My Silly, Sweet Wife

A voluptuous woman appeared in front of Wu Fang.

The woman was named Qi Nuan, also a model from Haotian Model Company. She seemed to have just come back from a rehearsal and was only wearing a swimsuit. Although her figure wasn’t as good as Mi Lan’s, she could still score a seven or eight.

As she approached Wu Fang, she deliberately leaned in closer, her face full of resentment, and said, ”Senior Brother Wu, what’s so good about her that makes you think of her all the time? Hehe, if you have time tonight, I can help you alleviate your worries. Why dwell on unhappy things?”

Wu Fang glared at the woman in front of him and lowered his voice, ”Qi Nuan, it’s best if you don’t talk about our affair in the company. If Mi Lan finds out, see how I’ll deal with you.”

Already feeling somewhat depressed, Wu Fang had no mind to flirt with this model named Qi Nuan. After saying this, he left.

Qi Nuan watched Wu Fang’s departing figure, her face full of jealousy. She glared fiercely at Mi Lan’s office, then turned and walked into an adjacent office with five characters on the door: Jiang Yan, Agent.

She raised her hand and knocked.

A woman’s voice came from inside, ”Come in.”

Qi Nuan pushed the door open and entered.

In the office sat two people, one of them a woman who was not yet forty.

The woman had short hair, wore a small suit, and looked tidy and efficient.

On the sofa opposite the woman, sat a greasy, plump man in his twenties.

The plump man had his legs crossed and was savoring tea. When Qi Nuan came in, he instinctively looked towards the door.

Seeing that it was Qi Nuan, the plump man quickly put down his teacup, ”Yo, isn’t this Nuannuan?”

Qi Nuan hadn’t expected this fatty to be here. A flash of disgust crossed her eyes, but she quickly forced a smile, ”Oh, so Young Master Yu is here too. Sister Yan, if you have business, I’ll leave first.”

After saying that, she turned and was about to leave.

Unexpectedly, the plump man was very quick, as if he had a spring under his seat, he quickly stood up and grabbed Qi Nuan’s hand, ”Nuannuan, look, since you’re here, stay and keep your brother company.”

”Young Master Yu, you...”

”It’s fine, it’s fine, haha, come, sit with us.” The plump man pulled Qi Nuan back onto the sofa, his fat hand restlessly moving up and down her leg.

Although Qi Nuan felt sick inside, she dared not offend this plump man in front of her, and had to keep a smile on her face.

Jiang Yan acted as if she didn’t see anything, keeping a professional smile on her face. She glanced at Qi Nuan, hesitated briefly, and said, ”Young Master Yu, I know you value Mi Lan very much, but you know Mi Lan is quite stubborn. How about I find someone else to accompany you for tonight’s banquet?”

As she spoke, Jiang Yan pointed to Qi Nuan, ”What do you think of Qi Nuan? She can drink very well. She used to go out drinking with you often and always pleased your friends. Right?”

Upon hearing this, the plump man’s face darkened, ”Sister Yan, the past is the past. This time is different. Qi Nuan can go, but Mi Lan must go too.”

Saying this, he pulled Qi Nuan into his arms, ”Haha, the friend I’m meeting tonight is an important figure from Qingzhou. Sister Yan, don’t you think you should give me this bit of face?”

Jiang Yan looked embarrassed.

She couldn’t afford to offend Young Master Yu, but she knew Mi Lan’s character very well too.

Other models were easier to deal with. If a friend requested company for a banquet, she just had to issue an order. But Mi Lan never paid her any mind.

If not for Mi Lan’s high popularity, making her the company’s top model, Jiang Yan would have already fallen out with her.

However, sitting on the plump man’s lap, Qi Nuan sensed something and deliberately said in a sinister tone, ”Young Master Yu, Mi Lan is the company’s star. She has high hopes. Even if you had eight sedan chairs, you probably couldn’t lift her.”

”Damn, wants me to carry her with eight sedan chairs?” The plump man was instantly enraged, ”Does she even know who I am? This company is run by my elder sister. What makes Mi Lan so high and mighty? Jiang Yan, I’m done arguing with you. If you can’t get her to agree, I’ll go talk to her myself!”

He pushed Qi Nuan aside and stormed out of the office.

”Young Master Yu, talk it over nicely, don’t be impulsive.” Jiang Yan didn’t chase after him but sat still, her eyes flickering, a smile curling up her lips.

After the plump man left, Qi Nuan quickly picked up the teapot on the table and poured water into Jiang Yan’s mug, speaking in a fawning tone, ”Sister Yan, you are our big sister, and our top agent. Isn’t Mi Lan too unrestrained? She doesn’t even listen to you.”

Jiang Yan looked up at Qi Nuan without speaking.

Qi Nuan hesitated briefly and then asked, ”By the way, Sister Yan, Young Master Yu mentioned an important guest from Qingzhou tonight. Who is it?”

Jiang Yan drank the tea and her face was cloudy. She sneered, ”Qi Nuan, I know your thoughts. The person seems to be a figure who can stand equal with Boss Zhou. You can go tonight too. If you could catch the person’s eye, you could consider yourself successful. As for Mi Lan...”

After pausing, Jiang Yan continued, ”Mi Lan thinks she’s pretty and has already stopped taking me seriously. Hehe, not just you, even many in the company don’t like her now. I heard we have a new boss, and I plan to use this opportunity to change who’s at the top.”

”Really?” Upon hearing this, Qi Nuan’s eyes lit up. Someone who can stand equal with Zhou Weijun, she had to look up to such a figure.

Moreover, Qi Nuan understood Jiang Yan’s words. It seemed she was fed up with Mi Lan’s disobedience and wanted to replace her with someone more compliant.

Quickly, she poured Jiang Yan another cup of water, ”Sister Yan, do you think I’m suitable?”

Jiang Yan smiled, ”Qi Nuan, as long as you are obedient and perform well, there’s a chance.”

Qi Nuan was overjoyed, ”Thank you, Sister Yan. Don’t worry, if I can become the top model of this company, I’ll follow your every command.”

”Alright, let me go check. Don’t let things really escalate.” Jiang Yan stood up and walked towards Mi Lan’s office, but as she reached the door, she heard the plump man cursing inside, ”Damn, Mi Lan, you really think you’re something! You’re just a piece of meat for sale, yet you’re putting on airs with me? Damn it, I’m telling you, if you don’t agree to go out for dinner with me tonight, you’ll regret it.”

Mi Lan’s voice choked, ”Young Master Yu, I really have something to do tonight.”

”Damn it, postpone everything for me. I’ll come to pick you up at five in the afternoon. If you run off secretly, you’ll bear the consequences!”

BANG!

The plump man stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind him. As he looked up, he saw Jiang Yan and Qi Nuan. In a cold voice, he said, ”Jiang Yan, keep an eye on her. If Mi Lan really runs away, I’ll hold you accountable.”
