Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Someone worriedly said, ”The snow is getting heavier, and the road conditions are getting worse.”

”Everyone, please rest assured, Mr. Trevino is absolutely safe.” Simon reassured everyone, ”As for what he’s doing, I really don’t know. He went out in the morning saying he’d be back by noon.”

Someone was puzzled, ”Mr. Trevino is always punctual, that’s why we’re worried something might have happened.”

”Yeah, I’m really worried too.” Someone clutched their heart, ”It’s mainly because the road conditions are bad.”

”There have already been more than a dozen traffic accidents reported today...”

”Sigh, as long as he returns safely, waiting a little longer doesn’t matter.”

”Simon, why don’t you call him again?” Someone still wasn’t reassured.

Simon was actually not most worried about Mr. Trevino’s safety, because Mr. Trevino exuded a sense of security; he was an adult and could take care of himself.

Simon was most worried about delaying the meeting further; the meeting with Camille at 3 PM would have to be postponed. As one of the top ten female business executives globally, Camille was decisive and her schedule was very tightly controlled, with almost no gaps.

So, Simon dialed Mr. Trevino’s number again, risking being reprimanded.

This time there was no rejection. Trevor, in Janelle’s bedroom in the small villa, had just helped organize all her dolls, perhaps in a good mood, answered, ”I’ll start the video conference for you guys right away.”

”Boss, you have a meeting with Camille at three this afternoon, haven’t forgotten, right?” Simon quickly said, fearing he’d hang up.

”I haven’t forgotten, I received her reminder text, there’s still time.”

Simon breathed a sigh of relief. If Mr. Trevino didn’t come and he had to handle Camille himself, he feared he’d be torn apart.

As he hung up, Janelle’s first words were, ”Are you going to do the video conference on your way back? That’s really dangerous! Don’t joke with your life!”

From her tone and expression, Trevor could feel worry and care, ”Don’t worry, I’ll be careful.”

With that, he looked at the completely empty storage box and advised, ”Don’t throw it away; next time we can get more to fill it up.”

Indeed, all the dolls fit perfectly into one storage box, leaving an empty one.

Janelle gazed at him, seeing the touch of gentleness in his deep eyes, and she smiled, nodding, ”Okay.”

She came closer, took off the jacket from her shoulders, stood on tiptoe to drape it over him, just like he had put a coat on her in the snow.

The gentle touch of her fingers lingered on his neck, she said to him, ”Be safe on the road.”

Trevor nodded, ”I’ll get going then, you don’t need to see me out.”

The girl stopped, watching his figure disappear at the doorway. As Trevor drove away, Janelle stood by the window watching.

She was happy, yet felt a tinge of reluctance, with a strange feeling inside.

By this time, it was already past two, and Trevor was holding the video conference on his way back to the company. His thoughts were exceptionally clear, and he solved severe issues pinpointedly, with each remedial solution making the executives feel enlightened.

In fact, Trevor had been analyzing until 3 AM last night.

No one’s success comes easily, it’s just that nobody sees the effort they put in.

At three in the afternoon, in a luxurious reception room of The Dalton Group.

As the door swung open, a strong jasmine fragrance swept through. The Freyne woman, wearing a strapless dress in the middle of winter, tossed the mink draped over her shoulders to the assistant beside her and strutted in, swaying on her high heels.
