From Arsenal to the Ball God

In that match, their opponent would be the second place in Group C!

Judging by the current situation of Group C, it’s likely to be the Italy team or Croatia Team; it certainly won’t be the championship favorites, Spain Team.

This would greatly increase their chances of making it to the semifinals..... Once they reach the semifinals, the team’s mentality and all aspects would be different, making it easier to tackle strong opponents.

”Beautiful!!”

”Ciel.....! Ciel.....!”

”Cheers.....!”

France team’s players felt like it was New Year’s, their faces flushed as they raised their glasses to celebrate once again.

Ma’el soon felt a little tipsy, he took a moment to check the number of social media followers and found that his Twitter and Facebook followers had both surpassed 40 million.

The likes on his latest tweet also exceeded 1.1 million!

He smiled, wondering if he could achieve an even faster growth rate next year, aiming for 100 million followers on a single platform?

By then, wouldn’t he truly be one of the world’s most famous people?

Ma’el sent a message to Mendes on Facebook, asking how much he planned to increase the ad fee per post after this wave of popularity.

Mendes quickly replied - ”I’m waiting at the hotel entrance, come out after you eat, let’s take a walk and chat, heading back to Poland’s base tomorrow.”

——”Alright.”

He sent the message, looked up to see everyone raising their glasses again, and smiled as he raised his, ”Come on!”

...

After dinner, Ma’el arrived at the entrance, seeing Mendes in all black smiling at him, ”Been drinking?”

”Not much.” He shook his head, walked a couple of steps with Mendes, feeling the breeze make him a bit more sober.

This feeling was nice, after celebrating, walking on a quiet street with someone familiar and close, enjoying the serenity.

”105 million Euro.”

Mendes couldn’t help but glance at Ma’el, spoke happily, ”Just the small change could almost buy the you from two years ago, happy?”

Ma’el raised his eyebrows with a meaningful smile, then said, ”You must be happy too. There are just three players in European Football worth over 100 million, and your agency represents two.”

”Of course.” Mendes did not hide his joy, looking towards the sky, ”Isn’t this the pinnacle of my agent career that I’ve always expected?”

”This feels so good, I feel like I really have control over European Football, my influence is enough to cover the skies.”

”Haha.....!” The two laughed together, no matter what age, men with close friends will always suddenly have a moment of silliness.

Mendes walked a few more steps, with the laughter fading he said, ”You just asked about single post pricing, when I saw Transfermarkt I was certain, even if priced at 1 million pounds, someone would come forward.

”At least during the European Cup it’s like this, next season, whether the price goes up or down depends on Arsenal Team’s performance.”

million pounds..... Ma’el’s mouth and eyes showed satisfaction again, this was a milestone he had been dreaming about, officially reaching it on the day his value exceeded 100 million.

”Phew.....!” He let out a heavy breath, looked at Mendes unsure what to say, just shook his head and patted his shoulder to convey happiness.

”But there’s one thing.”

Mendes raised a finger, ”When the price of one of your posts is enough to buy a house in Central London, this sure changes things.

”You need to record videos and post them across all platforms, help brand partners advertise, including the accounts we help manage for you, of course, it’s not troublesome, just a video.”

”Yeah.” Ma’el raised his hands and smiled, ”A video for a house in Central London, who would find that troublesome?”

The two walked a few more steps, feeling the night’s tranquility and the vigor of moving upward in life, occasionally sharing a smile.

Mendes then asked, ”Being with you so long, I’ve noticed something; you don’t seem to care about money, right?”

Without waiting for Ma’el to answer, he continued, ”After succeeding in investing in Instagram, you didn’t rush to cash out, nor did you venture into other industries.

”That’s extremely unusual; logically, you should be confident in the financial market due to this success, thus investing more boldly.

”But you didn’t..... Yet what makes me uncertain is that you seem to care deeply about post pricing and endorsement fees, showing obvious happiness when they rise.”

Ma’el looked at the road ahead, smiled, having thought about this problem long ago, ”Shamelessly speaking, I really don’t seem to care much about money now, nor do I want to invest in other industries.

”In the football world, I feel I live so leisurely, so comfortably; here, I can get all the emotional value I want.

”So when I have a lot of money, I certainly wouldn’t want to branch out beyond football, distracting myself, not being able to properly enjoy football’s joy.

”I’m a simple person; if I must invest, it would be in a football team, not any other industry.”

A few more steps, he stopped, as he saw a lively little river, ”As for the happiness you mentioned, I might think it’s my value increasing? Doing well in my industry?

”Perhaps that’s it, value sometimes isn’t just money, but money measures it.

”This kind of improvement feels immeasurably better than just a big pile of money.”

”Why?” Mendes stopped too, joined Ma’el in gazing at the small river before them.

”Because.....”

Ma’el took his time answering, after thinking a long while, gave Mendes a smile, ”Because in this constant feedback, I deeply feel that I’m alive in this world.”

Mendes felt a shiver, glanced at Ma’el, always thinking there should be things he didn’t know about this person.
