Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 764: Chapter 764: Stepping into the Hou Family_1

Less than ten minutes had passed when Hou Yaoxing arrived with his men, but among them was also Hou Yaoyang.

”Yao Xing, you’re here. Quick, arrest this murderer. He killed Xiao Kun as well. I want him to die a horrible death!”

Yang Xiufang saw her husband arrive and immediately screamed frantically, but Hou Yaoxing’s expression was very unsightly.

”Shut up!” Hou Yaoxing coldly shouted at Yang Xiufang.

”Sister-in-law, do you realize Mr. Ye is the savior who saved the old family head’s life, and yet you want to kill him?”

Hou Yaoyang, dressed in a Sun Yat-sen suit, looked at Yang Xiufang with a solemn and deep expression.

”I don’t care! He not only injured my son but also killed my nephew Xiao Kun. I will make sure he’s dead without a place to be buried!”

Yang Xiufang yelled manically, her eyes flickering with ferocity and resentment.

Slap!

”Shut up!” Hou Yaoxing slapped Yang Xiufang across the face, leaving her somewhat dazed.

”Mr. Ye, I apologize. My sister-in-law is spouting nonsense. Please forgive her,” Hou Yaoyang hurriedly said to Ye Luo.

”The Hou family indeed has talents everywhere,” Ye Luo commented nonchalantly, causing Hou Yaoyang’s face to flush with embarrassment.

”Mr. Ye, I was actually looking for you. What you said yesterday about being able to remove the bullet fragment from my father’s brain, is it true?” Hou Yaoyang asked Ye Luo.

”Of course, I can. But it’s better if you take care of the situation here first,” Ye Luo said indifferently.

Hou Yaoyang’s eyes flickered, he asked, ”Mr. Ye, could you explain what exactly happened here?”

Ye Luo briefly recounted the events, then looked at Hou Yaoyang: ”So I killed that guy. No problem, right?”

”Everything is Yang Kun’s fault, not Mr. Ye’s. There’s no issue at all,” Hou Yaoyang said quickly.

However, Hou Yaoxing, Yang Tiancheng, and Yang Xiufang’s faces turned incredibly sour. Their relative had been killed, and yet the culprit seemingly bore no fault. They felt extremely aggrieved inside but were helpless to do anything about it.

”And this one, I’ve heard he’s the president of the Capital City Beauty Association. I think he should no longer hold that position,” Ye Luo said, glancing at Yan Zhenglong.

”Mr. Ye, rest assured, I’ll have someone handle this matter immediately,” Hou Yaoyang nodded. Hearing this, Yan Zhenglong’s heart skipped a beat and, with too much blood loss, he completely passed out.

Moreover, due to excessive blood loss, the man ultimately died on the operating table, a victim of great misfortune.

”I’ve heard that the Hou family has some clout in Capital City. My aunt’s Meiyue Company has three beauty products that we want to launch in Capital City, and I would appreciate the family head’s help,” Ye Luo said to Hou Yaoyang with a smile.

”No problem at all,” Hou Yaoyang replied without hesitation. These matters were trivial for the Hou family, and they would do anything as long as Ye Luo could remove the bullet from the old family head’s brain.

After all, the Hou family’s current status hinged on the existence of the old family head, a founding figure of the nation. If he were to pass away, the Hou family’s influence would surely drop by half.

The bullet fragment in the old family head’s brain was gradually threatening his life, which explained Hou Yaoyang’s urgency.

”Auntie, Sister Yan, you can go back first. The matter is resolved, and you can rest easy now,” Ye Luo said to Yan Ling and Luo Jingxuan.

The two women watched as a trace of helpless amusement appeared at the corners of Ye Luo’s mouth. The task they exhausted all their efforts on but failed to achieve was accomplished with just one sentence from Ye Luo, who successfully secured Meiyue Company’s position in Capital City. Knowing this, they wouldn’t have bothered so much or gotten into this mess.

Following that, the two women left with Hei Zi and Hu Zi, while Ye Luo followed Hou Yaoyang to the Hou residence.

As for the tearoom’s private room, Hou Yaoxing, Yang Xiufang, and Yang Tiancheng were still there.

”Xiao Kun, it’s dad’s fault for not having the strength to protect you!” Looking at Yang Kun’s body on the ground, Yang Tiancheng knelt, his face etched with sorrow.

”Hou Yaoxing, tell me, what use are you?” Yang Xiufang pointed at him and yelled in a furious tone, her expression filled with resentment and unwillingness. ”Your son was beaten and left lying in a hospital bed, yet you were indifferent. Now, even your own nephew has been killed and you don’t dare to let out a peep. Do you even qualify as a man?”

Hou Yaoxing’s complexion was terribly grim, his eyes flickering with cold glints.

”Do you think I don’t want to avenge Jingwen?” he said. ”But that kid not only saved the old man’s life, you heard just now that he also has a way to remove the bullet fragments from the old man’s brain. He has become the old man’s lifeline.”

”Do you think I can touch him?” Hou Yaoxing continued coldly. ”If I lay a hand on him, not to mention the old man’s reaction, just my elder brother and third brother alone would never let me off the hook.”

”But... does that mean Jingwen and Xiao Kun’s deaths will never be avenged?”

Yang Xiufang’s face fell disheartened, her expression turning ashen.

”No matter what, even if it costs my entire Yang Family, I will have that kid dead!”

Yang Tiancheng slammed his fist down hard on the ground, his eyes shimmering with a chilling murderous intent.

”Tiancheng, don’t be impulsive. We will have our revenge, but not now. Wait until he has removed the bullet fragments from the old man’s brain, then we make our move,” Hou Yaoxing said with measured calm.

”Moreover, I’ve investigated him before. This kid’s strength is comparable to the Saint Realm, and he is protected by several masters of that realm. Killing him won’t be easy. We’ll have to plan carefully and ensure the old man does not notice, or it will be the end of us all,” he added, his eyes narrowing, a hint of fierce determination flitting through them.

At the Hou residence, Ye Luo followed Hou Yaoyang here and couldn’t help but marvel at the grandeur of this deeply rooted large family—it was indeed different.

Upon entering the Hou residence, with pavilions and towers, small bridges over flowing water, it was like stepping into an ancient imperial garden. Ye Luo also noticed that the Hou family was brimming with many masters—martial artists as well as a large group of armed soldiers.

His Clairvoyant Eye even detected several Hua Yuan Realm masters hidden within the secret chambers deep inside the Hou family’s estate.

The strength of this family was certainly not comparable to the five prominent families that were known in Capital City. The might of their forces aside, just a few of these Hua Yuan Realm masters would be enough to annihilate those five families with ease.

And this was just one of the four established families. One could only imagine the might of the remaining Cao Family, and the most mysterious Long and Ji Families.

”Mr. Ye, the Family Head is waiting for you in the backyard, please follow me,” Hou Yaoyang said with the utmost respect.

”Young Master, young master, stop drinking!”

”Leave me alone! Let me drink. A single bout of drunkenness can dispel a thousand woes. Once I’m drunk, I won’t think of anything anymore!”
