Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 471: Chapter 471 Heartache!_1

”But do you not know that Ye Luo is the fiancé of our CEO?” Chen Yaowen spoke, his eyes flashing with a hint of sinister light.

”What? The CEO’s fiancé? This...”

Li Wanqin’s parents both showed shocked expressions, their gazes shifting from Ling Qingya to Ye Luo.

”What is going on with Ye Luo? Weren’t you and our Wan Qin in a relationship? How did you become the CEO’s fiancé? Could it be that you are two-timing?” Li’s mother’s face darkened, and she couldn’t help but say.

”Vice Chief Ye, I never expected you to be involved in such a matter, truly unexpected indeed,” Chen Yaowen said mockingly.

”Disappear from my sight right now, or I will make you disappear from Earth,” Ye Luo said, his eyes sweeping over Chen Yaowen with a cold glare, causing the latter’s body to tremble.

”I...” Chen Yaowen was lost for words under Ye Luo’s icy stare.

”Heh heh,” Ling Qingya finally spoke, laughing twice, and said to Chen Yaowen, ”Let’s go, President Chen.”

After her words, Ling Qingya turned and walked out without looking back, with Chen Yaowen’s lips curling into a sly smile as he followed suit.

”Ye Luo, you better explain this quickly,” Li Wanqin urged Ye Luo with an anxious expression.

”Explain? First, you explain to us what exactly is going on,” Li’s mother demanded.

”Mom, don’t make things worse. I’m the other woman, now are you satisfied?” Li Wanqin said, her eyes brimming with tears.

”I’m sorry!” Ye Luo stood up, hugged Li Wanqin and apologized, kissed her forehead, and then turned to walk out.

Outside the restaurant, Ling Qingya and Chen Yaowen emerged, the latter bearing an apologetic expression and saying, ”President, I had no idea this would happen, my apologies. However, I never expected Vice Chief Ye and Manager Li to have so much going on between them.”

”Enough, President Chen, you should go back first,” Ling Qingya replied, her voice cold and solemn.

”Sure, take care President; if you need anything, just contact me at any time,” Chen Yaowen said before getting into a car and driving away.

At that moment, Ye Luo rushed out, approached Ling Qingya, and began, ”Qing Ya, I...”

”No need to say anything. It seems all my previous suspicions have been proved true. You really do have another woman on the side, who is not only my employee but also my good friend. Now you’ve even reached the point of discussing marriage, and here I am, knowing nothing about it, how ridiculous...”

Ling Qingya spoke with a cold voice, her face revealing a starkly sorrowful smile, her expression filled with grief, exuding a lonely aura at that moment.

”I’m sorry, I know no matter what I say now, I cannot undo the hurt I’ve caused you. It was an accident with Wan Qin, and at that time, you and I...”

”Don’t say any more. I know what you mean; when you two were together, I wasn’t with you yet. But back then in Capital City, do you remember how you spoke to me? You weren’t honest with me at that time; you both kept me in the dark like I was a fool. Perhaps if today’s events hadn’t happened, I might not even know on the day you two got your marriage certificate,” she said.

”I’m sorry!” Ye Luo said with a heavy voice, his eyes filled with regret.

”Slap!”

Ling Qingya delivered a slap to Ye Luo’s face, then turned, got into her car, and drove away.

”How did it go?”

Li Wanqin ran out, anxiously asking Ye Luo, her face changing at the sight of the slap mark on his face.

”Ye Luo, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, I shouldn’t have agreed to take you over to my parents’ place today, then none of this would have happened.”

Li Wanqin, full of regret, looked at Ye Luo with tears continuously falling from her eyes.

”It’s okay, don’t be sad, I’m fine. I’ll find a way to deal with Qing Ya.”

Ye Luo patted Li Wanqin on the shoulder.

Meanwhile, Ling Qingya, who drove off in her car, eventually pulled over to the side of the road after a bout of furious driving, slumped over the steering wheel, unable to hold back her tears any longer as she felt an overwhelming pain in her heart.

At that moment, after comforting Li Wanqin and suggesting she go home, Ye Luo aimlessly wandered the streets, his mind in total chaos. His heart was suddenly in turmoil, unsure of what to do.

Although he had always been worried about how Ling Qingya would react after learning about his issues, he didn’t expect that day to come so soon. Seeing the look of despair and pain in Qing Ya’s eyes, he too felt a twinge of pain in his heart.

Especially when Qing Ya’s slap landed on his face; it hurt him even more. Previously, he had no particular feelings for Ling Qingya.

But after their trip to Capital City, both had developed feelings for each other. Now that such an incident had occurred, he felt heartache, yet he didn’t know what to do, suppressing too much inside without a way to vent.

”Ye Luo, what are you doing here?”

Suddenly a car pulled up beside Ye Luo, and Situ Luoyun’s head popped out of the vehicle, looking at Ye Luo with surprise.

”What’s wrong with you? Why do you look so out of sorts?”

Ye Luo glanced at Situ Luoyun, got in the car, and said, ”Go to your place, keep me company with a drink.”

Situ Luoyun’s eyes sparkled as she watched Ye Luo, said nothing, and drove off.

Having brought Ye Luo to her villa, Situ Luoyun took out two bottles of alcohol and two glasses.

”What happened? Can you tell me about it?”

Situ Luoyun’s gaze fell on Ye Luo as she spoke softly.

”I don’t want to talk about it right now, just keep me company with a drink,” Ye Luo said as he opened a bottle of alcohol and gulped down more than half of it.

Situ Luoyun’s eyes flickered, and without a word, she started drinking from her own bottle.

In the blink of an eye, the two bottles of vodka were emptied by the pair; fortunately, Situ Luoyun enjoyed drinking and had a good stock of alcohol at home, otherwise, it would not have been enough for the two of them.

Ye Luo, setting aside all constraints and drinking bottle after bottle, coupled with the troubles weighing on his heart, quickly became drunk despite his tolerance. His consciousness blurred, his face flushed, he muttered under his breath, unclear what he was saying.

As for Situ Luoyun, only her fair face turned red, and she wasn’t as inebriated, but she still had a hint of allure that could stir desire. Unfortunately, Ye Luo wasn’t in the mood to appreciate it.

”Sigh...”

Seeing Ye Luo in this state, Situ Luoyun let out a soft sigh. This was the first time she had seen him like this. Clearly, he was troubled by a lot, and something must have happened, but she still had no idea what it was.

Then, Situ Luoyun took the bottle from Ye Luo’s hand, helped him up, and walked towards the upstairs bedroom, planning to let him sleep it off.
