Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 534: Chapter 548 What’s the Situation?

Now that I think about it, Gu Haoyu is top-notch in terms of appearance, age, and ability. Although he’s a businessman, he’s not an old stickler. If Lin Ruonan is willing, that boy is a good choice.

”Yes, yes, Ruonan is excellent in every way, it’s just that Xingfeng is not lucky enough.” Old Mr. Mu immediately followed.

At this moment, the sound of a car was heard outside, followed by the respectful greetings of the servants, ”Miss is back.”

Old Mr. Lin looked up at the sound and saw Lin Ruonan and Gu Haoyu walking in one after the other.

At the sight of Gu Haoyu, Old Mr. Lin squinted slightly. Speak of the devil, he just thought this kid was not bad, and now here he was accompanying his granddaughter home.

Looking at Gu Haoyu’s manner, it was obvious that he brought Nan back. The family didn’t know about Ruonan’s return to the Imperial City, so how did Gu Haoyu know? Could it be that the two have developed a relationship?

Lin Ruonan saw the two old men playing chess in the flower room and greeted them as she entered the garden, ”Grandpa Mu is here too? How is it? Has my grandpa managed to turn things around?”

Old Mr. Mu laughed heartily at Lin Ruonan’s words, ”Just look at this, your grandpa needs more practice if he wants to win against me.”

Ruonan burst out laughing at this.

Old Mr. Lin, who had been furious at Old Mr. Mu’s words, suddenly froze when he saw Lin Ruonan’s smile.

How long had it been since little Nan laughed like this? He couldn’t even remember.

At this moment, Gu Haoyu also stepped forward to greet the old men, ”Hello Grandpa Lin, hello Grandpa Mu.”

Old Mr. Lin withdrew his gaze from Lin Ruonan and turned to Gu Haoyu, ”Haoyu, you’re here. How did you end up with Nan today?”

Are they really together? His granddaughter’s changes, could they be because of this young man? Old Mr. Lin felt a bit excited inside.

Seeing Old Mr. Lin’s eyes light up impressively, Lin Ruonan quickly explained, ”I happened to run into Brother at the airport when I got off the plane, so I asked him to bring me home.”

Upon hearing this, Old Mr. Lin’s eyes dimmed momentarily, but he quickly looked up again, ”Since you’re here, it’s almost noon, stay for lunch before you go.” He then turned to the servants and instructed, ”We have guests today, inform the kitchen to prepare more dishes.”

Gu Haoyu maintained an appropriate smile on his face, ”Thank you for having me.”

”It’s no trouble, I get bored at home. It’s good to have some company. Nan, take Haoyu inside to rest.” Old Mr. Lin pointed to the house.

Lin Ruonan nodded, ”Brother, let’s go inside and rest.”

Gu Haoyu said goodbye to the two old men and followed Lin Ruonan into the main house.

Watching their backs, Old Mr. Lin’s smile grew euphoric. Old Mr. Mu blinked, puzzled, ”Old Man Lin, what’s going on here?”

”Hmph, can’t you see? The Gu Family boy is courting our little Nan.” Old Mr. Lin, who no longer held any resentment over Mu Xingfeng’s rejection of his granddaughter, said proudly.

”This is good news. That Gu Family boy may be in business, but he graduated from a military academy. If it weren’t for his family’s business, he would probably be in the military too. And this kid has courage and vision. He took over the family business at a young age and has been expanding it ever since. This boy is impressive.” Old Mr. Mu rarely praised someone.
