Help! Five Beast Alphas Want To Breed Me!!(BL)

Koda;

I step into the massive council hall, and as the door shuts behind me, I stare at my father, who is pacing about the empty hall.

He has been in here since the break of dawn...at least that’s what the guards said when I demanded to know where he was.

The air in here is thick with silence and worry. He’s worried about Mother. I know that. But I also know something else. There’s something he isn’t saying. Something he isn’t addressing.

Although he knows I entered the hall, he doesn’t look at me. He just keeps walking back and forth, with his hands clasped tightly behind his back, and his jaw clamped shut. Like if he stops moving, everything he’s trying not to face will crush him.

Good.

He should feel it. The crushing weight of the aftermath of this, because I know he has something to do with what happened.

”Father.” I finally break the silence as I step forward, and he freezes for a fraction of a second...just long enough for me to catch the guilt flickering in his eyes as he looks up at me... but then he starts pacing again.

”I am not in the mood, Koda,” he mutters, and I raise a brow.

NOT IN THE MOOD!?

”Well, I am,” I snap, and he pauses. His steps falter as he slowly turns to me.

”This is not the time...” He begins, but I cut him off.

”It is exactly the time,” I speak with voice rising before I can stop myself.

My chest is tight... my heart is pounding in my ears. I’m angry. At him, at everything, and I just might lose my mind if I don’t talk this out as soon as possible!

”Because we don’t have anything left, Father. Gravemaw is in ruins. Mother is broken. Elián is gone. And you...” I begin as I close the gap between us and jab a finger at him,

”... You knew this was coming,” I state, and his eyes narrow as he pushes my hand away.

”Mind your tone...” He begins, but I’m in no mood to be polite.

”No!” The shout, and without my consent, tears fall from my eyes.

Seeing Mother the way I saw her broke something in me. Something I don’t even know could be broken. No, this is beyond heartbreak.

It’s a pain I cannot explain.

Seeing your mother cry. Holding her while she wails like a baby and knowing there is nothing you can do to help her.

It’s pain. Crushing, suffocating, consuming pain.

I have never felt so hopeless and helpless. I want more than anything to fix everything, but I don’t know how.

I’m battling all this, and he is asking me to kind my tone??

”I will not mind my tone, Father! Not when everything has gone to hell because of you!” I scream, and father’s blue eyes stare at me in utter silence.

His jaw clenches as he looks away from me, and then he speaks.

”You speak without understanding...”

”I understand plenty.” I cut him off as I step closer, with fury trembling through me. ”L

”You are the man who is always ten steps ahead. You see everything, you know everything, you plan for every possible outcome before it ever happens. There is nothing...NOTHING...that happens in this BeastHeaven without you knowing about it.” Continue, and his eyes flicker. Good.

He should know that the fact that I have been silent all these years doesn’t mean I have no idea what type of man he is.

”Tell me, Father”, I whisper with my emotions choking me.

”Tell me why you allowed this. Tell me why you let those witches and warlocks destroy our home. Why you let them touch my wedding. Why you let hurt my family... Why you let them push Elián away from me?” I demand, and he swallows but remains silent.

”Tell me, Father! Why did you stand there, knowing...KNOWING... all this could happen... and still did nothing!?” I scream, and he inhales deeply.

”I didn’t want to ruin your happiness.” He replies in a low tone, and I pause.

I take a step back, dumbfounded by what he just said, and then I laugh. I actually laugh.

The sound cracks in the air like something broken, because that is what it is.

Laughter in place of me screaming or hitting him.

”My happiness,” I repeat, shaking my head as I try to make sense of it.

”My happiness?” I question this time, and he says nothing.

”Look at everything now. Look at all the destruction. Look at Mother, who has lost her beast. Look at Gravemaw... reduced to ashes. Look at Elián, hiding in another kingdom because he is possibly in danger. And you stand here telling me you didn’t want to ruin my happiness?” I demand, and my voice breaks at how many emotions riot inside me.

”Do I look happy to you?” I demand, and still, he says nothing.

Of course. Always too big to waste his words..

I swallow, as my throat burns with tears I’m fighting to hold back.

”Why did they attack us, Father? Why did they come for us? What did we do that could possibly justify this?” I finally ask the question that brought me here in the first place, and his eyes drop.

He turns away from me, but I see it... the hesitation, the fear, the guilt crawling under his skin.

”Don’t turn away from me,” I growl.

”Not now. Not at a time like this!!” I push, and he sighs.

”Koda...”

”No more excuses. No more silence, Father. TALK!! Tell me everything. ALL of it. Why did they come for us!?” I push, and he stiffens.

”Because if you do not open up now,” I say slowly, as I watch him.

”If you do not tell me what I want to know, I swear by the Goddess herself, I will not forgive you. Not for this. Not ever.” I conclude, and that finally hits him as he stares at me with stunned, wide eyes.
