Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1376: Chapter 1390: Her Heart Grew Cold

It’s also not good for myself, knowing perfectly well yesterday that Xie Yuting was there, yet I still kept drawing such paper balls, so much so that later, to prevent her from drinking too much and throwing up in his car, he actually kissed her.

Even though she was drunk at the time, she really and truly felt that kiss.

He was so gentle, so passionate, so...

Ahem, in short, demanding a kiss from someone who holds another dear in their heart, regardless of the reason, just doesn’t seem right.

Moreover, Lin Junyang hasn’t acknowledged her as anything of his.

She was merely here to be Lin Ruonan’s bridesmaid, and now that Lin Ruonan is already married, she is still staying at the Lin Family without the slightest consciousness of being a guest, Xiao Xiao thought over and over and felt it was too inappropriate.

Furthermore, being inexplicably kissed by this man yesterday, and today he’s looking into his ex-girlfriend’s news, Xiao Xiao just felt a bit embarrassed.

Xie Yuting is Lin Junyang’s reverse scale, and it’s also the issue Xiao Xiao has been avoiding, knowing full well why Lin Junyang couldn’t accept her.

Now, watching Xie Yuting’s on-and-off demeanor with Lin Junyang, her heart grew cold as well.

She set aside all pride and relentlessly pursued Lin Junyang for more than half a year, yet she couldn’t compete with a single glance from the other.

”Um... Lin Junyang, I’ve finished eating. Instructor Mu booked our plane tickets for this afternoon. I’ll be going to find Ranran in a bit, and please do bid farewell for me to Grandpa Lin, Uncle Lin, and Aunt Jiang. I’ve troubled them for so long and caused quite some inconvenience. Thank Grandpa Lin, Uncle Lin, and Aunt Jiang for being so accommodating.”

Xiao Xiao said sincerely. The Lin Family was genuinely nice to her, and she could feel their wholehearted kindness. If it weren’t for this, she should have bid farewell to the Lin Family in person.

After Xiao Xiao finished speaking, without waiting for Lin Junyang to respond, she turned and went upstairs.

All her belongings were at the Lin Family, and there weren’t many, just one backpack. With the backpack on her back, she could find An Ran and leave at any time in the afternoon.

Lin Junyang looked at the girl’s slender figure, irritably pushed aside the bowl in front of him.

Grandpa eats at seven-thirty every day, yet they’ve never complained about her getting up late. Besides, when he was at home, he rarely got up on time either.

Today, the whole family wasn’t at home. On one hand, because his father and mother were previously busy preparing for the eldest sister’s wedding and took leave from work. Now that the wedding was over, they should rightfully return to handle work affairs.

And as for Grandpa, going to play chess with Grandpa Shen was just an excuse. He still remembered what Grandpa said to him when he first came downstairs, telling him that since everyone was out, Xiao Xiao could stay at home and relax, and that he should accompany her well.

He also wanted to spend time with her, but why did things turn out this way?

Lin Junyang stood up, saw a stack of documents on the coffee table, picked them up and glanced through briefly, then tossed them back on the table. Staring at them for a while, he still found them very much an eyesore, so he called a servant, ”Take this stuff and get rid of it.”

Due to work reasons, Lin Weidong often had things to destroy, so there was a paper shredder at the door.

The servant answered and took the materials to the doorway.

Without the eyesore, Lin Junyang still felt his heart was being clawed at, and at the thought of that girl leaving, an unwillingness filled his chest.

Gazing up at the firmly closed guest room door on the second floor, he stepped upstairs.

The door wasn’t locked, and Lin Junyang walked in without knocking.

Xiao Xiao was packing up her things, with two books on the desk, which should be her holiday homework.
