Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 223: Chapter 236: A Man in Love is the Most Adorable

The servants had already informed Old Mr. Mu when Grandma Mu called.

With the help of the servant, Old Mr. Mu said while coming downstairs, ”What’s the hurry? You never rush like this for meals usually. I just had breakfast a while ago. I’m not even hungry yet.”

Despite saying he’s not hungry, he was already seated at the dining table.

Grandma Mu secretly glared at the old man. In this family, if they, the elders, didn’t sit at the table, the children wouldn’t dare to declare they are hungry.

But she had to give the old man some face, ”It’s hard for Xingfeng to come home. Don’t you want to have a reunion meal with him?”

Old Mr. Mu glanced at Mu Xingfeng and hummed softly, muttering, ”So mad I’m full already.”

Though his voice wasn’t loud, An Ran heard it, and her face turned a shade paler.

Mu Xingfeng tightened his grip on An Ran’s hand, pulling her to the washroom while glancing teasingly at the people outside, ”Scared? Don’t forget your duty.”

An Ran, refusing to back down, raised her head, ”Scared? Absolutely not! Didn’t you see how well I got along with Grandma Mu?”

The main reason being, she saw her own grandmother’s shadow in Grandma Mu, making her irresistibly want to be close to her.

Mu Xingfeng saw her proud little expression and gently tapped her cute nose, ”Good. Keep up the good work.”

When they came out, everyone had already taken their seats, and Mu Xingfeng pulled An Ran to sit down as well.

Grandma Mu smiled and urged An Ran to eat, while Mu Zhenzong also told her to make herself at home.

An Ran looked at the table full of delicious dishes, most of which were spicy, obviously catering to Mu Xingfeng’s taste.

Mu Xingfeng noticed too and picked some nutritious, non-spicy dishes for An Ran, putting them in her bowl, ”Try this, see if you like it.”

An Ran took a couple of bites, but felt something was off, as if clusters of eyes were on her. Looking up, she saw everyone eating, except Mu Wanxin who wore a look of shock on her face.

Seeing An Ran looking over, Mu Wanxin glanced around and thought to herself: Damn, why am I the only one? They were all watching just now.

It wasn’t surprising everyone was astonished. As Mu Xingfeng’s family, they had never seen him care for others while eating, let alone putting food in someone else’s bowl. Now, not only was he doing that, but he also seemed genuinely concerned, making them feel like it was a fake Mu Xingfeng.

However, as former military personnel, they quickly composed themselves when they noticed An Ran was looking up. Only the novice Mu Wanxin was slow to react.

Facing An Ran’s clear eyes, Mu Wanxin awkwardly smiled and awkwardly picked up some dishes, ”An Ran, eat! Eat more.”

”Thank you, sister,” An Ran said, then thought that as Mu Xingfeng’s ”girlfriend,” she should also show some gesture.

So she picked up some green pepper beef and placed it in Mu Xingfeng’s bowl.

Mu Xingfeng glanced at An Ran, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his lips, and ate the beef she gave him.

”Clatter,” Mu Wanxin’s chopsticks fell onto the table. This time, she was truly shocked. It was the first time she saw her little brother eating food picked by someone else, and he seemed to enjoy it.

Indeed, men in love are the cutest (or weirdest).

An Ran had no idea how nerve-wracking her actions were for the Mu family, she just stared at the tiger-skin green peppers in her bowl. This was what Mu Wanxin just picked for her. If it wasn’t her first time dining with them, she would definitely think the other party...had a grudge against her.
