Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1077: Chapter 1089: Dad, This Person Hit Mom

Although the pants were nearly dry, there were still noticeable water stains on them due to the sweat, making them look somewhat ridiculous.

An Ran held the pants tightly, feeling guilty, as if she had not been a very good wife.

At this moment, Hairong had completely lost his reason. His mother was his only family; his father had never been around since he was little. He had always known that as a man, it was his responsibility to protect his mother.

But now, someone had slapped his mother right in front of him. Seeing Mu Xingfeng, Hairong felt he had found his backbone, and he pointed at Huang Xiaoyu and shouted to Mu Xingfeng, ”Dad, this person hit Mom.”

Dad?

Jia Chenggang paused in his movements towards Wang Xia and looked at Mu Xingfeng.

Why was Hairong calling him Dad?

Wang Xia had been dumbfounded by Huang Xiaoyu’s slap, and hearing Hairong call Mu Xingfeng dad, it was too late for her to stop it.

”Rong, don’t speak nonsense, that’s Uncle Mu.” Wang Xia pulled Hairong’s small arm and said with a pale face.

Unexpectedly, Hairong directly broke away from her and shouted at her, ”Mom, why don’t you let me call him Dad anymore? He clearly is Dad, but you make me call him Uncle Mu. You said Dad would protect us. Why were you still hit by that woman in the Guard Team?”

”Why? Because he’s not your dad at all. Your dad died when you were born. Your mom, the toad wants to eat swan meat, dreaming of making Captain Mu your dad, but unfortunately, his wife is An Ran. He can never be your dad.”

Hearing Hairong call dad reminded Huang Xiaoyu of how ridiculous she had been, helping Wang Xia to get rid of An Ran and ruining her own future in the process.

Looking at Wang Xia’s pale face, Huang Xiaoyu only wanted to tear apart her hypocritical mask.

”Impossible, my dad didn’t die, my dad is Mu Xingfeng,” Hairong shouted hysterically, trying to prove with his voice that what he was saying was true.

Huang Xiaoyu let out a scornful sigh and said contemptuously, ”If your dad is Mu Xingfeng, then why is your last name Hai and not Mu? Rong, today Teacher Huang will tell you that Mu Xingfeng is not your dad. Your dad’s last name is Hai, named Haigang. He was a martyr from the Nan’an Guard Team First Area, a hero.”

Hairong listened in a daze to what Huang Xiaoyu had said, his eyes widened in disbelief as he looked up at Wang Xia, ”Mom, is what she’s saying true?”

Even though he was asking his mom, Hairong’s heart seemed to have already found the answer.

When he came to the Nan’an Guard Team, all the uncles were very nice to him, but he hadn’t seen his dad many times. When these uncles spoke, they often mentioned someone, and that was Haigang.

At this moment, Wang Xia was in tears. She squatted down, hugged Hairong, and looked at Huang Xiaoyu, ”Teacher Huang, please don’t say anymore, please don’t. He’s so young, why say this to him? Xingfeng, say something.”

Wang Xia, helpless, turned to Mu Xingfeng with a pleading look.

This scene surprised everyone, as they all knew Wang Xia and her son were Haigang’s widow and orphan, but didn’t know Hairong, at such an age, didn’t know who his biological father was.

Mu Xingfeng frowned even more tightly.

In the past, when Hairong called him dad, he believed what Wang Xia said, thinking it was the child learning to address people and didn’t take it to heart. Later, his visits back to the Imperial City were infrequent, and each time Hairong called him that, he found it hard to refuse the child on the spot, and Wang Xia also said she would correct him when they got back.
