Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Although it was a snowy day, Trevor’s driving skills were still very good.

”Brother, are we almost there?” Ethan Dalton peered through the car window and saw the children at the gate of the large courtyard not far away.

They must be his new friends, right?

”Almost there, just up ahead.” Trevor turned and looked at him, warmly reminding, ”Ethan, make sure to greet them actively.”

Sitting next to Janelle Mills, holding a bag of gifts, Ethan Dalton couldn’t help feeling a bit nervous as he feared strangers.

Being lonely for a long time and rejected for a long time easily leads to social anxiety.

This was a lingering effect left by his birth mother, Joan Graham, and his sister, Sean Dalton. He had once tried so hard to please them, yet received not a hint of warmth.

The Maybach slowly drove into the courtyard of the orphanage, and the children clapped their hands excitedly, making way, ”Here they come! Finally, they’re here!”

The car came to a stop, and the door opened. Trevor and Janelle Mills were the first to get out.

”Janelle!”

”Janelle, long time no see!”

”Good morning! Janelle!”

The children were especially enthusiastic, each of them jumping with joy. Even the child with leg impediments had a happy smile on his flushed face.

”Hello kids, Dianna, Wendy, Joy, Sabina, Mina... Hey, how are you?” Janelle Mills greeted them warmly, ”Today I’m introducing a new friend to all of you!”

Although she wasn’t there often, she frequently connected via video to encourage the children, so she could still recognize them.

The children were very eager and liked new faces.

Janelle Mills turned to bring Ethan Dalton out of the car, with pure white snowflakes falling onto their shoulders and hair, swirling gently.

At this time, Harlan Quinn also emerged from the house, ”Miss Mills!” He wore a grateful smile when he looked at Trevor.

”Hello, Uncle Quinn.” Janelle Mills protected Ethan Dalton in her arm, closed the car door, and held his little hand, ”Let me introduce, this is Trevor, my friend. And this is the orphanage director, Mr. Harlan Quinn.”

”Hello, Director.” Trevor had heard of his deeds and admired him greatly.

”Hello, Mr. Trevor; thank you for coming from afar!” Harlan Quinn wore a black wool coat, with the collar turned up.

Trevor felt that this man’s mental state and inner cultivation made him infinitely charming, despite his age.

”Ethan, come, first greet Uncle Director.” Janelle Mills knelt beside Ethan Dalton, holding his small shoulders, patiently guiding him.

She had already discussed Ethan Dalton’s situation with Harlan Quinn over the phone.

Harlan Quinn squatted down, looked kindly at the special little boy in front of him, gave him an encouraging look, and patiently waited for him to speak.

Ethan Dalton was afraid of strangers, looking towards Harlan Quinn’s gaze while tightly gripping Janelle Mills’ hand, taking quite a while to finally force out a sentence, ”Hello, Uncle Director.”

The voice was very small, but because the surroundings were very quiet, all eyes fell on his face, so Harlan Quinn could still hear it clearly.

”Hello, Ethan!” Harlan Quinn delightedly and amicably patted his little head, ”Ethan is great!” Then he focused on the bag he was carrying, ”This is... a gift?”

The orphanage children lined up behind the director, various heights, quietly watching Ethan Dalton.

The children also knew his situation, today to befriend him, to play with him, to integrate him into their group.

”Ethan, now I’m introducing you, make sure to listen carefully, and then give your gifts to your new friends, okay?” Janelle Mills patiently guided.

Because she loved Trevor, she naturally extended her love to Ethan Dalton.
