Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1418: Chapter 1432: Showing Off

”Second Brother, are you in a rush to have a child?” Gu Haoyu suddenly said, noticing the change in expressions on their faces, and let out a soft laugh, ”I told you before, our child will still be the eldest, no matter how anxious you are, it will still be the second child. Just let it be, Ran is so young, having a child too early wouldn’t be good for her health.”

Mu Xingfeng felt a moment of embarrassment at having his thoughts exposed but quickly masked it.

”I just want her to be healthy, Brother, what do you mean by that? Are you showing off to us brothers?”

Gu Haoyu leaned back on the sofa, found a comfortable position, and pulled Lin Ruonan into his arms, his face showing a mischievous pride. ”If that’s how you want to think, I can’t stop you.”

”Brother, like you told me before, don’t speak too soon. Though Sister-in-law is expecting now, whether it’s a boy or a girl is still uncertain. Maybe the ’eldest brother’ position you’re so longing for will turn out to be an ’eldest sister’ spot once the child is born.”

Mu Xingfeng wrapped an arm around An Ran as sparks flew between the two men’s gazes.

Lin Junyang put down his phone in exasperation and made a ’halt’ gesture between them, ”Hey, can we put the whole eldest brother and sister thing on hold for a second? I actually have something to discuss with Brother, and with everyone here today, it saves me a trip.”

Saying this, he looked at Gu Haoyu, adopting a slightly ingratiating tone, ”Brother-in-law, I’m thinking of buying a private residence, preferably in your area, so it’ll be convenient for us to visit each other. I don’t have time because of the Special Team, so could you have your people help me find a suitable place?

Also, can I cash out my shares in the Gu Family? If you’re worried about affecting the stock price, the Mu Family can contribute a bit too. I’ll discuss it with Sister Wanxin, and if that doesn’t work, we’ll have Fourth Brother contribute a bit too. Money’s not a problem; since it’s my first time buying a house, I want one with good feng shui, European style, preferably with a small garden.”

Although Lin Junyang comes from a family of soldiers, over the years, he’s invested in shares within the Gu Family, Mu Family, and even Sun Wangbei’s Jiawen Entertainment with his brothers.

But for years, he has been stationed with the Nan’an Team and didn’t need those shares, only having bought himself a car, not bothering with the annual dividends and interest.

Gu Haoyu seemed to have thought of something, and his eyes glinted, ”Just because you called me brother-in-law, you don’t need to worry about the house. Once a suitable one is found, I’ll have Assistant Qi inform you to check it out.”

Seeing how quickly Lin Junyang’s house matter was settled, Chen Yankun snapped back to reality on the side.

”Hey, Fifth Brother, why are you buying a house for no reason? Don’t tell me you want your own private space.”

”Why can’t I have my own private space?” Lin Junyang responded.

”But... but all these years, you’ve never seemed interested in having your own space?”

The main thing is, this guy buys a villa in Yujing Garden first thing, while I’ve only bought myself a duplex since taking over the company. The more I think about it, the more suspicious his actions seem.

”Alright, Third Brother, don’t worry about it. If you want one too, let Brother help you find a place. It’d be lively with all of us living in this area.” With the house matter decided, Lin Junyang was in a good mood.
