Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1089: Chapter 1101: Wang Yuyan

Although they had thought about having a baby after returning from the Imperial City, Mu Xingfeng felt that she was still young and having a child so early might not be good for her health.

This matter seemed to be quite conflicting for him as well.

After hearing the grandfather’s encouragement today, should they really consider having a child?

...

When she opened her eyes again, it was already daylight.

The air conditioner hummed softly as it blew, and even through the closed windows, the loud slogans of the team members training outside could be heard. The man was nowhere to be seen in the room, likely already gone for morning training.

Just as she was pondering this, footsteps approached from outside the door, which then opened, and someone entered the room.

”Get up, come out for breakfast.”

An Ran took a quick, refreshing shower, and when she came out, Mu Xingfeng was in the kitchen warming up porridge.

Even in summer, Mu Xingfeng never allowed her to have cold food, insisting that meals be eaten hot.

After breakfast, Mu Xingfeng needed to go to the military headquarters, while An Ran went to Chief Guard Wang’s house.

Chief Guard Wang had only one daughter, named Wang Yuyan. An Ran wasn’t sure if Chief Guard Wang was a martial arts fan, but she always thought he must have been imaginative when naming his daughter.

Knowing that after this summer, Wang Yuyan would be going to Nan’an City for middle school, An Ran had bought a gift for her—a fashion wristwatch—when she bought a dance outfit in Nan’an.

The watch had a dial inlaid with water diamonds and a clover chain; the clover symbolized luck, which An Ran thought was a nice meaning.

When she knocked on Chief Guard Wang’s door, it was Wang Yuyan who opened it. Seeing An Ran, Wang Yuyan was excited: ”Sister An, you finally came. If you hadn’t shown up soon, I thought my cake would end up a mess by noon.”

There were originally few women in the Guard Team courtyard, and even fewer girls.

Chief Guard Wang was somewhat older, and Captain Li and Captain Tao, who had children, both had boys. So, despite being a family member herself, An Ran quickly befriended the little Wang Yuyan after coming to the Guard Team a few times as a university student.

In Wang Yuyan’s eyes, An Ran was beautiful, enthusiastic, and shared many common interests with her. More importantly, An Ran had many qualities that she aspired to.

As a high-achieving student from Nan’an University, just mentioning it made people admire her.

”How would it be a mess?” An Ran replied with a smile.

Sister-in-law Song heard the commotion outside and came out of the kitchen. Seeing An Ran, she greeted her and then jokingly scolded her daughter: ”Can’t you save some face for your mom?”

Wang Yuyan pursed her lips in slight disagreement, ”Mom, I was trying to save your face. But once Sister An goes into the kitchen, she’ll see your masterpiece. Rather than surprise her, I thought I’d give her a heads-up so she doesn’t hold back her laughter and hurt herself internally.”

”Do you have to tease your mom like this?” Sister-in-law Song tapped Wang Yuyan on the forehead and smiled helplessly at An Ran, ”I thought I’d make the cake base first, and with your skill, you could help decorate once you arrived. But after working on it for ages, the cake base turned out burnt, even though I followed your steps.”
