From Arsenal to the Ball God

Chapter 282: Chapter 88: Stopping the Ball Upgrade! The Derby Arrives! Fabregas’s Interview! ”King!”_2

Many of them will include Arsenal in their prayers, hoping this team suffers a stroke of bad luck.

”Trash! Worst team in All England!”

The Arsenal fan group quickly joined the cheering activities, chanting the club’s anthem as they came.

Despite the team’s average performance in recent years, they still have an inherent sense of superiority when facing Tottenham Hotspur.

This gives them confidence and a sense of anticipation; everyone hopes the team can thrash Tottenham in the derby match.

”You’re the filthiest team! You have no faith, no championships since the millennium; qualify for the Champions League first!

”Redknapp stole the 09-10 Best Manager award from Ancelotti. Tottenham are just bandits!”

It’s hard to say why they sang with such coordination; maybe they planned it on social media in advance or organized it again in the pubs.

Or perhaps this melody has long been ingrained in everyone’s mind, and as long as they pair it with a few singable lyrics, even without rhyming... they can quickly mock the opponents in tune.

”Hish hish... hish hish.....!”

At two in the afternoon, as the fans from both teams ignited white and red smoke flares, the scene gradually heated up while adding some chaos.

”Bang!”

”Bang bang!”

”Ouch!”

Small-scale clashes broke out among the extremist fans in several locations, and soon, someone with a bruised and swollen face got taken away by ambulance, heightening the tension on both sides.

Occasionally, itchy-handed individuals would mix into the smoke-filled crowd, wearing the jerseys of opposing teams, slapping and punching the opposing fans, mostly landing a punch and then fleeing.

If caught, the consequences would be quite severe.

”Woo woo.....!” Police cars and motorbike squads quickly mobilized, with several mounted officers riding high horses charging into the crowd, driving fans from both sides apart, reminiscent of the victory celebration on Ogriff’s great day.

...

Spain, Barcelona.

Fabregas had invited the entire Barça team to his home for a gathering today, also inviting media reporters... and a director to shoot a documentary, recording his journey of returning to his mother club.

In the camera, Barça’s ensemble exuded an extraordinary aura, both elegant and joyous; this was the pinnacle period of the Dream Three dynasty.

”After joining the team, you’ve mostly come off the bench. Do you feel Barça is somewhat undervaluing you?”

On the second floor, Fabregas, donned in Barça’s jersey, was giving an interview to reporters, though these weren’t the questions he wanted to hear.

A flicker of avoidance appeared in his eyes; only after turning and seeing no Barça players nearby did he reply, ”No, I love collaborating with Guardiola, love everything here.

”Every player needs an adaptation period, and I am in that phase right now... don’t forget, I’ve already scored 5 goals and 3 assists; things are getting better.

”I think I can achieve significant accomplishments here; you must know, at the beginning of the season, we already claimed two championship trophies.

”Real Madrid was defeated by us in the Spanish Super Cup, and Porto in the European Super Cup; the team remains unbeaten over 11 matches, scoring 41 goals, which is an overwhelming offensive performance.”

After he finished speaking, the reporter slightly nodded, continuing, ”But I heard from authoritative media that Guardiola will leave Barcelona after this season to head to the Premier League.”

Fabregas momentarily flashed a restless look, unwilling to face such questions, swiftly retorting, ”There is no authoritative media, and you’re not one, understand?”

He turned to look aside, asking, ”Can someone else ask questions?”

The documentary director looked at him, pursing lips and shaking his head; if Fabregas was going to react this way, why didn’t he say it before filming started? He could have directed and acted entirely by himself.

Suppressing his anger, Fabregas turned back, feeling like sitting on pins and needles.

He turned on the TV, switching to the Premier League broadcast channel, awaiting the start of an important match.

”Arsenal will face Tottenham at White Hart Lane today. It’s been many months; can you recount the truth of that day? Did Ma’el and Gilbert really hit you?”

Seeing the TV, the reporter diverted attention, steering the topic to Arsenal, ”Why didn’t you fight back? Why didn’t you run away?”

Fabregas remained silent, staring at the reporter, preparing for the documentary director to edit out this part later.

”Gilbert has already scored 3 goals and 1 assist in this Premier League season, performing exceptionally well.”

This reporter continued to press, just to provoke Fabregas’s anger, ”Not to mention Ma’el, this player regarded as the new hope by Arsenal fans, by February this season, has scored 10 goals and assisted 6 across all competitions, an unusually impressive efficiency.

”Oh, and you said you’ve scored 5 goals and 3 assists this season... Ma’el has been 5 goals and 3 assists for two consecutive months.”

Fabregas finally could not bear it anymore, glaring at the reporter, ”What does that represent? He is a forward player, and I am a midfielder.

”He has more freedom to shoot and attacks more focused, which I do not have; my goals and assists are self-earned.

”Plus, Premier League defenders are unfamiliar with him, and everyone in the team is feeding him easy chances; his two months of arrogance aren’t going to last.”

He knew there were many unreasonable aspects of his words, but when facing adversaries, rarely do people keep calm.

In most cases, once you open your mouth, it carries slander and aggression... even if you’re usually an outwardly gentle person.
