Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1278: Chapter 1292: Returning to Nan’an

Lin Ruonan seemed to just realize there was someone standing next to her, and blinked, confused, ”You want more than just me to come down?”

”Where’s that stupid woman?”

Lin Junyang glanced upstairs at the guest room, confirming that the person he wanted to see wasn’t there.

Lin Ruonan followed Lin Junyang’s gaze upstairs, pretended to suddenly realize, ”Oh, you mean Xiao Xiao, she went back to Nan’an.”

Lin Junyang was almost infuriated by Lin Ruonan’s indifferent attitude.

Back to Nan’an? She went back to Nan’an after just one night? He hadn’t even spoken a word to that woman.

...No, wait, he might have said something, and it wasn’t something good.

Thinking of this, Lin Junyang felt even more choked up inside, glaring at Lin Ruonan with disdain, ”I say, Sis, have you gone daft being in the Guard Team? I went to the trouble of finding you a bridesmaid and you managed to scare her off? Have you thought about how awkward it’ll be on your wedding day without a bridesmaid?”

Lin Ruonan indifferently linked her arm with Gu Haoyu’s, not looking back, ”You don’t have to worry about that. Originally, I planned to bring in some female guards from my team to be bridesmaids. You insisted on inviting Xiao Xiao over. I thought you were interested in her. Who knew you’d scold her right after she arrived. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have brought her home in the first place. Seems I misunderstood.”

Lin Junyang took a few steps to stand in front of Lin Ruonan, pointing at his own nose, ”Me? Interested in her? How did you get such a stupid idea about that stupid girl?”

”Yes, maybe it was my misconception. Since I was wrong, I corrected it. So today I had Brother book her a flight and send her to the airport. She’s likely in Nan’an by now.”

Lin Ruonan bypassed Lin Junyang and continued walking forward.

Lin Junyang blocked her path again, ”Did Second Sister-in-law know you sent her away? She’s Second Sister-in-law’s best friend, and they came to the Imperial City together. She ought to return to Nan’an with Second Sister-in-law. How could you decide on your own?”

Lin Ruonan, a bit impatient at being stopped again, frowned slightly, ”When did you become so fussy? Later we’re going to Brother’s Blue Sea and Sky. Second Brother and Second Sister-in-law will be there too, so you can tell her then. By the way, are you coming with us or going back to your Guard Team?”

Lin Junyang ignored her, pulled out his phone to check the next flight to Nan’an. Lin Ruonan glimpsed his screen out of the corner of her eye, feeling amused inside but keeping a casual expression, ”There’s only one flight a day from the Imperial City to Nan’an, and it’s in the morning. Since you can’t leave tonight, come with us to Blue Sea and Sky.”

She had her doubts, wondering if her silly brother would, in a fit of urgency, drive straight to Nan’an, which wouldn’t be any fun.

”That’s the only option,” Lin Junyang sighed, put his phone back in his pocket, then suddenly widened his eyes, his neck stiffening, ”Who said I’m going to Nan’an? I was just checking when there’d be a flight back to Nan’an on the 7th. I’m Second Brother’s deputy now; I need to arrange Second Sister-in-law’s flight in advance.”

Lin Ruonan didn’t expose him, arm in arm with Gu Haoyu, not even giving him a glance, ”Brother, let’s hurry and go, I’m starving.”

Gu Haoyu looked at her tenderly, pinched her cheek softly, ”Hungry again? Didn’t you just have cake this afternoon?”
