Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Trevor was also a bit puzzled, so he followed and got out of the car.

In the yard, Nathan Mills looked up at them as they walked in, ”Trevor? Janelle?” A smile of joy again appeared on his slightly wrinkled face.

It’s been some time since he last saw his daughter.

”Dad, what are these?” The girl bent over to have a look, the entire yard was filled with roses??

”Roses.” The middle-aged man replied happily, ”These are all different varieties of roses.” He could even imagine the scene of a profusion of blooms a few months later.

Trevor saw two words: romantic.

Janelle was quite perplexed, she was a beat slow to react, ”Why suddenly start planting roses? It’s not even time to retire yet? And such a large project too.” It was simply overwhelming.

Old Mills smiled awkwardly, for a moment he didn’t know what to say, there were some things he didn’t want to talk about, just wanted to do first.

Trevor remembered the chat from that night, as if he saw through something, so he leaned over to the girl’s ear and whispered, ”He might be doing this for your mom, does your mom like roses?”

Janelle was momentarily stunned, then her eyes lit up, but before she could say anything, the phone in her pocket started ringing.

She took it out and saw it was from Carlotta Sterling, and because she was at her dad’s house, she couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty, not daring to answer.

Nathan Mills also saw something from his daughter’s expression, and as the ringtone continued, he guessed it was Carlotta Sterling calling, so he bent down and continued attending to his seedlings, staying silent.

Trevor, tall and slim, was also helping Uncle Mills with the plants, neither man intending to speak.

Janelle understood and swiped her finger over the answer button, ”Hello, Sister Sterling.” She didn’t deliberately avoid it.

”Why didn’t you pick up the phone for so long? What are you doing? Who are you with?” Carlotta Sterling’s distrustful voice came through, a bit displeased, ”Come back quickly.”

”I’ll be back soon, on the road, is there something up?”

”Of course there’s something, I’ve looked at a house, planning to buy it in your name, you need to come and sign.”

”Oh, okay.” Janelle didn’t argue with her here, she just felt puzzled, living in her dad’s house, was she thinking of moving out every day?

In fact, her father hadn’t gone there at all, let alone disturbed her, so why was she doing this?

The call ended, the daughter looked towards her father, and he stopped what he was doing to look at her.

Janelle looked at the large area of rose seedlings and said to her father, ”Dad, don’t worry, I’ll pretend I don’t know anything!”

Nathan Mills smiled awkwardly.

Her father could plant such a large area of roses for her mother, stay single for so many years for her mother, Janelle was very moved.

Then she looked at Trevor, ”I have to go back, my mom needs me for something.”

”Okay, I’ll take you.”

So, Trevor and Janelle waved goodbye to Nathan Mills.

In the car driving back, Trevor noticed Janelle seemed to have something on her mind, and asked her, ”What does your mom need you for?”

”She originally lived in the house my dad arranged, my dad never bothered her, yet she’s planning to buy a house in my name, wants me to go sign.” Janelle really couldn’t understand, thinking of her father’s actions, she felt a bit sorry for Old Mills.

Trevor was silent for a few seconds, then turned and asked, ”So what do you think...?”

”Since they’re both single now, of course, I hope they can reconcile, isn’t that the biggest wish as a child?”

”Mm-hmm.” On this point, Trevor supported her and would help her, so the house shouldn’t be bought, and Janelle’s mom shouldn’t move out.

Tomorrow will continue with updates, don’t wait tonight, sorry
