Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 113: Chapter 123 My Sister is Transferring to Nan’an

On Mu Xingfeng’s first official day back at work after his holiday, Liu Hu came to report.

At his level, he could have been assigned a bodyguard a long time ago, but he didn’t see the need for one. Besides, that kid Lin Junyang was always tagging along with him like a shadow, practically functioning as a bodyguard.

After Mu Xingfeng’s recent incident, Director Lu gave a direct order that he must be assigned a bodyguard.

Liu Hu was thrilled and spent quite a bit of time enthusiastically pledging his loyalty to Mu Xingfeng. His simple-minded appearance made him look almost foolish, but Mu Xingfeng knew that this was just Liu Hu’s exterior. He had a clear understanding of the capabilities of the people he had trained.

After Liu Hu left, Lin Junyang ran over, pushed the door open, and with a face full of despair, threw himself onto Mu Xingfeng.

”Boss, save me! I don’t want to leave you!”

Mu Xingfeng, with a look of disdain, pushed him away and frowned, ”Speak properly.”

Lin Junyang plopped into a chair, his face long, ”Do you know my sister is getting transferred to Nan’an? The order has already come through.”

He received this news from his father over the phone early this morning. It turned out that after Lin Ruonan’s last return to Imperial City, she had approached her father to discuss the transfer.

As the Chief Guard, Lin Weidong could issue a transfer order effortlessly, but he wasn’t too keen on his daughter chasing after Mu Xingfeng. His daughter, Lin Weidong’s daughter, was exceptionally outstanding. If she wanted, she could easily pick any of the young lads under his command.

But his daughter was stubborn. It wasn’t surprising, though—his daughter was twenty-four and already highly accomplished. It was rare to find such a distinguished team member at her age, except for Mu Xingfeng.

The most exasperated person was Old Mr. Lin. Just like his daughter, he had eyes only for Mu Xingfeng. Knowing that his granddaughter was getting transferred to Nan’an, Old Mr. Lin took the lead in issuing a command that she must join the same team as Mu Xingfeng.

There was nothing Lin Weidong could do about it—Old Mr. Lin was the person he feared most. As soon as the holiday ended, the transfer order followed.

”Hmm,” Mu Xingfeng lightly responded while looking at the file in his hand. He didn’t see an issue with Lin Ruonan transferring to Nan’an.

”Hmm? Boss, what do you mean by that?” Lin Junyang got anxious, stood up, and pressed his hands on the desk in front of Mu Xingfeng. ”Boss, do you know what it means for my sister to transfer to Nan’an?”

”What does it mean?” Mu Xingfeng leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, and asked cooperatively.

”It means I have to transfer back to Imperial City.”

The Lin Family only had two children, Lin Ruonan and Lin Junyang. Lin Weidong and his wife married late, almost at thirty, and lived apart after marriage without having children, which made Old Mr. Lin and Old Mrs. Lin, eager for grandchildren, very anxious.

Fortunately, Jiang Xinru came through, getting pregnant with twins soon after. When the pair of fraternal twins were born, Old Mrs. Lin was overjoyed. With Lin Weidong and his wife busy, she personally took care of the twins with the help of a nanny. She doted on her grandson Lin Junyang immensely, but eventually, Lin Junyang grew up... a bit wayward.

Lin Junyang was mischievous from a young age, fearing nothing and causing trouble everywhere. Not only were his grades poor, but all he did was fight. If he won, the other parents would come knocking, and his grandma would apologize. If he lost, he would take his grandpa’s guards to seek revenge, bullying almost every child in the compound.
