Reborn Divine Doctor: The Abandoned Girl's Legend

Chapter 202: Chapter 72: The Present World, Earth-level Spiritual Treasure

Seeing the Mirror Person suddenly erupt in anger, Yao Concubine struggled to rise.

Her lips were still tinged with a bright red, her hair disheveled, looking quite a mess; it was far from the appearance of Emperor Xia’s favored concubine during the day.

She didn’t understand, she had lost the competition, yet her master was not angry; however, when she produced the Red Pattern Hundred Fragrance Elixir, her master flew into a rage.

She just wanted to win; by that time, Ye Lingyue had already won two rounds.

”Idiot, not just anyone can refine the Red Pattern Hundred Fragrance Elixir. The master is worried that Old Man Long Yu might sense something amiss and start suspecting Beiqing,” Noble Princess Consort Luo said while glancing at Yao Concubine.

Every alchemist, especially those of a high level, always leaves their spiritual imprint on the elixirs they refine. Other advanced alchemists, upon seeing it, could easily recognize from whose hand the elixir came.

Yao Concubine glared at her and presented the Red Pattern Hundred Fragrance Elixir.

”Master, you can rest assured, I’ve used a special method to alter the appearance of this Hundred Fragrance Pill; Long Yu will absolutely not be able to identify that the elixir is from Beiqing.” Yao Concubine was also very cautious. Indeed, Master Long Yu did not suspect the origin of the elixir.

Only then did the Mirror Person’s anger subside.

But after looking at the elixir, with a ”whoosh,” it was sucked over, and after a moment, the Mirror Person softly expressed surprise.

The elixir suddenly exploded, turning into powder.

”Master?”

”This elixir is now useless. In the beginning, to let you infiltrate the Daxia Palace, when I refined the Hundred Fragrance Pill, I added a dose of ’Love Grass.’ But now, this herb has been erased; this Hundred Fragrance Pill is ruined,” the Mirror Person said in a grave voice.

Love Grass is a poisonous herb, refined and worn on the body, it can captivate the opposite sex and linger in their dreams; however, being colorless and tasteless, even advanced alchemists might not be able to recognize it.

Yao Concubine naturally had a seductive bone structure, and with the influence of the Love Grass, she had captivated Emperor Xia’s soul and haunted his dreams.

Neither Yao Concubine nor Noble Princess Consort Luo knew about the addition of the Love Grass to the Red Pattern Hundred Fragrance Pill.

The Mirror Person’s earlier outburst was not because he was afraid that Long Yu would uncover the true creator of the elixir. What he was worried about was someone discovering the Love Grass inside the Hundred Fragrance Pill.

Without the passionflower, Emperor Xia’s infatuation for Yao Concubine would eventually fade away, and his plan would be unable to proceed smoothly.

”Has anyone else seen this elixir, or has anyone else touched it?” The Mirror Person had already learned from Yao Concubine that Long Yu had not detected anything unusual in the elixir.

”Only the Empress Dowager, Emperor Xia... and Long Yu’s disciple, who took the elixir away to observe when she was competing with your disciple. However, she’s just a Fourth Rank Alchemist; if even Long Yu couldn’t spot the Love Grass, how could she possibly discover it?” Yao Concubine was full of skepticism. Besides, the other party had only borrowed the elixir for less than a quarter of an hour; how could she have had enough time to neutralize the effects of the Love Grass.

Not just Yao Concubine, even the Mirror Person found it hard to understand how, without damaging the elixir, the Red Pattern Hundred Fragrance Elixir

”A Fourth Rank Alchemist? Humph, Yao Concubine, you have still been too careless this time. Do you think that a Fourth Rank Alchemist could refine the exquisite Gathering Essence Liquid? Do not underestimate a First-grade elixir; an alchemist, who can be patient and refine the Gathering Essence Liquid countless times, is not to be scoffed at.” The perspective of the Mirror Person was not something that mere women like Yao Concubine and Noble Princess Consort Luo could compare with.

