Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 221: Chapter 234 Where did the girl come from?

”Grandpa, Grandma, this is An Ran.” Xingfeng pulled An Ran over to introduce her to the elderly couple.

”Hello, Grandpa. Hello, Grandma,” An Ran felt she was really doing her job well. As Xingfeng’s fake girlfriend, not only did she need to ward off peach blossoms, but also to deal with this big family.

”Good, good,” Grandma Mu saw An Ran, let go of Xingfeng’s hand, and grabbed An Ran’s small hand. As soon as she touched it, her brows furrowed: ”Why are your hands so cold, child? Are you wearing too little clothing?”

Then she turned her head to instruct the servant: ”Chen, go and turn up the heating a bit.”

”No need, Grandma, I am not cold.” An Ran hurriedly said.

”How can you not be cold, with such icy hands? Xingfeng, where did you come from? The temperature has dropped in the Imperial City these past few days; didn’t you tell this girl?” Grandma Mu couldn’t help but complain, seeing An Ran dressed so thinly with only a pullover inside her thin down jacket.

With Grandma Mu’s words, Xingfeng realized that An Ran had always lived in the South, and perhaps she hadn’t experienced such weather in the Imperial City. Although he traveled between the North and South, due to his physical condition, he didn’t feel the changes in temperature strongly and forgot to remind her to dress warmly. No wonder her small hands were so cold when they got off the helicopter.

”My fault.” Xingfeng promptly admitted his mistake.

”Hmph,” Old Mr. Mu, who was standing beside them, snorted coldly and glanced at Xingfeng. ”Come here.”

An Ran looked at Old Mr. Mu and thought, well, he is the authority of this family. It seems that the favored match was Old Mr. Mu’s choice. With her arrival, she had clearly displeased the old man. It looks like Instructor Mu is in for a scolding.

Thinking of this, she anxiously glanced at Xingfeng.

Xingfeng rubbed her small head and simultaneously gave her a reassuring look, ”Chat with Grandma for a while; I’ll be back soon.”

An Ran was still worriedly looking at Xingfeng’s back, but Grandma Mu had already pulled her to sit down.

”Girl, how old are you?” Grandma Mu never expected that her cold and stern grandson would find such a tender, pink-cheeked girl. Could it be that the young girl was tricked by her grandson because she was too naive?

One must say, Grandma Mu, you’re absolutely right.

”I am twenty this year.” An Ran replied sweetly.

She was taken back to the An Family at the age of three by An Youcai. For some reason, An Youcai added two years to her age and told her that whenever anyone asked, she was five years old, even her foster mother Sun Xuehui.

For all these years, she always reported her age according to the household register, but in reality, she was only eighteen.

Grandma Mu visibly breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. Fortunately, she was of age. Kidnapping minors is against the law.

Seeing Grandma Mu and An Ran chatting warmly, He Yushu turned to the kitchen to personally cook something for her son. Wanxin also sat on the other side of Grandma Mu, stretching her neck out and gossiping with An Ran.

On the second floor study, Old Mr. Mu’s face was somber as he looked at his grandson in front of him.

”Tell me, where did you find this girl?”

”What does Grandpa mean? Your grandson doesn’t understand.” Xingfeng replied.

”Don’t play dumb with me. I am not muddle-headed yet. Just recently, when you were in the hospital recovering from injuries, you claimed you didn’t have a girlfriend, and now you bring one home. Do you think bringing one home means I’ll recognize her?”

He had already probed. Wanxin suggested bringing his girlfriend to the hospital to take care of him previously, and he adamantly denied it, even asking Ruonan to look after him.
