Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 609: Chapter 622: You Must Take Good Care of Yourself from Now On

Mu Xingfeng paused for a moment, then gently turned her head to face him and said, ”We rushed to get our marriage certificate, and then I went on a mission. There hasn’t been much going on at home since. Grandpa and Grandma were thinking, should we hold an engagement ceremony before Big Sister’s wedding, or just handle it together with her wedding?”

An Ran didn’t expect Mu Xingfeng’s mother to call about this, especially since she and Mu Xingfeng had already agreed to hold the wedding after she graduated. As for an engagement ceremony, she hadn’t really thought about it.

”I don’t mind about these things. You can tell Aunt He I’m okay with whatever. As for the wedding, let’s stick to our plan and wait until I graduate.”

”Aunt He, Aunt He... My dear, I felt the same as you, but when I heard you call her Aunt He, I realized some steps really can’t be skipped.” Mu Xingfeng pinched her soft cheek, his expression full of affection.

”Let’s see how things go then. You don’t need to worry about these things, just be aware of them.”

Mu Xingfeng thought to himself, if he could take a few more days off, it would be best to give An Ran a grand engagement ceremony and ideally have it some time apart from Big Sister’s wedding.

...

The next day, she opened her eyes to find the room already bright. Playful sunlight peeked through the curtains and onto the bed.

”Awake?” The voice above her, deep like a cello, carried a note of joy.

An Ran realized she was still enveloped in a warm embrace.

”Mu Xingfeng, how come you’re...”

Mu Xingfeng had a very regular routine and a habit of morning runs. Even on weekends when he didn’t need to attend early training, he would wake up on time and go for a run.

But now, it was clearly already late morning.

She was used to waking up in the morning without seeing him. Waking up in his arms today felt quite unusual.

”I’m off today, no early training. I can spend more time with you.”

After An Ran finished washing up and came out of the bathroom, Mu Xingfeng was changing out of his pajamas.

The scar on his chest, near his heart, the once pink wound from freshly healed skin, had deepened in color over two months. The round gunshot wound now looked like a red sun.

An Ran walked over and gently stroked the scar, her eyes growing slightly red.

Mu Xingfeng didn’t expect that she came over to look at his scar. Seeing her eyes reddened, he quickly picked up his shirt and put it on. ”Dear, stop looking at it, it’s all healed. There’s nothing to see.”

”Is this scar not healing well? Should we go back to the hospital for a check-up?” Otherwise, how could it still be so red after such a long time?

”It’s healing well. I know my own body. Maybe it’s because of the location, the scar color is deeper.” Mu Xingfeng comforted her.

Actually, he also felt it was strange. He healed quickly due to his good constitution and had never experienced this before.

Although the scar color was deep, there was no other sensation. He was sure it had healed.

”Mu Xingfeng~” An Ran whispered softly, wrapping her arms around his waist, ”You must always protect yourself well in the future.”

Her soft murmurs, though low in volume, struck deeply in the man’s heart.

How could he not know her helplessness? She had come to see him as her everything.

Having taken a week off, An Ran returned to school in the afternoon.

Mu Xingfeng took her to the school gate, embracing and kissing her repeatedly in the car, his eyes filled with a forlorn look like an abandoned wife.
