Chapter 957: Chapter 957 Genetically Modified People Reappear

”I never thought your strength would have recovered!” the man said blandly as he looked at Hou Jingwu.

”Damn it, how could your strength possibly have recovered?”

Bai Yu was still wearing a look of disbelief as he stared at Hou Jingwu.

Initially, they had witnessed with their own eyes how Hou Jingwu’s Dantian was shattered by a disciple of the Dao Sect, and it was permanently damaged. Even taking elixirs wouldn’t restore it, so how could his strength possibly have recovered?

What they didn’t know was that Hou Jingwu was of the Star Physique, whose cultivation mainly relied on the acupoints throughout his body, meaning he could still cultivate without a Dantian.

”Bai Yu, stop causing trouble. I will return to Jiu Hua Sect, but not now. You all go back first and tell my father not to worry about me,”

Die Wu said outright.

”No way, Die Wu, I am here by the Sect Leader’s orders to take you back, and I must take you no matter what,” Bai Yu said resolutely.

”You can try!”

Hou Jingwu stepped forward, releasing a chilly aura all around him, his gaze fixed coldly on Bai Yu, as a scent of gunpowder filled the air.

”Cheng Senior Brother, take him down!”

Bai Yu said to the man next to him, who was staring intently at Hou Jingwu.

”Are you sure you want to fight me?”

Hou Jingwu looked unhappily at the man.

”You are no match for me; this is the Sect Leader’s order, Die Wu must return to Jiu Hua Sect,”

the man said coldly.

”Fine, we’ll all go back together.”

Hou Jingwu said gravely, holding Die Wu’s hand.

”You...”

Bai Yu’s expression darkened, his eyes fixed on Hou Jingwu.

”What’s wrong? Can’t I, a current disciple of Jiu Hua Sect, return?” Hou Jingwu swept Bai Yu with a faint glance.

”If that’s the case, let’s all go back together,”

Cheng Yinan responded.

Then Hou Jingwu approached his father Hou Yaoyang and said, ”Father, I need to make a trip back to Jiu Hua Sect first. Please let the boss know for me.”

”Jingwu, you...” Hou Yaoyang looked at Hou Jingwu, his expressions mingled with worry.

”Don’t worry, father, I won’t be in any trouble,”

Hou Jingwu smiled, while Bai Yu’s gaze at Hou Jingwu flashed with a cold and fierce light.

Soon after, the group left the place and returned to Jiu Hua Sect.

”Father, I always feel like something might happen to Jingwu now that he’s returned to Jiu Hua Sect!”

Hou Yaoyang said worriedly, frowning.

”No matter what, Jingwu is the disciple of the Sect Leader of Jiu Hua Sect, and Die Wu is the daughter of the Sect Leader. There shouldn’t be any problems, so don’t borrow trouble,”

Old Master Hou shook his head.

Capital City, in the hotel suite where Duan Ningyu resided, Ye Luo appeared here.

”Mr. Ye, how have you considered it?”

Duan Ningyu looked at Ye Luo with hopeful eyes while Shui Lanxin also gazed intently at him.

Ye Luo, sitting on the sofa, glanced lightly at the two women and said, ”Are you sure if I give you this, you are truly loyal to me and willing to agree to anything I ask?”

”Of course, as long as you can help the Five Elements Sect regain its glory, I can agree to any of your demands.”

Duan Ningyu said without hesitation.

”It seems you are really willing to sacrifice everything for the Five Elements Sect. Is it worth it?” Ye Luo sighed.

”My grandfather and my father dedicated their lives to the Five Elements Sect. Their greatest wish was to restore the Sect’s glory. As their granddaughter and daughter, I naturally want to fulfill this wish for them.”

Duan Ningyu spoke with a calm expression.

”Well then, seeing your sincerity, I can agree to it. However, the Five Elements Sect must follow my commands in everything and harbor no ill will. Otherwise, I will not be polite.”

Ye Luo said coldly.

”Understood. However, there are still several elders in the Five Elements Sect. If you have time, please come with us to Macau to meet those elders and let the disciples of the Five Elements Sect get to know you. It will also facilitate your management later.”

Duan Ningyu said as she looked at Ye Luo.

”Okay, wait for my message.”

Having said that, Ye Luo stood up and left the place.

After Ye Luo left, Shui Lanxin looked at Duan Ningyu and said, ”Sect Leader, you’ve decided to hand over the Five Elements Sect to him just like that. Will the three great elders agree? And the other disciples of the Five Elements Sect, what if they don’t agree? After all, Ye Luo is an outsider, and he’s so young.”

”There’s nothing they wouldn’t agree to. The Five Elements Sect needs him to rise again, or we’ll be useless on our own. I believe the three great elders will understand.”

”Don’t worry about the others. Now that Jin Yunhai and Lin Zhishan are dead, people from the Metal Sect and Wood Sect dare not say anything. As for Huo Ji, if she dares to say anything, then there’s no need to keep her.”

Duan Ningyu spoke with a decisive and authoritative tone.

At the headquarters of the Special Security Bureau, Ye Luo came here right after receiving a call from Zhao Gang.

”Really, Genetically Modified People?”

In Zhao Gang’s office, when Ye Luo found out that the person who attacked him last night was truly a Genetically Modified Person, he couldn’t help but be surprised.

”Yes, it’s definitely Genetically Modified People, and according to tests, these Genetically Modified People are very similar to those seized in Zhonghai before. It’s assumed that these were created using the data and information of that previous batch.”

”Most importantly, this batch of Genetically Modified People has been enhanced with the genes of various wild animals, transforming into this new type of mutant Genetically Modified People. They possess the formidable abilities of various wild animals, and their powers are hundreds of times greater,” Zhao Gang said gravely.

A flicker of astonishment passed through Ye Luo’s eyes. ”It seems that the people who took the Genetically Modified People’s data back then have now created a new type of beast Genetically Modified People, and their power is even stronger than the batch developed by the Han Family before.”

”That’s right. Based on our tests and discoveries, as well as your experience last night, the abilities of these Genetically Modified People are extremely powerful, at least possessing the power from the Saint Realm to the Hua Yuan Realm. If produced in large quantities, the consequences could be unimaginable,” Zhao Gang said solemnly.

Ye Luo nodded. If the Genetically Modified People were indeed so powerful and could be mass-produced, it would be tantamount to creating a group of experts.

”And all of them would be experts with powers beyond the Saint Realm, which would absolutely cause a massive disruption and impact on the order of the secular world of Huaxia.”

”Do we have any leads now on who might be behind this?” Ye Luo asked Zhao Gang.

”We haven’t found anything yet. If it weren’t for the Genetically Modified Person attacking you last night, we would probably still be unaware of all this. Clearly, the mastermind behind this is very well hidden.”
