang Empire.

Thankfully, the Wuwei Royal Mansion’s strength was already the most formidable!

Despite wielding actual control over less than one percent of the Great Tang Empire, its military strength was equivalent to a quarter of the entire empire!

It can be said that no force could resist if the Wuwei Royal Mansion chose to act against them!

Moreover, Ye Luo’s current command was merely to open the path to the Demon Clan!

With that, Yun Liancheng had considerably fewer things to deal with!

Of course, after arranging matters at the Great Tang Empire’s side, Ye Luo was set to immediately embark for the background!

Even without the crazy Lion Clan, Ye Luo, having become the Demon King of Da Yue, would indeed have taken his people to the Great Tang Empire, just with fewer numbers.

The merger of the two countries, the most critical aspect wasn’t Ye Luo becoming the emperor of both nations but rather the civilians from both countries truly accepting each other!

This required time, and Ye Luo could only strive to create these conditions!

With the rapid assembly of the troops from the Three Realms, not long after, Ye Luo gathered a terrifying army of 1.2 million strong!

This time, internal tribes were fervently supporting Ye Luo, with these families alone providing a force of 800,000!

Apparently, tribal families still represented the most powerful strength!

A force of 1.2 million marched mightily towards the Northern Territory.

The newly self-proclaimed Demon King had not long been recognized when he was already fuming with rage.

He never expected Ye Luo to act so quickly, nor anticipated Ye Luo would gain such overwhelming support.

However, that was the reality!

Helpless, the prince could only turn to the Commerce Alliance for support.

But, how much power does the Commerce Alliance even have nowadays?

Moreover, Ye Luo’s strength had already spread throughout the Commerce Alliance, so upon hearing of Ye Luo’s arrival, not only did the Commerce Alliance refrain from aiding the crazy Lion Clan, they even hastily withdrew their troops!

Of course, before retreating, they pillaged whatever they could!

Poor prince, unable to provoke the Commerce Alliance, yet equally incapable of confronting Ye Luo!
