My Silly, Sweet Wife

A French waitress walked over.

Big eyes, a high nose bridge, silver wavy long hair, and an especially prominent bust that seemed almost ready to burst out despite the uniform. One had to admit, this waitress was very pretty and had an enduring appeal.

”Lanlan, I once performed in France for a while and learned some French.” Trying to impress Mi Lan, Wu Fang lightly nodded at the waitress and greeted her in French, ”Hello.”

The waitress politely nodded back and responded in French, then smiled and asked in French, ”Sir, what would you like to order?”

Ye Guichen expected Wu Fang to continue ordering in French, but to everyone’s surprise, he switched back to Chinese to order two dishes, then handed the menu to Mi Lan. ”Lanlan, decide what you’d like to eat.”

Mi Lan hesitated for a moment, then handed the menu to Ye Guichen. ”Achen, you know what I like. You order for me.”

This unexpected display of affection almost set Wu Fang off again.

”Hey, this is a French restaurant. By the look of it, you’ve eaten French food before, but do you know how to order it?” Wu Fang mocked, gritting his teeth as he looked at Ye Guichen.

Ye Guichen ignored Wu Fang and smiled at the waitress before saying in fluent French, ”Dear lady, you look like the moon in the sky. Seeing you for the first time is like being bathed in moonlight.”

The waitress’s eyes brightened immediately, her cheeks flushing. She replied joyfully, ”Esteemed sir, your French is impeccable, much better than that gentleman’s. Have you also been to France?”

Ye Guichen nodded slightly, ”Indeed, I have been there and even stayed in the town of Chenonceau for a while. It’s truly beautiful, like a fairy tale kingdom.”

The waitress covered her mouth in surprise, ”Esteemed sir, what a coincidence! I am from Chenonceau.”

Blushing, the waitress shyly asked, ”Esteemed sir, could you leave your contact information? Perhaps we could chat more deeply someday?”

It was obvious she wanted to take things further with Ye Guichen.

They say French people are romantic; they never hide their affections and express them directly.

Ye Guichen smiled kindly, ”Sure, it’d be my pleasure.”

He then gave her his phone number.

The waitress quickly noted it down gleefully.

This scene left Mi Lan and Wu Fang stunned.

Wu Fang couldn’t believe that Ye Guichen understood French and now seemed to be flirting with the French beauty right in front of Mi Lan.

Chasing two rabbits, you really have no shame!

”Are you going to order or not?” Wu Fang urged impatiently.

Ye Guichen closed the menu and said in French, ”Beautiful lady, just bring out the most expensive and best dishes you have. This idiot is treating today, so don’t hold back.”

As he spoke, he glanced at Wu Fang.

”Alright, romantic handsome man,” the waitress giggled, her tone becoming more flirtatious as she shot Wu Fang a meaningful look before walking away.

”What did you say to her just now?” Wu Fang immediately asked Ye Guichen, noticing the strange look the waitress gave him.

Ye Guichen shrugged, ”Nothing much, I just told her you’re rich and you’re treating today.”

”Really?”

”Haha, don’t you understand French? Didn’t you hear?”

Wu Fang was dumbstruck, left speechless.

Mi Lan’s eyes twinkled as she looked at Ye Guichen, ”You understand French?”

”Just a bit, enough to get by,” Ye Guichen chuckled.

Not just French, he was fluent in eighteen languages worldwide. French was nothing.

Mi Lan seemed deep in thought.

She had always opposed Chen Ziran being with Ye Guichen, thinking he was unworthy of Chen Ziran.

But now, this country bumpkin not only fought well but also spoke perfect French and was a master at flirting with women.

The dishes were quickly served.

Wu Fang’s face turned pale looking at the full table. It was overflowing with expensive dishes.

”Aren’t you afraid of overeating?” Wu Fang managed to whisper through clenched teeth as Mi Lan went to the restroom.

Ye Guichen didn’t hold back, using both hands to eat. ”Haha, since someone’s treat today, I’ll eat till I’m full without wasting anything.”

An hour later, the meal was finished.

Ye Guichen took Mi Lan’s hand, ”Lanlan, did you enjoy the meal?”

Mi Lan blushed and nodded, ”Yes, I did.”

”Great, let’s go shopping then,” Ye Guichen said, standing up, and suddenly asked Wu Fang, ”Do you want to join us and treat us to some shopping as well?”

Wu Fang stumbled, almost picking up a knife to stab Ye Guichen.

The meal cost thirty thousand yuan, and now you want me to treat you to shopping?

”Haha, Lanlan, I have some things to do today. Let’s meet some other time,” Wu Fang said awkwardly, his eyes filled with resentment.

Ye Guichen remarked, ”What a pity, I thought you were rich and could treat us to shopping and buy Lanlan some luxury items.”

Wu Fang was almost spitting blood.

Dammit, how shameless can you be? The meal was on me, and now you even want me to pay for shopping?

Leaving the restaurant and walking a bit, Mi Lan couldn’t hold back her laughter any longer.

Ye Guichen scoffed, ”For dealing with such people, I have plenty of tricks. If he dares to shop with us, I’d make him spend till he’s broke.”

Mi Lan suddenly stopped, staring at Ye Guichen, ”You’re different.”

”Huh?” Ye Guichen froze, not sure what Mi Lan was up to.

Mi Lan gazed at Ye Guichen with interest, lightly biting her lip, then leaned close to his ear and whispered, ”Ye Guichen, don’t think you’re amazing just because you speak French. I understood it all when you flirted with the waitress and even gave her your contact. I’ll tell Ranran.”

Ye Guichen was stunned.

This woman was dangerous.

”Ahem, I only did it to show off in front of Wu Fang,” Ye Guichen chuckled awkwardly.

Mi Lan giggled, walking ahead and waving back at Ye Guichen, ”Next time I’ll still invite you out. You’re quite an adequate fake boyfriend. If you please me, I might not tell Ranran about you flirting with the waitress.”

Watching Mi Lan’s proud figure retreat, Ye Guichen’s mouth twitched.

This woman was extorting him.

Just then, his phone rang.

Ye Guichen answered, seeing it was Zhao Erdan calling.

”What’s up?”

From the other end came Zhao Erdan’s heavy breathing, ”Boss, you’d better come back. We were badly beaten.”
