The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 957: Chapter 370: My Sister Was Reborn (Part 14)

On a 100*81 canvas, there are two young faces, dressed in a suit and wedding dress.

They are in their twenties, their expressions naive, filled with the unique passion and enthusiasm of the 1980s.

However, the two depicted on the canvas are not in the standard wedding photo pose, but as if captured candidly just before a photo was taken in an old 1980s photo studio.

He Guotai is wearing a black suit, a white shirt, with a red rose pin in the right pocket of his suit.

Tian Shumin is in a white wedding dress, with a lace-embellished veil on her head, and her hairstyle is a quintessentially 80s bride look.

Her hair is permed in curls, a string of brightly colored flowers is tucked in the raised veil, abundantly sprayed with mousse to hold bangs and chignon, viewed from a modern perspective, it exudes a full retro vibe.

This is the moment before the formal photo, when Tian Shumin is helping He Guotai adjust the rose in his pocket.

She is slightly bowing her head, with a subtle smile on her lips, a blend of shyness, sweetness, and happiness.

He Guotai stands upright, his hands hanging somewhat awkwardly by his sides, eyes cast down, brimming with tenderness and joy.

Noticing perhaps that his wife’s hair isn’t perfect, he quietly raises his right hand, trying to help her adjust it.

At this moment, the photographer outside the painting directly in front of them seemingly found the scene beautiful and wanted to capture a full-face shot of them.

Thus, the photographer seemingly called out, and the couple simultaneously turned their heads.

The moment was frozen!

The couple still retained the gesture of tidying each other’s appearance, but their faces were turned directly ahead.

Their full faces were fully exposed, and their expressions were perfectly ”captured”: shy and sweet, happy and joyful, mixed with a bit of surprise.

Clearly, it’s just a painting, yet it’s incredibly vivid, evoking endless imagination.

He Guotai and Tian Shumin were both mesmerized.

He Guotai couldn’t help but pull his wife into his arms, while Tian Shumin involuntarily wrapped her arms around her husband’s waist.

The couple stood embracing, gazing deeply at the ”wedding photo.”

Looking at their familiar yet unfamiliar youthful faces, their minds involuntarily reminisced about the beautiful moments during their courtship and wedding.

In a blink, more than twenty years had passed, and they were no longer young.

But the past sweetness and happiness were deeply buried in their hearts.

Upon seeing the wedding photo created by their daughter, all their beautiful memories were ignited.

In fact, not to mention the two ”parties involved,” even He Tianxin, the bystander, couldn’t help but show an expression of surprise when she saw the wedding photo.

Realizing young mom and dad, dressed in suits and wedding dresses, were so handsome and beautiful.

Realizing that in her impression, the middle-aged couple who were always the old married type also had such shy and sweet moments!

”...it’s really well-painted!”

He Tianxin sighed softly.

This wasn’t just family flattery, but a genuine comment.

If you only looked at this oil painting, who would think it was created by a girl who was not yet eighteen and had formally learned painting for less than half a year?

The characters in the painting are lifelike, with each gaze full of rich emotion.

Although it’s a solemn wedding photo, the use of color is bold, the black suit and white wedding dress, with one bright red rose, stands out so vividly.

... He Tianxin doesn’t understand art, nor does she understand painting, at least she can’t make sense of many of the currently popular pieces.

Her sister’s work, the technical aspects, she doesn’t understand at all.

But, she can comprehend.

On the canvas, there are no exaggerated scenes, no distorted figures, and no bizarre color schemes.

It’s simply a character portrait that people like and that inspires imagination.

With photo-realistic realism, yet more artistic and romantic than a photograph.

”...” He Tianxin couldn’t think of more words to describe it and finally reduced it to a single word—good!

”Yes! Yes, yes! Our Tiantian’s painting is really good!”

”Oh dear, Tiantian’s painting, really wasn’t in vain!”

He Guotai and Tian Shumin both came back to their senses, each praising enthusiastically.

The couple was genuinely happy.

Besides their daughter fulfilling a dream for them through painting, they also realized: their child could completely make a living from painting in the future.

They, as ordinary people, thought their daughter’s painting was good, and were willing to pay for such works.

Those who specialize in art, wouldn’t they understand even more?

Even if she couldn’t become a painter, if He Tiantian painted portraits for people or started classes as a teacher, that would work too!
