Chapter 569: Chapter 225: The Peregrine Falcon Patrols the Mountain

”Seven days have passed. I wonder if there’s a new master here.”

Logically speaking, it should be impossible for demon beasts to settle a territory dispute within just seven days, unless this demon beast was overwhelmingly powerful and could crush all other beasts, otherwise a bloody battle would be inevitable.

While Xu Binghu was pondering, suddenly, a howl came from not far away.

Xu Binghu trembled upon hearing it, his eyes filled with fear.

”Impossible, this sound, this aura, is several times stronger than the previous Tiger Demon. How could such a demon beast come to this peripheral area?”

Xu Binghu’s mind was racing, contemplating the possibilities.

As he was thinking, ”Boom -- Boom -- Boom -- Boom --”

The ground shook incessantly as if an earthquake was occurring. The giant trees around him shook, and leaves began to fall.

”It’s coming in this direction? Could it be coming just for me?” Xu Binghu speculated, ”Impossible, when did I provoke such a powerful demon beast?”

He shook his head again, ”If it’s not because of me, then why did this Tiger Demon appear as soon as I entered this territory?”

Unable to figure it out, suddenly, a fierce pressure attacked from behind, so powerful that he couldn’t move.

”I’m done for, it’s over, this is really the end...”

Just when the tiger’s claw was about to crush Xu Binghu’s head, a white figure with a hint of golden stream descended from the sky. In the next moment, a pair of sharp claws stood between Xu Binghu’s back.

”Clang--”

A clear sound rang out. Xu Binghu heard it and turned his head to look.

He saw two pairs of claws in front of him, one attacking, the other defending.

”Peregrine Falcon!”

Xu Binghu exclaimed as he immediately retreated.

At the crucial moment, it was the Peregrine Falcon that he could rely on!

The Peregrine Falcon, seeing Xu Binghu escape safely, pushed its claws, forcing the Tiger Demon’s massive form to retreat.

”Boom--”

A giant tree shattered from the impact by the Tiger Demon, the fallen logs pressing down on the demon.

”To think, the Peregrine Falcon’s power is so overwhelming, even such a formidable Tiger Demon can’t withstand its attack!”

The Peregrine Falcon, known for its agility, pushed back the power-driven Tiger Demon, revealing the terrifying might of the falcon.

Now, Xu Binghu finally had a chance to look carefully at the Tiger Demon that attacked him, to see what it looked like.

He saw a massive Tiger Demon lying on the ground, about five meters tall, with smooth, shiny fur and a vivid ”King” character on its forehead.

”Huh?” Xu Binghu looked closely again at the ”King” character on the Tiger Demon’s forehead. The bottom stroke extended with small hooks on both sides.

”This ’King’ character looks so familiar.”

After thinking it through, Xu Binghu clapped his hands, ”I remember now, the Tiger Demon I killed seven days ago had a similar ’King’ character with small hooks on the bottom stroke.”

”Could it be, these two Tiger Demons are related as father and son?”

He brainstormed for a moment and nodded to himself, affirming his guess, ”It must be. If I hadn’t killed that Tiger Demon yesterday, I probably wouldn’t have encountered this one — it came for revenge!”

The Tiger Demon, fierce, mighty, with incredible speed, also had an extremely acute sense of smell.

This Tiger Demon found that its son was killed, its heart blood gone, flesh and skin missing, leaving only three scents in this area.

One scent was of its son, another of a raptor, and the other was Xu Binghu’s scent.

As Xu Binghu had just stepped into this area, the Tiger Demon detected the scent of his son’s murderer and immediately came to get revenge, leading to the scene just now.

In a moment, the Tiger Demon, trapped under the logs of the giant tree, freed itself and slowly stood up, with its eyes glaring red at the enemies of its son’s killer, Xu Binghu and the Peregrine Falcon, steadying its breath.

”Roar--”

In the next instant, the Tiger Demon disappeared from where it stood.

In a daze, Xu Binghu felt as if the world before him suddenly darkened. Then he snapped his head up, shouting, ”It’s above!”

He saw a Tiger Demon, like a tank, appearing above Xu Binghu, falling like Mount Tai.

Xu Binghu quickly dodged, rolling to the side.

”Rip--”

But unfortunately, he was still a step too slow, with his calf grazed by the tiger’s claw.

Xu Binghu gritted his teeth against the pain and limped away to a safer distance.

He knew that this Tiger Demon was not something he could contend with; one wrong move and he would be killed.

The only one able to pose a threat to the Tiger Demon was the Peregrine Falcon, so staying far away was his way of helping, preventing the falcon from being distracted.

The Peregrine Falcon saw this, let out a long cry of ”Screech--”, and with its claws in front, shot towards the Tiger Demon like an arrow.

The speed was such that only a long white streak of light could be seen.

”Boom--”

Immediately, the land where the Tiger Demon stood sank, sand and dust flew, and the surrounding giant trees fell due to the sinking ground.

After a while, the dust settled, revealing the Peregrine Falcon’s claws tightly embedded in the Tiger Demon’s skull, which was clearly crushed.

Blood oozed from the Tiger Demon’s seven orifices, its limbs sprawled on the ground, lifeless, dead beyond dead.

Witnessing this scene, Xu Binghu stood there dumbfounded, in a daze!
