After I Died, the Scumbag Went Mad

Chapter 256: Chapter 255: Sebastian Lancaster, What Are You Doing

”Cece, that was my old plan, a plan for when you had forgotten me and no longer loved me,” Asher whispered, holding my face in his hands. ”But now, you’ve come back to me. I’ve already changed my plan. Look... I sold all my shares in the Lancaster Group. Originally, I wanted to take over the Lancaster Family, use the Lancaster Group to gain a foothold in the world of high finance, and then... carry out my plan.”

Seeing me cry, Asher frantically continued his explanation. ”Cece, look, you’ve completely disrupted all my plans. From the moment you were reborn and woke up in my bed, my plans were thrown into chaos. Really...”

”How could I bear to leave you all alone?” Asher’s voice was choked and panicked as he held my face. ”Cece, don’t be afraid. I will never leave you.”

I looked at him dubiously. ”Really?”

Asher raised his fingers to swear an oath, but his eyes held a sadness I couldn’t comprehend. ”I swear, Asher will never leave Cecilia Caldwell. Never...”

”But what if I’m not Cecilia Caldwell?” I asked fearfully.

’What if I’m really just a clone with implanted memories, just like Erin Whittaker said?’

”You are, Cece. You are,” Asher said, caressing my face. ”Never let anyone influence you. Your faith has to come from within.”

My eyes red-rimmed, I looked at Asher. ”Then tell me, what was your original plan, really?”

”Cece... the organization has a director in every country and region. And you... you were that director’s creation and most precious test subject,” Asher whispered. ”My original plan was to use the Lancaster Group to get into the heart of the financial world, find the people behind the organization, replace the director, disprove everything the ’God Creation Plan’ stood for, destroy all the experimental data, and make ’Cecilia Caldwell,’ Silvia Lynch, and the other test subjects disappear completely. So that from then on, you could be truly free.”

’He wanted to throw himself into the fire, to become the wicked hand pulling the strings, all to save the one he loved.’

’He who slays the dragon becomes the dragon...’

’He would become the source of the evil, just to cut it off at its root.’

’One can only imagine how difficult that would be.’

’To become that evil, he would surely be forced to do many evil things, to stain his hands with blood.’

’But my Asher... he was born so full of light. How could he ever tolerate becoming that evil?’

’In the end, he would take all that evil down with him, destroying it and... completely erasing himself in the process.’

’So that was his original, complete plan.’

’That’s why he always said it would be better if I forgot him... better...’

’As long as I was okay.’

’My Asher, from the very beginning, had never left himself a way out alive.’

’He paved so many paths for me, and every single one was built upon his own grave.’

”Sebastian Lancaster... don’t lie to me. You’ve given up on your plan, haven’t you? You’ve given up on that suicide mission. You’re going to be with me, you’re going to stay with me, you’re going to be with me forever... Tell me you’ve given up... Don’t lie to me.” I frantically grabbed his clothes, begging him to tell me he’d given up.

I shook my head, crying, pleading with him not to lie.

’Lynn was so scared because she was afraid that if I stayed with Asher, he would die.’

’Lynn wanted Julian Fletcher to protect me. She wanted Asher to give up his plan, to live.’

”Asher... won’t lie to Cece.” Asher held me tight, refusing to let go no matter how much I struggled.

”Don’t lie to me... Sebastian Lancaster, if you dare do that, I’ll die with you.” My voice was firm. He knew I wasn’t joking.

”I won’t lie to you...”

I looked up at him, trying to read his eyes.

’His eyes never lied.’

But he lowered his head and kissed me, his feverish lips throwing my thoughts into disarray.

”Asher...” I tried to push him away. I wanted him to answer my question directly, but he was playing dirty...

”Cece... Julian Fletcher touched you. You’re dirty.” Asher deliberately changed the subject, pulling me under the shower he’d just turned on.

Warm water instantly drenched me from head to toe. I was about to explode in anger, but he cradled my head and kissed me again.

’He’s such a fast learner, especially when it comes to intimacy.’

’Before, when I was pregnant, he was always holding back. But now, he’s like a caged beast that’s finally been set free...’

”You... Sebastian Lancaster! Let go... Mmph...”

He seemed to be venting, but it also felt like he was deliberately trying to make me forget our earlier conversation.