At present, she is only a Fourth Rank Alchemist, but given time, she may grow into another high-level Alchemist for Daxia, even reaching the status of a Fang Venerate.

At this thought, the Mirror Person couldn’t help but recall the man who, hundreds of years ago, once commanded great influence in Daxia...

”Master, please give your disciple one more chance to make amends.” Yao Concubine was beside herself with fear; she had not anticipated that a moment of carelessness on her part would ruin her master’s entire plan.

”Your Highness, please allow your concubine to handle this matter. The one called Ye Lingyue, she bears old grudges with your concubine as well. Now that she has become a Court Alchemist, she is even easier to deal with. As your concubine knows, she and Chief Chou’s favored disciple have longstanding disputes. Now that she abruptly became a Court Alchemist, Chief Chou will definitely not let her off.” Noble Princess Consort Luo took the opportunity to ingratiate herself.

”That’s right, Yao Concubine, your current main objective is to control Emperor Xia. As for other matters, Luo Wan can handle them. Since the Red Pattern Hundred Fragrance Elixir has been destroyed, and her Alchemy skills have surpassed you, it is no longer feasible to please Emperor Xia through Alchemy.” the Mirror Person commanded.

In the secret chamber, a wave of spiritual power fluctuated, and a black crystal star plate shaped like a round mirror suddenly appeared, floating in mid-air as if an invisible hand was controlling it.

Yao Concubine and Noble Princess Consort Luo were shocked at first, but then their faces were filled with both surprise and joy.

”Congratulations, Master (Your Highness), on advancing to a higher level of cultivation.”

The true body of the Mirror Person was tens of thousands of miles away. With just their spiritual power, they were able to transfer objects over such a distance, their cultivation had recently made a breakthrough.

”This is an Earth-level Low Grade Spiritual Artifact, the Star Shining Sky Plate, that I have just refined. It can absorb the Power of the Starry Sky. With your Sixth-rank Alchemist spiritual power, you can use it to predict the future and determine people’s fortunes. I entrust it to you. With it, you will undoubtedly be able to manipulate Emperor Xia at will, helping the Luo Family and the Crown Prince ascend to the throne. But remember, this item is extraordinary; do not probe too deeply into the heavenly secrets, or it will certainly backfire.”

After listening to the Mirror Person’s words, Yao Concubine and Noble Princess Consort Luo were overjoyed.

An Earth-level Low Grade Spiritual Artifact, with it, they could shake up masters above the Fifth Level of Reincarnation. As long as they did not stir up those two old fellows from the Hong Residence and Marquis Wu’s Mansion, it’s enough to deal with most of the people in the court.

”Thank you, Master. This time, your disciple will not disappoint your high expectations again,” Yao Concubine, seeing that her master did not press the issue further and had bestowed an Earth-level Spiritual Treasure, felt greatly reassured, and heaved a sigh of relief.

After bestowing the Star Shining Sky Plate, the mirror once again returned to normal.

At this time, the eastern sky was lighting up with the first light of dawn, and Emperor Xia was about to awake.

Having received the Star Shining Sky Plate, Yao Concubine, as if she had found a priceless treasure, happily returned to her sleeping quarters before Emperor Xia woke up.

Seeing Yao Concubine had received the Heavenly Mechanism Plate, Noble Princess Consort Luo’s heart was torn with both envy and hatred.

An Earth-level Spiritual Artifact, although only of Low Grade, was still rare even within the Daxia Palace.

But then she thought, controlling Emperor Xia, in the end, would benefit her and Crown Prince Hong, and so Noble Princess Consort Luo let it go.

”That little wench, she really hit it big. If it weren’t for the fact that Hong’er and I cannot use spiritual power, she wouldn’t have gotten such an advantage. To please His Highness, we must deal with that little wench Ye Lingyue as soon as possible.”

With this in mind, Noble Princess Consort Luo’s expression darkened, and she stepped out of the secret chamber.

”Someone come, summon Chief Chou to see me.”
