Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 622: Chapter 622 Royal Family Turmoil_1

And Ye Luo also sensed that Alice’s bloodline contained a potent energy as well; in any case, Alice was definitely not an ordinary person, but as for what this energy was, Ye Luo had yet to find out.

”Brother, what’s wrong with you?”

Alice looked at Ye Luo and couldn’t help but ask, to which he came back to his senses and said, ”Oh, it’s nothing.”

”Brother Ye, what should we do with Alice in the future? Why not let her stay here in the Royal Palace to keep me company?” Xue Na turned her gaze to Ye Luo.

”Hmm, that’s actually a good idea.” Ye Luo nodded in agreement.

”Brother, you saved me; you are Alice’s master now, and Alice will follow you from now on.” Alice suddenly looked at Ye Luo and said.

”This...” Ye Luo’s expression changed, not expecting Alice to say such a thing. Could it be that he was supposed to take Alice with him? He feared that would lead to quite the discussion among the women back home.

”Brother, please take me with you; I can do anything.” Alice said, holding onto Ye Luo’s hand.

”Alice, isn’t it good for you to stay here in the Royal Palace? Why do you want to follow me? Besides, I didn’t save you because I wanted you to do something for me. You shouldn’t feel burdened.” Ye Luo said, looking at Alice.

”Brother, I feel a sense of kinship and safety when I’m by your side.” Alice clutched Ye Luo’s hand tightly, without any trace of fear in her eyes.

Xue Na spoke up, ”Why not take Alice back to Huaxia, Brother Ye?”

”This...” Ye Luo was at a loss for words for the moment, finding it difficult to refuse.

Meanwhile, in an incredibly luxurious castle somewhere in Y Country, in a room that was richly decorated and extravagant, there sat a young man dressed in a black tailcoat, with silver hair and a face pale as snow, handsome and charming, seated on an antique sofa worth millions.

Slim fingers, akin to those of a woman, held a stemmed glass containing wine as red as blood, swaying with a rich aroma so intoxicating that it alone could attest to the wine’s preciousness.

All in all, everything exuded luxury and nobility, and the young man resembled a prince.

Just as the young man was leisurely enjoying it all, a man in a suit swiftly walked in, bowed deeply, and knelt before the young man, looking at him respectfully.

”Have the people been brought back?” The young man took a delicate sip from the glass and licked his lips seductively, a gesture that could drive countless women wild.

”Your Highness, I have failed in my duty. The person has been taken by Princess Xue Na,” the man in the suit said with a heavy tone.

”Xue Na!”

The young man’s eyes narrowed slightly as he spoke.

”Yes, Your Highness, worrying about unforeseen accidents, I did not make a move. By now, the person should be in the Royal Palace,” the man continued.

”You let someone fall into the hands of the Royal Family. Do you think that qualifies as a dereliction of duty?” the young man said flatly.

”Your subordinate has failed. Please, Your Highness, punish me,” the man quickly said, with his head lowered.

Swish!

The young man waved his hand, and a powerful suction force emerged; instantly, the man in the suit was pulled towards the young man.

Splurch!

The young man’s delicate fingers pierced directly into the chest of the man in the suit, blood spurting out.

Afterwards, the young man’s fingers were withdrawn from the man’s chest, holding a blood-red heart, in a scene of extreme cruelty.

The crimson orb began to shrink continuously, as if its energy was being absorbed by the young man. Meanwhile, the man in the suit lay on the ground with his eyes wide open.

If this scene were to be known, it would certainly scare many to death, yet the young man’s expression revealed a hint of enjoyment.

Soon, several men walked in and dragged the corpse away. Another middle-aged man approached the young man and said, ”Your Highness, everything is ready. We are just waiting for the message from the other side.”

”Good, tonight will be the time for our Blood Clan to shine again. With the support of the Royal Family, it will be much easier to deal with the church,” the young man’s eyes flashed with a sharp gleam.

A day flew by in the blink of an eye, and as night fell, Ye Luo, Xue Na, Queen Iliya, and Liya once again sat in the Royal Palace’s dining room for dinner.

”Mr. Ye, your return to Y Country has all been arranged, and you can go back to Huaxia tomorrow,” said Queen Iliya looking indifferently at Ye Luo.

”Thank you, Your Majesty,” said Ye Luo with gratitude.

”Sister, let’s all have a toast together,” Liya, picking up the wine jug, poured a cup for everyone and, lifting her glass, said.

”Good, let’s have a toast,” said Queen Iliya with a smile, raising her glass.

Ye Luo glanced at the wine glass in front of Queen Iliya, a peculiar look flickering in his eyes. He couldn’t help but glance at Liya, whose eyes twinkled when she saw Ye Luo’s gaze. Duo Lun, standing behind Queen Iliya, also narrowed his eyes, giving Ye Luo a glance.

”Wait a minute!”

Just as the Queen was about to drink her wine, Ye Luo suddenly spoke, causing Liya and Duo Lun’s expressions to slightly change.

”What’s the matter, Mr. Ye?” asked Queen Iliya, looking at Ye Luo with some surprise.

”I think it would be better for Miss Liya to drink this cup of wine for the Queen,” Ye Luo said calmly.

Liya’s face changed instantly, and looking at Ye Luo, she asked, ”Mr. Ye, what do you mean by that?”

”Nothing much, I just want to see if you dare to switch with the Queen and drink it,” Ye Luo said while a strange light passed through his eyes, fixed on Liya.

”Why exchange glasses? What are you doing?” Liya’s face turned cold as she spoke.

Queen Iliya narrowed her eyes slightly, looking at the wine glass in front of her, her gaze flickering.

”That’s what I should be asking you, Miss Liya. You’ve poisoned the Queen’s wine. What are you trying to do?” Ye Luo suddenly said.

Instantly, the expressions of everyone present changed drastically.

Queen Iliya’s pupils narrowed, Xue Na’s face was filled with shock, and Leon, the butler who stood by Queen Iliya, was also surprised, while Duo Lun and Liya’s faces turned extremely ugly.

”What nonsense are you talking about?” Liya stood up abruptly, pointing at Ye Luo.

”Am I talking nonsense? Then, Miss Liya, do you dare to drink this cup of wine?” Ye Luo picked up the wine glass from in front of the Queen and placed it in front of Liya.

”You...” Liya stared coldly at Ye Luo.

At this moment, Queen Iliya’s face grew solemn, and she looked at Liya with an authoritative poise, ”Liya, what is the meaning of this? What are you trying to do?”

But suddenly, a longsword was placed against Queen Iliya’s neck, and the one holding the sword was none other than the leader of the Royal Guard, Duo Lun, who was closest to the Queen.
