Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 766: Chapter 766: Removing the Bullet_1

”Since that’s the case, I’ll address you as Xiao Ye. Xiao Ye, I assume you are well aware of the reason I have asked for you to come here.” Hou Xiangguo said as he looked at Ye Luo, and Old Mo’s eyes also turned towards Ye Luo, revealing an unusual expression.

Ye Luo nodded. ”Indeed, I can remove the bullet fragment in your brain, and the fragment has already started to progressively compress your nerves and blood vessels.”

”Your sudden cerebral hemorrhage was caused by this bullet fragment. Therefore, for your safety, it must be removed as soon as possible, otherwise, you might be at great risk of losing your life.”

”This...” Hou Xiangguo hesitated, glancing at Old Mo.

”Since this young man says so, let’s trust him. Moreover, I have already consulted with the National Doctor Mu, and even he has high praise for your medical skills. I believe you have the ability.”

Old Mo looked at Ye Luo and said with a smile.

”Alright, Xiao Ye, since you say so, I will trust you. However, this bullet fragment was left inside me when I fought in the war with the Great Ancestor. Back then, medical conditions were inadequate, and it couldn’t be removed.”

”Although medical expertise has advanced today, the risks have been too great, and so I have not had it removed. Now, it has been with me for over forty years. I never expected there would come a day when it could possibly be taken out.”

Hou Xiangguo sighed and looked at Ye Luo. ”What do you plan to do?”

”Nothing special, just prepare a scalpel and gauze.”

”Is it really that simple?” Hou Xiangguo and the others seemed stunned.

”It’s that simple.” Ye Luo nodded. For him, possessing the Clairvoyant Eye and Silver Needle was enough; the scalpel and gauze were just aids.

The main reason the bullet fragment in Hou Xiangguo’s brain was difficult to remove was the plethora of nerves and blood vessels within the brain. Even the most skilled doctors would find it hard to operate.

Any damage to a nerve or blood vessel could be fatal to Hou Xiangguo, and given his exceptional status, no one could afford the consequences if anything went awry.

Hence, no doctor dared to remove the bullet fragment. However, with the Clairvoyant Eye, Ye Luo could clearly scan the entire brain, naturally fearless of any mishap, and his exceptional acupuncture skills made him even more confident.

Soon, within the room where Hou Xiangguo was resting, he lay on the bed with a scalpel and gauze placed beside him, and Ye Luo stood to one side.

Hou Yaoyang and Old Mo remained outside to avoid disturbing Ye Luo. Following them, Hou Yaoxing, Hou Yaoyue, and the Hou Family’s third son, Hou Yaochen, wearing military uniforms, hurried over from the military district.

”Big brother, having a twenty-something kid remove the bullet fragment from father—is that really reliable? If he makes a mistake, father could be in danger,” said Hou Yaochen, the third son of the Hou Family, clad in a military uniform, his eyes thick with skepticism, the strong, martial air about him unmistakable. Hou Yaoxing’s expression was dark, and he did not speak, while Hou Yaoyue looked worried.

”Both Old Mo and National Doctor Mu have praised his medical skills as exceptional. I believe he can do it,” Hou Yaoyang said solemnly, yet his eyes could not completely hide his concern. After all, the well-being of the family patriarch and future of the Hou Family were at stake, and the bullet fragment was incredibly difficult to remove. Even National Doctor Mu was helpless, so it was natural for Hou Yaoyang to be uneasy.

”I hope that guy doesn’t put father in danger, or I will never forgive him,” Hou Yaochen said with a stern face.

Inside the room, Ye Luo stood by the bed with several Silver Needles already appearing in his hand, piercing Hou Xiangguo’s body, inducing a sleep akin to anesthesia.

With the Clairvoyant Eye activated, he could clearly see the location of the bullet fragment, with the nerves and blood vessels in the brain all imprinted in Ye Luo’s eyes.

Ye Luo took out several Silver Needles, surged with True Qi for disinfection, and then inserted them into Hou Xiangguo’s brain. The needles entered halfway, and strands of Nine Yang True Qi flowed through the needles into his brain.

What Ye Luo needed to do was use the Silver Needles and True Qi to move the bullet fragment to the outer layer of the brain, and then cut open the brain with a scalpel to remove the fragment.

After more than ten minutes of effort, Ye Luo finally moved the bullet fragment to the outer layer of the brain with the Silver Needles and True Qi without damaging any nerves or blood vessels.

Ye Luo then took a scalpel, disinfected it with True Qi, and slowly cut open the skull. Because he had already sealed off the blood vessels in the brain with the Silver Needles, there was not much blood spilling out.

He deftly cut open Hou Xiangguo’s skull and finally removed the bullet fragment. The next step was to use the Nine Yang True Qi and acupuncture to quickly heal the wound, and then wrapping it with a bandage to complete the task.

Only after all this did Ye Luo allow Hou Xiangguo to awaken.

”How am I doing?”

Hou Xiangguo’s eyes opened, and he looked somewhat bewildered at Ye Luo.

Ye Luo simply showed him the removed bullet fragment, and Hou Xiangguo, seeing the piece that had been lodged in his brain for decades, appeared immensely excited.

”It’s finally out,” Hou Xiangguo said with a face full of emotion.

Ye Luo then opened the door and walked out, Hou Yaoyang and the others were waiting outside anxiously.

”Mr. Ye, how is my father?” Hou Yaoyang asked quickly when he saw Ye Luo, his expression filled with nervousness.

Hou Yaochen and the others also fixed their gaze on Ye Luo.

”The bullet fragment has been removed. The old master is fine now; you can go in and see him,” Ye Luo said briefly, and one by one, Hou Yaoyang and the others rushed excitedly into the room. Hou Yaoxing’s eyes, however, carried a shadowy and gloomy look as he glanced at Ye Luo.

Seeing that look from Hou Yaoxing, Ye Luo knew that this fellow probably harbored resentment towards him over the recent events, but he did not care at all. If this second young master of the Hou Family dared to do anything to him, he would certainly not show mercy.

At that moment, Ye Luo’s Clairvoyant Eye was scanning across the entire Hou Family residences, and soon his Clairvoyant Eye caught sight of a young woman lying on a bed in one of the rooms, wearing a long pale white dress, her complexion pallid and delicate features conveying a sense of fragility.

However, her eyes were tightly closed, and Ye Luo discovered that her soul had sustained severe trauma, causing her to lie in a comatose state, while a figure sat beside her, clutching the woman’s hand and speaking to her.

This person was Hou Jingwu, and the woman was clearly the beloved daughter of the Jiu Hua Sect Sect Leader favored by the Hou Family’s eldest young master.

It seemed that this Miss Die Wu’s comatose, vegetative state was due to her soul being injured, which is why she was like this. A soul trauma is indeed far more severe and harder to recover from than physical injuries.
