Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 1525: Chapter 1526: Forbidden Land Exploration

”Yue Ying, you say this is the Moon God Palace, but why does it look to me as if this place has long been abandoned?”

Ye Luo looked around at the chaotic scene, and even the large open area at the center was overgrown with weeds, so he asked Yue Ying.

Yue Ying nodded and said, ”Young Master is right, this place has been abandoned for over a hundred years!”

Yue Ying paused for a moment and continued, ”I also heard from my master that our Moon God Palace is a sect that only accepts women, and it has always been reclusive, rarely venturing out. However, about a hundred years ago, an elder from the palace caught the eye of a son of a great clan who wanted to take her as a concubine. Although the sect does not restrict marriages among disciples, once married, they must leave the palace!”

”The elder was merely twenty years old at the time and naturally couldn’t agree. Who would have thought that the clan’s young master would actually attempt to take her by force? Although the elder was young, she was a genius in the palace, with remarkable cultivation at a young age. After a fierce battle, she managed to defeat the clan’s young master!”

”However, the trouble actually started from this incident. Originally, our elder didn’t even harm the clan’s young master, but the conflicts between clans never ceased. Someone secretly acted again, assassinating the clan’s young master shortly after our elder left, and framed our Moon God Palace for the crime!”

”Our Moon God Palace has always stayed away from worldly affairs, and our strength was not really formidable. When that Great Clan attacked, the palace was completely unable to resist, and aside from a few, the majority were captured!”

”However, at the time, the palace regarded this place as a Forbidden Land, so not many people knew about it, and it was seldom visited. Thus, this valley was preserved, and my master was among those who escaped. They returned here, took away everything useful, and to prevent discovery by the Great Clan, they set this place ablaze!”

”Young Master, please rest assured, this valley is extremely hidden, and it is rare for anyone to come to this forest, so it is safe for the sisters to reside here.”

Ye Luo nodded, and when he looked around, he vaguely noticed traces of fire.

Unexpectedly, this valley has such a history!

Yue Ying didn’t mention her own experiences, and Ye Luo naturally wouldn’t inquire further as these were past events. There was no need for Ye Luo to unearth Yue Ying’s scars.

”The valley is indeed nice, but isn’t it a bit too small to accommodate over twenty thousand people?”

Ye Luo examined the valley. Although it was large, accommodating over twenty thousand people seemed unlikely!

”Young Master, I once heard from my master that the Forbidden Land had multiple layers of protection, and many spaces were completely hidden. At that time, because they were weak and did not understand the key to the Forbidden Land, my master and her companions did not discover its secrets. Over the following decades, the Great Clan kept hunting down the Moon God Palace escapees because they heard rumors of treasures in the Forbidden Land. Many aunts and uncles met their ends or disappeared, and even my master was killed ten years ago. Therefore, I suspect there are still some secrets here that we have not uncovered!”

”Oh?”

Ye Luo gently raised his eyebrows; there’s still more to this place?

On the surface, this valley seems unremarkable, but since Yue Ying said so, she probably wouldn’t mention it without reason.

”By the way, Yue Ying, since your master died ten years ago, how did you know about this place?”

Suddenly, Ye Luo thought of a point of doubt and immediately asked.

Yue Ying smiled slightly and took out a map.

Ye Luo took the map and found it turned out to be a detailed map of this forest! It was obviously a hand-drawn piece, and since it was drawn on ordinary paper, it had already yellowed with age.

While the trees in the forest might change, the mountains and rivers wouldn’t. With this map, finding this place wasn’t impossible!

”Young Master, please look, this is the only relic my master left me. When my master was captured, everything in the house was taken away, but they overlooked this map drawn on ordinary paper due to its simplicity. I actually visited here once before being caught by the Yingchen Family, which is why I know the exact location!”

So that’s how it is. Looking at the map, Ye Luo nodded slightly.

”Alright, Lian’er, immediately organize people to tidy up the place. I will have food sent here, and you should start organizing the valley. You might have to hide here for quite a while!”

”Yue Ying, come with me to take a look around and see if we can find any hidden secrets here!”

After making arrangements, Ye Luo took Yue Ying to thoroughly inspect the valley!

Everyone understood why Ye Luo made such arrangements. After all, they were fugitives now, not only hunted by the Yingchen Family but probably by the Great Tang authorities too. Living in the outside world would mean constant fear and caution. Besides, even if they wanted to leave, now wasn’t the time, as this area was still under the Chen Family’s control, leaving would be suicidal!

Since everyone was safe, Ye Luo naturally wouldn’t let Yun Liancheng risk himself further, so Ye Luo would let Yun Liancheng join him here. When Yun Liancheng and the others came, bringing food along the way was only natural!

Ye Luo and Yue Ying casually walked in the cave.

Perhaps others couldn’t do anything about this place and couldn’t find its hidden secrets, but Ye Luo was different. As long as he activated the Clairvoyant Eye, any secret in this cave could be detected!

Sure enough, it didn’t take long for Ye Luo to find a secret chamber!

This was a secret chamber hidden by an optical illusion, built directly onto the cave wall. Judging by its furnishings, it seemed to be a chamber used for seclusion!

After finding it, Ye Luo didn’t hesitate and immediately broke it open!

In fact, there was nothing much in this secret chamber, except for a stone bed; there wasn’t even a single chair.

However, this was a good start, as it proved there are hidden areas here, and Ye Luo intended to continue searching the rest!

This search took an entire day!
