Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 234: Chapter 247: I Can Be Even More Brutal

Mu Xingfeng looked Sun Wangbei up and down, a bloodthirsty curve appearing at the corner of his lips, ”I can be even more ruthless.”

Chen Yankun quickly got up and pulled out a chair nearby, grinning widely, ”Second Brother, Second Sister-in-law, sit here.”

Mu Xingfeng nodded, led An Ran over, and sat down. He nodded at Gu Haoyu, ”Brother.”

Gu Haoyu had been looking at An Ran ever since they entered, but his gaze was much more casual. Hearing Mu Xingfeng greet him, he also nodded and asked, ”Are the injuries all healed? Didn’t you have to stay for a few more days?”

”I’ve been fine for a while, recovering at home is the same.” Mu Xingfeng replied while pouring a cup of water for An Ran.

Sun Wangbei hadn’t recovered from his surprise, watching his usually cold brother pour a cup of water for the little girl, he thought he really needed to collect himself.

The room was a bit warm, An Ran removed her scarf and hat, her long black hair cascading over her shoulders, adding a touch of elegance to her playful charm.

”Second Brother, so you like the pure, innocent type?” Sun Wangbei looked at An Ran and exclaimed once more.

Before, he had enlisted company’s starlets to try to break his Second Brother’s composure, especially those with a seductive charm that would make any man’s blood boil, yet he never thought Second Brother liked this kind of fresh, innocent type.

Mu Xingfeng gave Sun Wangbei a look as if he were a fool, not bothering to respond, and then began to introduce a few people to An Ran.

”An Ran, this is Brother,” Mu Xingfeng said, pointing at Gu Haoyu.

On the way here, Mu Xingfeng had already mentioned that he wanted to introduce her to some of his good buddies in the Imperial City.

Just now, seeing Mu Xingfeng call Gu Haoyu Brother, and his attitude toward him, An Ran realized the significance of this person in Mu Xingfeng’s heart.

”Hello, Brother.”

”This is Third Brother, Chen Yankun, you’ve met before, remember?”

An Ran nodded, her ears turning slightly red. Of course, she remembered. Yesterday this person was the one who came to Pingxi with Mu Xingfeng to rescue her and went back to the Imperial City with them. She just didn’t know if she’d embarrassed herself in front of him yesterday.

Seeing the young girl’s face turn red and sweat starting to form on her forehead, Chen Yankun thought she probably remembered yesterday’s incident. He quickly raised his voice before An Ran could speak, ”Hello, Second Sister-in-law.”

This made An Ran’s face turn even redder.

Sun Wangbei found it very amusing seeing the young girl’s face turn red after being called Second Sister-in-law. He hadn’t encountered such an innocent little girl in a long time and wanted to tease her a bit.

”Second Brother, and what about me? Should I introduce myself?” Sun Wangbei eagerly suggested.

Mu Xingfeng gave him a glance, then said slowly, ”This is Fourth Brother, Sun—Wang—bei.”

”Pfft,” An Ran almost burst out in laughter. There’s actually someone named...

She thought she must have misheard, stifled her laughter, and turned to look at Mu Xingfeng. Her large, sparkling eyes blinked twice in confusion, and she tried to lower her voice, ”Sun Wangba?” (Note: Wangba sounds like ”turtle” but also slang for ”bastard” in Chinese)

Mu Xingfeng looked at the little girl’s expression, completely captivated by her, and patted her little head, ”Sweetie, you can call him whatever you want.”

Sun Wangbei across from them looked resentful, unable to believe even his Second Brother would treat him like this—the cold-faced Yama? The aloof, unattainable aura? The eight-thousand-meter-high iceberg demeanor?
