Chapter 557: Chapter 219: You Have Been Empowered, Peregrine Falcon! (Part 2)

...

Xu Ran saw that everything was arranged, carrying a small pouch, and walked out.

In these five months, Xu Ran had already thoroughly familiarized himself with the environment of the Great Wilderness Border Village, knowing exactly where is suitable to plant the Seven-leafed One-flowered Plant.

Now, he is going to plant the Seven-leafed One-flowered Plant in all the suitable places to prevent poisonous snakes from entering the village.

The small pouch in his hand was filled with seeds of the Seven-leafed One-flowered Plant.

The sun was high, and in the blink of an eye, it was afternoon.

At this moment, Xu Ran was diligently sowing the Seven-leafed One-flowered Plant.

Suddenly, his heart trembled, and in the distance, a breath of Innate Qi appeared.

Xu Ran felt this strange sensation and was overjoyed, ”Could it be that the Peregrine Falcon has hatched?”

Thinking of this, he immediately put away the seeds and rushed back home.

Upon returning home, he could feel the breath of Innate Qi becoming stronger and stronger in the room.

Such a commotion, he could think of nothing other than the successful hatching of the Peregrine Falcon.

He opened the door and walked inside.

He saw that the cloth wrapping the Gyrfalcon Egg had been unfolded, and compared to the morning, the faint red had now become as vivid as flames, with cracks also appearing on the surface of the egg.

While Xu Ran was observing, a sound came from outside the door, and he turned around, and his hanging heart relaxed; it was Lian Ji.

”Xiao Ran, just now a villager saw you rushing home. What happened?” Lian Ji asked.

Xu Ran gestured to close the door to prevent anyone from seeing what was happening inside.

”The Peregrine Falcon is probably about to hatch.” Xu Ran answered.

”So soon?”

As they were speaking.

”Crack!”

The sound of the eggshell breaking was heard.

The Gyrfalcon Egg, which already had cracks, began to break, and soon, a cluster of white feathers appeared before their eyes; the Peregrine Falcon chick successfully hatched.

”Chirp!”

The Peregrine Falcon broke out of the shell and let out a clear chirp, crisp and powerful, unlike a newly hatched chick.

Xu Ran and Lian Ji watched the broken eggshell, and a white shadow shot out from it, extremely fast, and then, the white shadow landed on Xu Ran’s head.

The Peregrine Falcon, freshly hatched, already had feathers; the feathers were as white as clouds, even slightly tinged with blue, like a cloud with a touch of blue from the sky, looking very mystical.

Xu Ran reached up to touch it, feeling a soft sensation.

The Peregrine Falcon stood on Xu Ran’s head, its eyes black as orbs, its claws beneath like steel knives, majestic even as a newborn chick.

At the moment Xu Ran touched the Peregrine Falcon, it was as if their souls connected, with a strange feeling simultaneously appearing in their minds.

”Is it the Innate Qi that connects my soul with the Peregrine Falcon?” Xu Ran wondered in his heart.

From the start, Xu Ran used his own Innate Qi to nurture the Peregrine Falcon, which is why he could feel its impending hatching from the other side of the village, which is why the newborn Peregrine Falcon could stand unguardedly on his head and why their souls could connect.

The Peregrine Falcon seemingly felt this bond too, hopping on Xu Ran’s head, yet causing no damage with its steel knife-like claws.

Lian Ji looked at the Peregrine Falcon hopping on Xu Ran’s head and asked, ”It hatched this quickly?”

Unexpectedly, her husband had been saying just last night how difficult it was to hatch a Peregrine Falcon, that even he couldn’t manage it.

Yet, not even a day later, the Peregrine Falcon successfully hatched.

Is it really that simple?

”Mother, didn’t you see it yourself?” Xu Ran said.

Indeed, even Xu Ran thought that hatching a Peregrine Falcon wasn’t so easy, at least taking a month.

But Xu Ran still didn’t fully understand how vital Innate Qi was to creatures in the Origin Realm.

”No wonder it’s a child sent by a meteor, so full of luck.”

”I heard your father say, the Peregrine Falcon needs to eat meat, and a lot of it. I’ll go get the fawn caught yesterday now.”

With that, Lian Ji ran to the kitchen and brought the fawn’s leg in front of the Peregrine Falcon.

