Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1088: Chapter 1100: Deleted Chapter

After hanging up the phone, Mu Xingfeng let out a long sigh, while An Ran tilted her little head, staring at him intently.

Mu Xingfeng glanced sideways, reaching out to touch her soft earlobe, ”What’s wrong?”

”Why do I feel like Grandpa told you something really important? You look so serious.”

Since he picked up the phone, there was no particular expression on Mu Xingfeng’s face, only at the end did his mood slightly relax, as if his promotion was not as celebrated by the Mu family as he had imagined.

”Nothing,” Mu Xingfeng explained to reassure An Ran, ”When a doctor is promoted to a position like this, the state pays very much attention. Grandpa was worried I might have thoughts, so he specifically reminded me.”

Mu Xingfeng’s voice was deep and mellifluous, calm and unhurried, like a gentle stream, but An Ran could sense different emotions from it.

”Mu Xingfeng, you’re my hero,” An Ran wrapped her arms around his lean waist, listening to the strong beat of his heart, she whispered.

Hearing the little wife say you’re my hero, Mu Xingfeng felt completely warmed up, and chuckled, ”Hmm, I am only my wife’s hero. Wife, Grandpa asked when we plan to have children.”

”Ah?” An Ran lifted her head, thinking Old Mr. Mu’s thoughts jumped too quickly.

He just seriously lectured his grandson, then asked when they were going to have children. Wouldn’t this sort of conversation ruin the previous image?

”My sister is already pregnant, and technically, we got our marriage certificate earlier than they did, so Grandpa is getting anxious, you know? Ever since you acknowledged your family with the Shen Family, Grandpa visits our home often, and now he comes even more frequently, boasting in front of Grandpa that he’s going to hold a great-grandson soon.” Mu Xingfeng said with a helpless look.

”If Grandpa gets a great-grandson, won’t our Grandpa also get great-grandchildren?” An Ran was speechless, unable to understand the childish behavior of Old Mr. Mu, Old Mr. Shen, and Old Mr. Lin. Despite their age, they behave like children, constantly comparing this and that.

”But Grandpa said, the child will have the surname Shen.”

An Ran: ”...”

Why is Grandpa even more childish than Old Mr. Mu?

An Ran still remembers the last time Old Mr. Mu faked illness, wanting a great-grandson. She knew the old man had always hoped to see the fourth generation, making her feel guilty when she thought about it.

Mu Xingfeng is already twenty-seven this year. If he had married someone of a similar age back then, Old Mr. Mu might have already held a great-grandson. But An Ran still had to finish school, and it would take at least three more years after she graduated from college.

Although they had thought of having a baby after returning from the Imperial City, Mu Xingfeng still felt she was too young, and having a baby too early might not be good for her health. While they occasionally didn’t take precautions, they mostly were careful.

This issue seems to be a bit conflicting for him too.

”Let’s go, wife, let’s go make a baby.”

Mu Xingfeng bent over and picked up his dazed little wife, heading straight to the bedroom.

He was indeed conflicted, worrying about An Ran’s young age, and having a baby might be bad for her health, yet wanting her to get pregnant so they could go to the Imperial City together.

Hearing Grandpa’s encouragement today, should he really put in more effort to make his little wife pregnant soon?

...

When she opened her eyes again, it was already daylight.

The indoor air conditioner was humming, and through the closed window, the room was already devoid of the man’s presence, he probably went jogging.

She was a bit skeptical, wondering if after a night’s indulgence, his legs would feel weak while jogging.

As she was thinking, footsteps sounded from outside the door, then the door opened, and someone entered the room.

Mu Xingfeng came in and saw the empty living room, realizing the little one hadn’t gotten up yet.

Changing his shoes, he placed the breakfast he brought back on the dining table, tiptoed to the bedroom, and opened the door to find the little one staring at him with wide eyes.

”Wife, since you’re awake, why aren’t you getting up?” Mu Xingfeng said as he approached the bed, sat on the edge, and went to tousle her messy long hair.

The girl suddenly acted like a startled little cat, sitting up with a jump, hugging the blanket to her chest, looking at him defensively.

She still had to help Sister-in-law Song make a cake later, she couldn’t let this man be naughty anymore.

”Heh~~” Mu Xingfeng chuckled softly as he stood up, ”Get up, come eat breakfast.”
