Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1273: Chapter 1287: Picking Up a Wife

Mu Wanxin gave a mischievous smile, ”You know what? I almost tricked Xingfeng when I was trying to matchmake the two of them.”

Without waiting for An Ran and Xiao Xiao to chime in, she continued with a suppressed laugh.

”Last year, mom called Xingfeng asking him to return to the Imperial City for a blind date, but he hid out in Nan’an for months, not coming home or making a single phone call.

At that time, I had just returned from a business trip abroad. After discussing it with mom, we thought it’d been twenty years since Ruonan started liking Xingfeng, and now she’s twenty-four, Xingfeng is twenty-six, and grandpa was eager to have a grandchild. Why not give the two of them a push? After all, they’re both kids our families watched grow up, and neither side has objections. How long are we supposed to wait for Ruonan to melt that ice block Xingfeng?

So I was sent as the vanguard, taking Ruonan to Nan’an. Hearing he was in Pingxi, I arranged for Ruonan to book a hotel room, then asked Xingfeng out for tea, slipping something into his tea. That guy probably didn’t expect me to mess with him to this extent, so he drank it down, bottoms up. Guess what happened?”

Mu Wanxin paused here, seeing their expressions change like a kaleidoscope, assuming they were shocked by her actions. She laughed and continued, ”I really did trick that guy. After he drank the tea, I forgot about the drug, letting him return to the Guard Team. I was genuinely worried then, with all that testosterone in the Guard Team, that it might just bend him.”

”Pfft—”

At this point, Xiao Xiao couldn’t help but spray a mouthful of water, giving Mu Wanxin a thumbs up.

”Big sis, I wouldn’t help an old lady cross the road, but I’d help you. But Instructor Mu isn’t so easy to bend; not only did he not bend, he got himself a wife.”

With that, Xiao Xiao looked at An Ran, smiling more slyly.

This left Mu Wanxin perplexed, ”What do you mean, he got himself a wife?”

Isn’t his wife An Ran? If he got a wife back then, what about An Ran?

”Big sis, do you know where An Ran and my home is?” Xiao Xiao couldn’t help but ask.

”Nan’an, wait, I think Xingfeng mentioned it, you’re from Pingxi,” Mu Wanxin said, mouth agape, pointing at An Ran and Xiao Xiao, could it be?

”Yes, it’s said that after Instructor Mu took your drug, he ended up driving to an empty road where our dear An Ran happened to be passing on her way home. Seeing Instructor Mu in such a distressed state, she selflessly helped him, and then...”

As she spoke, Xiao Xiao clasped her fists together, thumbs moving up and down, eyebrows moving in sync, her smile as sleazy as can be.

”Really?” Mu Wanxin believed it, thinking that their fate was just too...

”You’re just too much,” An Ran slapped Xiao Xiao’s hand. What was a painful experience for her was being recounted in such a... such a... scandalous way.

Xiao Xiao covered her head, lightly coughing, ”It wasn’t quite like that. Here’s how it really went.”

She sat up straight, faced her big sister full of curiosity, and began again, ”The earlier part is true. Instructor Mu did drive to the small road An Ran takes home. When An Ran passed by and saw someone in the car looking unwell, thinking he was ill, she tried to help, only to be... by Instructor Mu.”
