From Arsenal to the Ball God

Chapter 297: Chapter 93: Derby Victory! Ma’el’s Precious Gift! Lifelong Inspiration! [1/3]

The two minutes passed quickly, and the referee put his whistle to his lips, blowing three long whistles.

Finally, this Premier League 7th round focal battle came to an end.

Arsenal won the derby match and took all three points at White Hart Lane!

”Beautiful!!”

”Oh.....!”

”Arsenal! Arsenal! Arsenal!!”

”Ma’el! Ma’el!”

”Ramsey!”

Once again, the cheers of the fans echoed through the venue, and all the Arsenal players ran around White Hart Lane celebrating.

Ma’el raised his hands high, immediately looking to the position of the Tottenham substitutes on the sidelines.

No surprises now!

The opportunity has arrived!

Adebayor kept glancing at him from the corner of his eye, feeling guilty as he collected his belongings, preparing to make a quick exit.

How could he give up this opportunity? He ran along the left side, placing his left hand next to his left ear, chanting as he ran: ”Come on! Shh!”

Jump to the end!

He did it!

They secured the derby victory!

Adebayor stopped packing and glared angrily in Ma’el’s direction, but was soon pulled away by Kyle Walker as he left the field.

Kyle Walker wasn’t idle afterward, standing behind Ma’el as he walked onto the field, feeling a mix of emotions.

He wanted to exchange jerseys with his old teammate but thought about the mutual banter and fierce competition during the match, and seeing Ma’el’s current demeanor, he questioned whether this act was appropriate.

”Jersey swap?”

To his surprise, Ma’el turned around with a genuine smile, putting everything behind him.

Kyle Walker nodded somewhat dumbfounded, clenching his fist behind his back, still grappling with awkward and complex emotions.

”Not today.”

Ma’el smiled, shook his head, and extended his right hand to Walker, explaining, ”I’ve already decided who to give the jersey to. When you come to the Emirates Stadium in the second half, we’ll swap then.”

”Alright.....” Kyle Walker and Ma’el shook hands before turning to walk towards the players’ tunnel; the field was no longer theirs.

”Hey.” Ma’el stopped him, showing a bright expression and waving, ”Sorry, I hope you keep improving. If possible, I hope we can fight side by side once again.”

Kyle Walker suddenly froze as he watched Ma’el turn away, remembered what Ma’el said, and felt the contrast between his treatment of others and himself.....

Somehow, he was genuinely moved, wanting to be on the same team as such a genius.

He could play both left-back and right-back, considering standing behind Ma’el, sprinting alongside him on the left side, it would indeed be a beautiful thing.

Or one covering defense and the other offense, that would be a great partnership too.

Shaking his head, Kyle Walker temporarily set this idea aside, giving Ma’el one last look before heading off the field.

Better not to overthink now, and see how his former teammate has developed..... while he remains stagnant.

Need to look up to Ma’el and strive for top-level and champion achievements!

...

”Clap clap clap.....!” Amid the enthusiastic applause and attention of Arsenal fans, Ma’el clapped his hands as he approached the stands, searching for the four people involved in the charity activity while giving thanks to the crowd.

Today marked the first match for which he had given them tickets, and it had been such an important and victorious game, undeniably worth commemorating.

He had long decided to give his jersey and boots to the other two who didn’t receive his gift, then embrace all four and share some honor from today’s triumph.

He knew this would be a significant encouragement to them.

It’s that saying again, as the lucky one, if given the chance, he could share some of his fortune with the unfortunate.

Many things were insignificant to him, but for others, they were immensely precious.

”Ma’el!”

”Here!”

As Ma’el approached the railing, he immediately received a hero’s reception, with hundreds of Arsenal fans enthusiastically crowding around, reaching out trying to touch him.

Ma’el smiled and waved to these fans while his eyes darted around, searching for the four individuals.

He first saw Chloe, whose appearance stood out prominently among the crowd; the second was David, who also had some distinctive features.

”Come on! Come here!”

He waved to the two, signaling them to come to his side.

This scene led all Arsenal fans to look toward the positions of the two, initially unclear who Ma’el was calling.

Even Chloe and David weren’t sure at first, hesitantly standing in place, awkwardly pointing at themselves awaiting confirmation.

They couldn’t imagine that at the end of this celebratory moment after the match, today’s hero would come to the sidelines, calling them over.

”It’s you two.”

Ma’el chuckled and called out directly, ”Chloe, David, come over here.”

The cheers from the stands softened slightly, as many fans recognized Ma’el’s calling. When they saw Chloe and David walking down the stairs toward the railing, they made way.

In the aisle crowded with people on both sides, Chloe walked down like on a red carpet, her face flushed red, never having received such treatment in her life.

She smiled sweetly, and as she continued to smile, her eyes involuntarily watered, tears of excitement surged forth, leaving her face covered.

David wasn’t faring much better; he was quite afraid of others’ gazes, walking awkwardly, yet there was a distinct emotion encouraging him, negating all negative sentiments.