The Peregrine Falcon saw the meat and immediately came down from Xu Ran’s head, went to the leg, and took a bite, tearing off a piece of meat.

One bite, then another, and another...

Before long, a leg of meat that would last an adult two or three days was devoured.

”Looks like your father was right, this little guy has a big appetite.”

Though she said it, there wasn’t any hint of blame in Lian Ji’s voice.

As they spoke, the sound of a door opening was heard from outside, along with Xu Binghu’s voice, ”I’m back.”

Xu Ran and Lian Ji went out to look and found that Xu Binghu had brought back a fawn again today, just as he said he would this morning when he left.

”Wife, got another deer today.” The tone was full of pride.

Seeing Xu Ran and Lian Ji in the room, Xu Binghu was about to say something when he saw a white bird standing on Xu Ran’s head.

Suddenly, his eyes widened, putting the beast milk and deer meat on the ground, he ran inside, staring at the white bird, asking simultaneously.

”Xiao Ran, it hatched?”

Xu Ran nodded, ”As you see.”

Instantly, Xu Binghu staggered, and if not for the door frame, he might have fallen.

No!

This is too fast!

That Gyrfalcon Egg was just brought back yesterday, and it hatched by this afternoon? This speed?

Then his eyes continued examining the white bird before glancing at the eggshell on the table.

”Right, the scarlet egg纹, the flawless white feathers with a hint of blue, eyes like black orbs, a beak incredibly sharp, claws beneath like steel knives, all the features check out!”

Suddenly, Xu Binghu doubted if he had brought back a Peregrine Falcon, but on careful comparison, all the features were just as Old Qi described.

Lian Ji naturally knew what he meant and said, ”Husband, don’t forget, our Xiao Ran was a child delivered by a meteor, an extraordinary talent, what’s a Peregrine Falcon hatching in a day?”

Lian Ji’s tone was full of pride.

Realization dawned on Xu Binghu, patting his head, ”Yes, Xiao Ran is a genius, what’s strange about some peculiarities? Nothing!!!”

With that, he looked at the deer he just brought back, ”I heard Peregrine Falcons eat a lot, wondering if half a fawn would be enough for a day?”

”Dad, it just ate a deer leg moments ago.”

Xu Binghu patted his chest, ”No worries, no matter how much it eats, nothing to worry about, bringing back a fawn every day is no trouble, we can afford to feed the Peregrine Falcon.”

”This Peregrine Falcon is indeed as mystical as Old Qi said.”

”Xu Ran, you must take good care of it, it will surely be a great helper in the future.”

He advised, then with a trembling body, went off to bathe.

Xu Ran is very well aware of the Peregrine Falcon’s importance to him; it’s his secret tactic against poisonous snakes in four months, needless for Xu Binghu to remind, he won’t be careless.

Soon after, Xu Ran waved his small hand, the Peregrine Falcon saw and jumped onto it, and together, the man and bird played happily.

...

Time passed quickly.

Two months flew by.

During these two months, Xu Ran’s life was very dull but regular.

In the morning, he transferred the dawn aura into the Peregrine Falcon, and after breakfast, he took the Peregrine Falcon to patrol the planting of the Seven-leafed One-flowered Plant in the village. Of course, the Peregrine Falcon stayed hidden; no one discovered it.

During the daytime, Xu Ran carefully tended to his Seven-leafed One-flowered Plants, now showing initial success, as they have surrounded the Great Wilderness Border Village.

In the evening, he would pass his internal lunar essence to the Peregrine Falcon again.

Thus, over these two months, the Peregrine Falcon grew from a chick the size of a ring to one now over thirty centimeters long, already considered a sub-adult according to raptor classifications.

At this rate, it will not be long before the Peregrine Falcon is fully grown.

Its appetite grew from just a leg of meat when it first hatched to two legs, to four legs, to half a fawn, and now the Peregrine Falcon eats an entire fawn daily, with a greatly increased appetite.

However, this was also the reason for the Peregrine Falcon’s rapid growth.

Only, it was hard on Xu Binghu, who had to bring back a prey the size of a fawn every day, or it would not be enough for the Peregrine Falcon.

On this day.

After passing the dawn aura to the Peregrine Falcon, Xu Ran began flying practice.

That’s right, flying practice.
