Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 1754: Chapter 1756: Hold the Line or Counterattack

It can be said that Ye Luo was in a very beautiful mood, after all, this ability is something any man would probably enjoy!

With a pleasant mood, Ye Luo walked into the large tent.

In the span of just three days, the battlefield hadn’t changed much. Bases everywhere were still following Ye Luo’s orders to either rescue or hold their positions, steadily reclaiming the Southern Territory land step by step.

Everything was still on track.

Of course, the people from the Commerce Alliance probably weren’t in as good a mood. The assassins they sent were once again perfectly subdued by Ye Luo. It’s unclear what the Commerce Alliance is thinking now!

”Go, inform all the commanders, discuss strategy in the main tent!”

Ye Luo said to a messenger, who quickly ran out, and soon, one by one, the commanders entered the main tent.

Ye Luo did not hesitate, and went straight to the point: ”Tell me, what are your thoughts? The Southern Territory is now stable, but I can’t always stay in Nanjing. Other parts of the Empire are still fighting, and I must offer support. Propose a plan, be it to hold our ground, counterattack, or any other decision. Feel free to speak your mind!”

It turns out that Ye Luo felt he had stayed in the Southern Territory too long and was worried about the battles in the Eastern and Northern Territories. Now he had the thought of leaving!

Although the commanders of the Southern Territory did not want Ye Luo to leave, what Ye Luo said made sense. It wasn’t just the Southern Territory that had enemy invasions, and as a prince, Ye Luo couldn’t stay stationed here forever!

In the tent, a low murmuring started as everyone began to discuss.

Ye Luo didn’t stop them, letting them continue their discussion.

A moment later, they reached a conclusion.

Remarkably, they all supported a counterattack. Of course, these recent battles had been very successful, so naturally, they hoped to counterattack, reclaim lost land, and drive the enemies out!

However, while they all supported a counterattack, there were different ideas on how to proceed.

Broadly speaking, there were three approaches.

One suggested that Ye Luo maintain the current situation and slowly recover lost territories, as this was considered the safest and most secure approach.

The second suggested seeking a decisive battle with the enemy’s main forces. As long as they defeated the main enemy forces, they could completely solve the Southern Territory’s problems.

This idea, although risky, Ye Luo had to admit, might indeed be the quickest way to solve the Southern Territory’s problems!

As for the third idea, it was somewhat of a compromise.

Someone suggested Ye Luo first enter the surrounding mountains to tame some powerful demon beasts to assist in battle before seeking out the enemy’s main forces!

This idea was considered pretty good as well.

After all, having a large number of powerful demon beasts would significantly reduce the losses during a counterattack.

After all, the Southern Territory is different from the Western Frontier.

Strategic Behemoths were used less frequently because of the terrain. Therefore, many times auxiliary demon beasts proved to be more effective!

Each of the three plans has its own advantages.

So, what would Ye Luo choose?

Ye Luo furrowed his brow and pondered carefully.

After some thought, Ye Luo decided to adopt the third plan!

Seeking a decisive battle and crushing the enemies of the Southern Territory in one strike was something Ye Luo supported as well, but he was reluctant to incur heavy losses. After all, in the Da Yue Empire, every soldier was extremely valuable, and Ye Luo couldn’t accept excessive losses.

Utilizing demon beasts in combat would undoubtedly minimize losses effectively, so Ye Luo naturally chose the third plan.

However, Ye Luo made a slight modification: he wanted to mobilize more people to tame demon beasts!

After all, the more demon beasts there were, the more effective they would be in battle.

Having made up his mind, Ye Luo issued a direct order.

”Alright, in that case, let’s first tame the demon beasts, and then engage in the decisive battle. I’ll give you five days to have the soldiers tame some demon beasts! They don’t need to be too powerful, as long as the numbers are sufficient!”

”Yes, Your Highness!”

Everyone accepted the order and began to leave one after another.

The reason Ye Luo made such an arrangement was also because, even though the mountains and forests were filled with danger, making it daunting to enter easily.

But precisely because of this, setting up ambushes in the mountains and forests could yield tremendous results!

Perhaps sending soldiers to infiltrate might not work well, as traversing through mountain ranges was almost impossible.

But using demon beasts was different. These demon beasts were originally from the surrounding mountains, making them easier to dispatch and ambush!

With the plan decided, all of Three Stone City was immediately mobilized.

Ye Luo wanted more demon beasts, so naturally, not only soldiers but everyone else needed to help too!

Of course, while others were to tame ordinary small demon beasts, Ye Luo was not merely interested in these small ones; he wanted to capture the big ones!

With the mobilization order issued, all of Three Stone City was in an uproar. For the Demon Clan, taming demon beasts was something they were eager to do, though typically, they would form small groups to hunt for the demon beasts they wanted. More often, many even relied on buying young demon beasts from trade caravans to raise them themselves.

In summary, large-scale demon beast hunting operations had almost never been organized before.

Although Ye Luo organized everyone to hunt beasts in the mountains for military preparations this time, for both the military and civilians, it was undoubtedly a grand event.

Many no longer wore the worries of war on their faces; instead, there was only the excitement of beast hunting.

Speaking of beast hunting, Ye Luo still thought that Ao Long might be more adept than Feng Ling.

It’s not that Ao Long mastered more hunting techniques, but because Ao Long, as a member of the Dragon Clan, could emit an aura strong enough to suppress most demon beasts.

Therefore, this time, Ye Luo only brought Ao Long deeper into the mountains.

As for Feng Ling, she stayed on the outskirts, as there were certain dangers associated with hunting on the periphery, and Feng Ling’s presence reduced unnecessary military and civilian casualties.

The beast-hunting operation quickly unfolded in full swing, with nearly seventy thousand military and civilian personnel participating.

A full seventy thousand people, virtually surrounding the entire mountain range that Ye Luo had selected, then sweeping inwards from the outside.

Anyway, the goal this time was clear: tame these demon beasts and use them as cannon fodder against the enemy.

This way, there was no need to distinguish between good or bad demon beasts, or whether they were personally favored.

The Demon Clan could tame demon beasts without limitation, as long as they had the strength. Leading an army of demon beasts alone was not uncommon.

Additionally, since the beast-hunting operation was a collective endeavor, with everyone watching out for each other, the speed was indeed rapid!
