From Arsenal to the Ball God

After this round of matches, Ma’el has a nine-day break, with the next match against Aston Villa set to kick off on December 19th.

This may be the adjustment time given by The English FA for the dense schedule in the second half of the month, allowing players to get better rest during this period to avoid injuries due to fatigue during the mid-stage handover.

”Bang... bang... bang!”

Ma’el took advantage of this leisure to diligently practice aerial strikes and outside foot techniques on the field; both of these skills are just a breath away from an upgrade.

Once they both reach Level 4, he will have 4 Level 4 shooting abilities!

By then, his shooting techniques on the field will become diverse and unpredictable, making it difficult for opposing players to anticipate!

In fact, he already has quite a few aerial goals, and one with the outside foot, so he can frequently use these two skills to threaten goalkeepers during matches.

However, the success rate is not yet high..... this step from Level 3 to Level 4 is certainly a crucial one, representing the transition from excellent to top-tier!

On December 16th, the ability for aerial strikes was the first to complete the upgrade.

Ma’el’s body was imbued with a lot of muscle memory related to aerial strikes, as if he had received positive feedback from tens of thousands of successful attempts, becoming more proficient in everything.

[Skill: Mid-air Burst Shot Level 4]

[Skill Level: (1/2000)]

[Utility: After tens of thousands of refinements, you have an extraordinary grasp of aerial strikes, often able to deliver high-quality aerial shots with just a lift of your foot, even freely executing them during a run!]

It’s here!

Ma’el, with an excited face, began running on the field, shouting to Jose behind him: ”Send me a ball with a lead, just like Song often passes to Van Persie.”

”Bang!”

Jose said nothing, hanging his head as he kicked the ball, sending it towards Ma’el’s front.

Looking at the incoming ball, Ma’el judged its drop point, extended his body, pushed his chest forward while tightening his abdomen, lowered his center of gravity, and after a few more steps, raised his right leg to fiercely strike at the drop point of the ball.

”Bang!!”

The path of the ball quickly coincided with the path of his leg swing, the two forces merged and shot towards the top right corner of the goal.

At the moment of contact, Ma’el’s brain experienced an extremely comfortable sensation. This type of shot brings an extraordinary sense of pleasure and satisfaction, as if his instep fit perfectly with the ball.

This is the enhancement effect!

”Swoosh!”

The ball then grazed the underside of the goalpost and flew into the net, causing the net to shake violently, stretching the elasticity and flexibility of the net to its limits.

A burst shot!

”Beautiful!”

Across the way, Jose’s eyes lit up seeing this shot, thinking to strike while the iron is hot and strengthen Ma’el’s ability in aerial movements during play, ”Try again! Step back a bit, I’m going to pass!”

Unbeknownst to him, Ma’el’s aerial ability had already reached its fixed point, welcoming a significant enhancement.

”Bang!”

”Bang!”

”...

Ma’el did not refuse him and took advantage of the freshness and joy of the recent upgrade, running back and forth, launching a few more shots.

Without opposition and pressure, only one of these shots went over the crossbar, while the others achieved astonishing quality.

”Perfect!” Jose finally gave him a thumbs up, excitedly patting his shoulder, ”If you make such shots on the field, would the fans mistake you for Van Persie?”

”They won’t.”

Ma’el drank a cup of water, shook his head jokingly: ”I am more handsome and in better shape.”

”Hahaha.....!” Jose burst into laughter, pointing at Ma’el, ”I have no words to refute, but you’re really ruthless.”

After the day’s training, Ma’el shifted his focus to outside foot training, of course, without abandoning other abilities, continuing to practice them simultaneously.

On December 18th, the outside foot shooting also upgraded as expected, reaching Level 4!

[Skill: Outer Foot Curved Blade Level 4]

[Skill Level: (1/2000)]

[Utility: After mastering the outside foot arc, you gradually grasp the explosive power of outside foot shots, significantly increasing the shooting power, nearly approaching the Dipping Shot, resembling a Curved Blade!]

Curved Blade!

Greater power!

”Bang!”

Ma’el cut inside from the right side of the penalty area and, after bypassing a dummy, suddenly swung his arm and spun out an outside foot shot. Compared to before, his leg swing amplitude was larger, and he raised his leg higher.

During the shot, his body also made a small jump to enhance the explosive power.

”Swoosh!”

The ball, carrying intense rotation, smashed into the far corner of the goal, into the net.

”Although it still doesn’t have the power of a straight instep shot, it’s almost indistinguishable from the Dipping Shot!”

With a pleased look, Ma’el cut a few steps inside from the left wing and, with his left foot, spun an outside foot shot, still delivering a satisfying quality.

He discovered a long time ago that after enhancing his reverse foot ability, the progress of skill level was somewhat slower..... he must balance training with his left foot to achieve a faster improvement rate.

But the benefit is also clear: after all the techniques are upgraded, he directly possesses the strength of Four-Star Reverse Foot!

”Wait until there’s time in the future, I’ll upgrade the reverse foot, reaching Level 5, and there should be no difference compared to the right foot.”

Ma’el murmured with a smile, taking a deep breath as he sat down on the grass to look at the sky and rest for a while, feeling quite content.

By calculation, he already possesses 5 Level 4 shooting abilities: Heavy Cannon Strike Level 4, Curved Blade Level 4, Outer Foot Curved Blade Level 4, Mid-air Burst Shot Level 4, header timing Level 2!

His ball control ability includes 4 items: Dribbling Level 4, Rhythm Level 3, Fancy Dribbling Level 2, Fancy Techniques Level 1. If you also count the Single Bicycle Maneuver Level 3, Step and Shoulder Drop Level 3, there are 6 special skills.

Besides that, passing also includes 2 items: Curved Trajectory Guidance Level 4, Foot Arch Arc Level 4!
