Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1086: Chapter 1098: Stuck with You for Life

This man, I was just joking, but it led to a whole lot of nagging from him.

Who is Mu Xingfeng? The Cold-faced Yama of Nan’an, someone who treasures his words like gold, now nagging endlessly like a slighted wife.

She knew Mu Xingfeng was not a patient person, but with her, he always had an endless supply of patience.

Wasn’t he just afraid she might fancy another guy and forget about him?

”Don’t worry, hubby, in life or death, I’m yours. I’ll cling to you this lifetime,”

An Ran promised helplessly.

”You cheeky girl,” Mu Xingfeng gave her a playful smack on her bottom. ”Let’s go, call grandpa.”

Seeing those military badges made An Ran want to call Old Mr. Mu to share the good news. Mu Xingfeng was worried that grandpa might be eating at that moment, so they waited until after dinner to call.

An Ran clutched her backside, wrinkled her nose, and mumbled while walking towards the kitchen.

Mu Xingfeng couldn’t quite hear what she was mumbling about. It was likely just some nursery rhyme she’d mentioned a few times before. Perhaps it was the north-south difference, as there was a time he didn’t understand it, but An Ran was undeniably cute when reciting it.

Nanny Chen answered the phone. Hearing An Ran’s voice, she excitedly shouted on the other end, ”Old Master, Old Madam, it’s the Young Madam’s call.”

Then, An Ran heard the sounds of shuffling inside and the incessant debate between grandpa and grandma.

”Ran must be calling for me, let go.”

”How is that possible? Last time, you said she’d call me in a few days. It’s definitely for me.”

”Last time, she said she’d call me too. You old man, haven’t you heard of ’ladies first’?”

”You old woman, I’ve yielded to you all my life, and now you want to compete with me, let go, I have something serious to discuss with Ran.”

”What serious matter? Don’t try to deceive me, you old woman. If you don’t let go, I’ll tell Ran about last time, if she finds out you...”

”Shh... shh... old woman, keep your voice down, fine, fine, here.”

An Ran couldn’t help but laugh as she looked at Mu Xingfeng.

Mu Xingfeng had already heard the noise inside, affectionately ruffling his little wife’s hair, and whispered playfully in her ear, ”With you as my granddaughter-in-law, I’ve already fallen out of favor as a grandson.”

An Ran smiled and gave his leg a playful smack, just as grandma’s voice came through the phone, ”Ran, why haven’t you called grandma in so long? Grandma missed you.”

Actually, An Ran often called the Mu Family. The last call was just after returning from Qingfeng Town, but the elders always felt like they didn’t call often enough.

An Ran smiled, soothing Grandma Mu, inquiring about her health, and then shared the news of Mu Xingfeng’s promotion with her.

Over there, when Old Mr. Mu heard that Mu Xingfeng had been promoted to Major General, he grabbed the phone.

”Ran, has Xingfeng been promoted?”

”Yes, grandpa, it happened this afternoon, so I called to share the good news with you and grandma,” An Ran answered sweetly.

”Then pass the phone to Xingfeng, I’d like to have a word with him.” Sensing Old Mr. Mu’s solemn tone, An Ran didn’t say much and handed the phone to Mu Xingfeng.

”Grandpa,” Mu Xingfeng called out, instinctively standing upright.

After that, An Ran couldn’t hear what Old Mr. Mu said on the phone. She only saw Mu Xingfeng’s stern face reflecting a sense of seriousness, occasionally uttering a low ”yes.”
