The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 960: Chapter 371: My Sister Was Reborn (Part 15)

Actually, how many things are different from the previous life, beyond just He Tiantian’s college entrance exam?

Just after He Tiantian finished her exam, the art forum exploded with news—

The Spanish painter Arthur won this year’s Silver Lion Award with his surrealistic paintings!

Arthur became an overnight sensation.

And the price of his works skyrocketed like a rocket.

While waiting for her exam results, He Tiantian continued painting.

In her spare time, thinking about the artwork she ”picked up”, she checked online.

And sure enough, she saw this news.

She’s hit the jackpot, really!

He Tiantian smiled broadly; she felt like her heart was soaring.

Although the He Family is not short of money, her real mother and father often say: ”The family’s two buildings and two storefronts, you two sisters get half each!”

He Tianxin is doing well, she’s just attending college and preparing for graduate school as usual.

But He Tiantian chose painting, a money-burning major, with very high daily expenses.

She can’t yet be considered to be sponging off her parents, and He Tiantian never felt ashamed.

But, if she could be self-reliant, and even help her parents in return, she’d be delighted.

Taking out her phone, she found Boss Feng’s number at the gallery and dialed directly.

”... What? You said you have Arthur’s oil painting?”

Teacher Feng, after hearing what He Tiantian said, couldn’t believe it and asked, ”Is it the Arthur from the Biennale?”

”That’s right, it’s him!”

He Tiantian said with a smile, ”Come to think of it, Teacher Feng, I should really thank you for this!”

He Tiantian talked about attending an art exhibition in Shanghai earlier this year.

The ticket to this art exhibition was given by Teacher Feng.

And it was at the exhibition that He Tiantian saw Arthur’s painting.

In a way, He Tiantian indeed should thank him.

”Wait, let me get this straight—”

Teacher Feng still found it quite dramatic.

How could it be so coincidental?

Or perhaps, He Tiantian’s luck was just off the charts?

A painter who had been unknown in the past, suddenly gained fame by participating in the Venice art exhibition and winning an award, which got him reported in several well-known art magazines, leading to rapid fame.

The art market reacts quickly, galleries and brokers in Europe and the USA began searching for Arthur’s works everywhere.

”Hold on, Tiantian, you said the one you have is an oil painting? Not a sketch or a watercolor?”

Teacher Feng’s mind raced and suddenly recalled something, so he quickly asked.

”It’s an oil painting, 81*65 cm. And I think this piece should be where Arthur turned towards a hyper-realistic style!”

He Tiantian spoke softly, her voice was not loud, but very certain.

Teacher Feng:...

He really didn’t know what to say.

Arthur received the Silver Lion Award at the Venice Biennale; he became an instant hit. Critics might be critical, but collectors and investors absolutely praise.

The value of his works would soar.

But, even amongst Arthur’s works, even though they appreciate, there’s a difference in their value!

Oil paintings are certainly more valuable than sketches, quick sketches, or watercolors.

And those pieces with special significance or at critical moments are most valuable.

Arthur’s award-winning work was surrealistic, so the price of works from this period is the highest.

Besides peak period or representative works, paintings made at the pivotal moment when Arthur was forming his surrealistic style are not priced low either.

The work He Tiantian has in her hands turned out to be such a ”representative piece”!

Teacher Feng could hardly imagine what price such a piece could fetch at auction.

Additionally, as an insider, Teacher Feng is very familiar with the trend in domestic galleries.

To his knowledge, domestically, there seems to be no Arthur oil paintings, let alone significant representative works!

”Tiantian, your luck—”

Teacher Feng was quite envious and jealous.

However, he is ultimately a gallery owner, with worldly experience.

Though amazed, he wouldn’t completely lose his composure.

”Haha, when I was at the art exhibition, I just thought it was pretty good, mainly because the price wasn’t expensive, only one thousand euros!”

He Tiantian wasn’t trying to brag, but it’s clear, her luck was great.

If excessively humble, it would seem fake!

Teacher Feng:... Indeed, he felt a bit bragged to.

One thousand euros, equivalent to just over ten thousand RMB.