He stirred me up until my breath came in hot gasps and the corners of my eyes turned red.

He deftly stripped my clothes off. The hot water droplets on my skin were a stark contrast to his cold fingers.

In that moment, his touch sent my mind completely blank.

’This bastard... he must have watched a ton of sex-ed videos.’

”Sebastian Lancaster... you bastard...” I gasped for air. The heat and the water from the shower were making it hard to breathe, and yet he insisted on kissing me with such frenzy.

’Is he trying to suffocate me?’

The moment I caught my breath, ready to curse him out, he kissed me again. It was just...

’Who taught him to kiss so domineeringly? It’s so chaotic... no rhyme or reason.’

’His fingers were wandering, too.’

”Sebastian Lancaster...” I was about to cry from how he was tormenting me. I had no mental capacity to think about anything else.

He kissed the corners of my eyes, pinning me against the wall...

...

The sound of the running water in the bathroom was loud, covering my gasps and whimpers. That bastard... I don’t know where he learned all these tricks. He wore me out until midnight last night, and now he was starting all over again.

My legs were trembling, and my whole body shivered as my skin was pressed against the cold tiles.

”Sebastian Lancaster... you bastard...”

Asher was behind me, nipping and kissing me gently as if to soothe me, but the force of his movements below didn’t lessen one bit.

”Mm...” His voice was hoarse, as if in response to me calling him a bastard.

”Are you ever going to finish...”

”Mm,” he said again. It was like he had to respond to everything I said, and it was infuriating.

”Sebastian Lancaster!” I tried to push him away, but I had no strength at all.

He grabbed my wrists and pulled me into a kiss from behind.

I felt traitorous tears welling up, probably out of anger.

”I never thought... you would come back to me... How could I have dared to hope...”

His voice was hoarse, as if he wanted to sink into oblivion with me.

”How could I have dared...”

I must have gone crazy too, because I returned his kiss, biting down on his lip until the taste of blood filled my mouth.

’Then let’s sink into oblivion together.’

’Sebastian Lancaster, don’t even think about leaving me behind.’

The temperature in the bathroom kept rising, and the mirror was completely fogged over.

The old Patience Lancaster, who was always holding back, wasn’t being patient anymore.

”Sebastian Lancaster, my leg is cramping! You asshole...”

”Wifey...” Asher whined coaxingly while hugging me, but he still wouldn’t let me go.

I sucked in a sharp breath and leaned against the sink, feeling utterly hopeless. All I could do was pray that the wall-mounted sink was sturdy enough not to fall...

”Julian Fletcher, he deserves to die.” Asher was still jealous—jealous that Julian Fletcher had tried to take me away.

Or maybe he was jealous that the past Cecilia Caldwell had loved Julian Fletcher.

”I could never bear to hurt you...” His fingers enclosed my wrist, gently rubbing the red marks there—the ones left when Julian Fletcher had grabbed me earlier.

”Cece, he hurt you, and he threatened me... Don’t like him.” Asher complained with that subtly manipulative innocence of his, kissing my neck, which tickled.

’What could I do? His charms and pillow talk were just too effective.’ Now even I couldn’t help but want to curse out Julian Fletcher. ”He and Erin Whittaker have the same IQ... Just ignore him.”

Asher was preemptively revealing the ’sacrifices’ Julian Fletcher might make, essentially inoculating me against them.

’He didn’t want me to be moved by Julian Fletcher’s sacrifices and abandon him for Julian later on.’

”I...”

Just as I was about to say something, I heard someone shouting from the living room. ”Anyone here? Sebastian Lancaster? Cecilia Caldwell?”

It was Felix Foster’s voice.

I tensed up, trying to push Asher away. ’Felix Foster is a high schooler... and the bathroom door isn’t even locked!’

Asher mischievously pressed me against the wall, refusing to let me move.

”Sebastian Lancaster...” My voice was so tight with anxiety it was almost a sob, and I didn’t dare speak any louder.

”Sebastian Lancaster, what are you doing?” Felix Foster shouted warily from outside the door.

”My wife,” Asher replied coolly.

The air was silent for a moment, then an indignant shriek erupted. ”You’re shameless! In broad daylight...”

”Get lost!”

”Right away.”
