Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 608: Chapter 621: Abandoned Chapter

In the living room, An Ran opened a bag of chips and absent-mindedly stuffed them into her mouth, all the while watching the man tidying up the refrigerator.

The refrigerator was a double-door model. To An Ran, this man was capable of anything.

But his cooking skills were far from great, which happened to be her passion and forte.

If there was a moment when she felt most satisfied being with him, it was when she saw Mu Xingfeng eagerly eating the meals she personally made.

She didn’t have grand aspirations; if she did, it would be to stay by this man and make meals for him for a lifetime.

So, he naturally chose a large refrigerator, one that she could fill up with ingredients to cook delicious meals for him every day.

”Mu Xingfeng, aren’t you hungry?”

Feeling somewhat ignored by the man, An Ran was a bit annoyed. Was her charm not enough, or did he really not want her?

Wasn’t it said that after being a soldier for three years, even a sow would outshine Diao Chan?

An Ran lowered her head and looked at her still quite curvy figure; surely, she was a hundred times better than a sow.

”Cough, cough...,” An Ran accidentally choked on a chip crumb and couldn’t help but cough a couple of times.

Mu Xingfeng was already trying his best not to look at her. Upon hearing An Ran’s question, his back visibly stiffened, and his movements sped up.

”Don’t rush, food will be ready soon.”

He cursed inwardly, regretting letting Lin Junyang bring food for the two of them.

”Oh,” An Ran responded, her tone noticeably more downcast.

But what could he do? Mu Xingfeng couldn’t get close to her right now.

Ever since he found out about An Ran’s Valentine’s Day gift for him, these past few days had been tough.

In the past, he always worried that their first time had left her with a shadow, afraid she might have a repulsion toward such matters, especially that time in the Imperial City, when he clearly saw her fear.

So even though they had clarified their feelings, he remained cautious, afraid of hurting her.

When he saw the Valentine’s Day gift she had prepared but didn’t give, he knew that his little darling had completely accepted him, even eagerly awaited him.

Knowing her feelings, every night was a torment for him. If it weren’t for her injury, he would have been impatiently wanting her.

That feeling of physical and spiritual reunion was unforgettable to him.

At that moment, the doorbell rang.

An Ran, seeing the man still engrossed in cleaning the refrigerator, got up to answer the door.

What she didn’t notice was that upon hearing the doorbell, Mu Xingfeng’s tense body visibly relaxed.

An Ran peeked through the peephole and then turned to Mu Xingfeng, saying, ”It’s Brother Yang.”

She then opened the door.

”Tuzi, are you hungry?”

Lin Junyang came in carrying two boxes of food, casually asking upon seeing An Ran.

Having been worried about whether Instructor Mu was hungry, An Ran’s face turned red upon hearing this.

Damn, a perfectly normal sentence turned inappropriate.

Mu Xingfeng had long left his task and was standing behind An Ran, wrapping his arm around her slender waist. Leading her to the dining table, he pressed her into a chair saying, ”You came at the right time; she was just saying she was hungry.”

”Thunk—” An Ran’s head hit the table, feeling dejected.

After dinner, An Ran sat on the sofa watching TV, occasionally glancing in the direction of the study.

When the clock struck nine, Mu Xingfeng walked out of the study, looking at the little woman on the sofa, ”Wifey, why haven’t you gone to shower and sleep?”
