Transmigrating Into a Book, the Villain Becomes the White Moonlight!

18: Chapter 18 A SlapSu Bai finally refocused his gaze on the trembling Kamii Ta-no, repeating those two words as if delivering a final judgment:

”Kneel.”

Kamii Ta-no’s face turned ashen, his lips quivering. Humiliation and anger intertwined in his eyes, making him hesitate to bend those ”noble” knees.

However, Su Bai didn’t give him any time to hesitate or bargain.

Just as everyone thought he would speak again to threaten him, Su Bai moved.

He lunged forward, moving like a flash of lightning. His right knee, like a cannonball fired from its barrel, carried a fierce gust of wind as it slammed violently into Kamii Ta-no’s defenseless abdomen!

”Ugh—!”

Intense pain instantly seized all of Kamii Ta-no’s consciousness, his stomach churning violently.

Combined with the extreme exhaustion and oxygen deprivation from just finishing the five-thousand-meter run, his legs felt as if the bones had been removed. He could no longer support his body and, with a heavy thud, collapsed onto his knees on the Synthetic Track in front of Su Bai.

This sudden turn of events left everyone around them stunned!

The crowd, which had been cheering for the victory and buzzing with conversation, seemed to have their throats seized simultaneously. The noise came to a screeching halt, and the scene fell into a dead silence, leaving only Kamii Ta-no’s painful retching and heavy panting.

Lin Wan was the first to react, her heart nearly leaping out of her chest.

She rushed forward, grabbing Su Bai’s wrist and trying to pull him away with all her might, her voice filled with anxiety: ”Su Bai! That’s enough! Don’t cause any more trouble!”

Lin Wan was afraid Su Bai would seriously injure the other boy.

”So what if I cause trouble?” Su Bai frowned, his cold gaze moving from the kneeling Kamii Ta-no to Lin Wan’s face, which was etched with worry.

His eyes held no hint of regret or fear, only a kind of near-indifferent calm that Lin Wan couldn’t understand.

In this world constructed by novel logic with imperfect rules, Su Bai’s code of conduct was completely different from that of the native inhabitants.

”He’s an International Student! If this escalates and the school investigates, you’ll be in big trouble!” Lin Wan urgently lowered her voice, trying to wake him up to the reality of the consequences.

Moreover, in her eyes, the cause of this incident was ultimately Su Bai trying to defend her...

Su Bai seemed to see through her thoughts. A mocking smirk curled at the corner of his mouth, but he didn’t call her out on it.

He turned his gaze back to Kamii Ta-no, who was curled up on the ground, and spoke the coldest words in a tone that sounded almost like a negotiation:

”You don’t have to shout while kneeling. That’s fine.”

He paused, offering another option as if it were an act of charity:

”Let me give you three slaps, and we’ll call it even for the bet just now. What do you think?”

Kamii Ta-no clutched his abdomen, which felt as if his intestines were twisted together. Cold sweat poured down his forehead as he looked up, his eyes so poisonous they seemed to drip venom, glaring intensely at Su Bai.

But the situation was against him; at this moment, he didn’t even have the strength to stand up.

Compared to the bone-deep humiliation of kneeling, kowtowing, and shouting ”Dad, I was wrong,” it seemed that... getting slapped a few times was actually easier to accept for the sake of his pride.

Gritting his teeth, he squeezed a broken syllable from his throat and gave an extremely slight nod.

Having received his consent, Su Bai’s face remained expressionless.

He stepped forward again without any mercy, grabbing Kamii Ta-no’s sweat-soaked hair and forcing him to lift his contorted face.

”Slap—!”

The first slap was crisp and loud, like a clap of thunder exploding over the silent sports field.

The immense force sent Kamii Ta-no’s head snapping to the side. His left cheek swelled and reddened at a visible rate. The searing pain made his vision go dark, and he instinctively opened his mouth to cry out in pain or say something: ”I...”

”Slap!”

”Slap!”

However, Su Bai didn’t give him any chance to speak.

Immediately following, the second and third slaps landed on his face like heavy raindrops, each carrying the same ruthless force. They cut off all his unspoken words—whether they were pleas for mercy, curses, or something else.

No one knew what Kamii Ta-no actually wanted to say at that moment.

Everyone only saw that after the third slap landed, his head slumped weakly. His body swayed, his eyes rolled back, and he completely blacked out, collapsing onto the ground like a pile of mud, unconscious.

Just as Kamii Ta-no fainted and fell, the bell rang to announce the start of the lunch break.

Su Bai turned around, the terrifying coldness on his face already gone. He returned to his usual lazy demeanor and called out to Zhou Feng:

”Let’s go, time to eat.”

”Co... coming.” Zhou Feng quickly replied and jogged to catch up.

He glanced at Su Bai with lingering fear. This was the first time he had seen such a ruthless side of Su Bai, a far cry from the foul-mouthed but otherwise easy-going rich young master he knew.

The Su Bai from just now—grabbing someone’s hair and slapping them repeatedly with an indifferent gaze—perfectly overlapped with the lawless villainous playboys he had seen in TV dramas.

Watching the two of them walk away, Lin Wan stood there with mixed emotions.

A pile of things she wanted to say—about impulsiveness, about consequences, about gratitude or blame—ultimately turned into a silent sigh that weighed heavily on her heart.

She only hoped now that this storm, which had started because of her, wouldn’t bring real trouble to Su Bai.

The Cafeteria.

”Brother Su, those slaps you gave him were so cool! It was so satisfying!” Zhou Feng shoveled food from his tray, his spirits high once again.

Sitting across from him, Su Bai ate slowly and methodically, his gaze lazy, as if he had returned to his daily state of being uninterested in everything.

”Of course.” Su Bai raised an eyebrow, calmly accepting the compliment with a hint of nonchalance.

”But I really didn’t realize you were such a good runner,” Zhou Feng said, putting down his chopsticks, his face still full of disbelief. ”Kamii Ta-no is one of the top athletes on the School Team, and the five-thousand-meter run is his specialty. You actually managed to leave him so far behind? And... so easily?”

Recalling Su Bai’s effortless appearance after crossing the finish line, he felt like his worldview had been shaken.

Su Bai just smiled and didn’t offer a detailed explanation.

He knew very well that he relied entirely on the incredible endurance and recovery provided by that frustratingly practical [Immortal Kidney Body].

If not for this trump card, given his original personality, when he heard that gibberish at the classroom door, he probably would have just walked up and slapped the guy twice to vent. He wouldn’t have wasted time on a public showdown on the track.

”By the way, Brother Su,” Zhou Feng lowered his voice, a trace of worry appearing on his face. ”That guy is an International Student after all. Doing this... won’t there be any follow-up trouble?”

”No, don’t worry,” Su Bai answered nonchalantly.
