From Arsenal to the Ball God

”An exclusive interview tonight?”

Before departure, Ma’el was in the room with Amelia and Peter, discussing the evening’s arrangements.

”Yes, it’s best to start the exclusive interview right after the match ends and release it in the evening.”

Amelia nodded with a smile, having looked forward to this interview for a long time. ”The peak interest in the Golden Boy Award is exactly around that time, making the interview more beneficial.”

”Alright.” Ma’el agreed, moving to the bed to organize the equipment needed for the match.

”Ma’el.” Peter kept watching him with a smile. The two hadn’t seen each other for a long time. ”Do you know how much the subscription numbers and ad fee quotes for the column have increased during this time?”

”I don’t know.”

Ma’el shook his head and said, ”I was just about to ask you about that. I imagine the increase must be substantial, right?”

”Yes.” Peter took out a data chart, seemingly prepared to show Ma’el. ”The subscription numbers for the column have reached 31,000, with an increase of 19,000!

”The ad fee quotes have also doubled... I assured you that I would turn revenue into profit within a year, and I’ve done it.”

Is it about £400,000 annually now?

Ma’el smiled, pleased with this achievement. ”Not bad. After this wave of interviews, I estimate another 50% increase.

”If this development continues, becoming a publishing house with an annual profit of £1 million by the end of the season is very hopeful.”

There was no hiding their conversation from Amelia. After going viral online, she had become the leading reporter of the company with considerable personal value. Peter had offered her a 2% option to keep her.

She too was now a shareholder of the company, just ranked behind the two.

”All thanks to you.”

Peter took a deep and satisfied breath, saying, ”I originally thought the press agency my father left me would be ruined in my hands, but I didn’t expect it to be revived because of your joining, and now I can see the hope of becoming a renowned press agency.

”I don’t know how to thank you; this has always been my life goal... but I seldom express it.”

Seeing him getting more emotional, Ma’el quickly smiled and interrupted, ”Alright, this benefits me too, we’re not strangers, so why talk about this?

”In the first year of investing, I have the hope of recovering all the money I put in, and then all the earnings will be pure profit.

”Moreover, with your increasing influence and exposure in the media, you can also help me campaign for the Golden Ball Award in the future.”

At this point, a bright idea flashed across his mind, and he asked, ”By the way, I want to open an Arsenal column, do you think it’s feasible?

”From time to time, invite one or more Arsenal players to come over, interview them, or have them stay together for some interesting activities and games.

”As long as I can ensure stability in terms of personnel, I assume you guys should be able to manage this column, right?”

Peter’s eyes instantly lit up, and he said breathlessly, ”Absolutely, we can definitely manage it!”

He realized that collaborating with a capable footballer to run a press agency was indeed a good idea. Look at these connections... creating an Arsenal series column was something he dared not dream of before.

Even some bigger media outlets than theirs dared not dream of this. Who can ensure that every invited player will come?

Ma’el can ensure it!

”Amelia.” Peter turned to Amelia and found her equally excited. ”I’ll leave the planning to you. Make sure to quickly provide me and Ma’el with a proposal.”

”Okay.” Amelia nodded excitedly. She would plan it, and of course, she would host the program.

This was also beneficial to her, both from a company and personal perspective.

Looking at Ma’el, she flattered with a smile, ”The boss is really impressive. Following you, I’ve gained quite a bit of exposure and life opportunities.”

”Alright.”

Ma’el felt a bit embarrassed, motioning for her to stop... He then thought about who to invite to get things started?

”How about.” He quickly came up with a good idea, looking at the two, ”starting with Mr. Wenger?”

”Great!”

”Yay!”

The two raised their hands in unison, their faces full of joy, as if they already knew the popularity the column would achieve after its release.

”What a clear day today.” Amelia came to the window, opened it, and smiled as she looked at the sky, wondering if it was because the sky really was clear or if her mood had brightened.

It should be the latter. After leaving Sky Sports and coming to ”Football Record,” Amelia originally thought her life was on a downhill path.

Unexpectedly, because of a ’promise’ made during an interview, and Ma’el’s adherence to the promise, she met her life benefactor.

Since then, her life had skyrocketed like a rocket, her career line flourishing!

Amelia couldn’t express how grateful she was to Ma’el. She only knew that for this younger brother, she would do anything.

Sometimes when she looked at Ma’el, she genuinely felt that he had an obscure glow about him, a glow that not only illuminated himself but also those around him, making many people become better versions of themselves.

”It really is a bit.”

Peter also came to the window, and the two of them breathed in the fresh air, full of hope for everything.

....

”Manchester City...!!”

At 2:30 in the afternoon, the club’s bus departed from the hotel, heading towards Etihad Stadium, encountering many shouting Manchester City fans along the way.

Ma’el curiously watched them. Although he had defeated Manchester City in the English League Cup, encountering them again today in the Premier League was an entirely new experience, especially since it was an away game.
