Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

”Careful!” Trevor quickly held onto her arm and steadied her.

Janelle Mills turned her gaze.

He said to her, ”I’m fine, it really doesn’t hurt, don’t worry.” His lips curled into a smile, and Trevor’s voice was as gentle as his eyes.

But her brows furrowed, and she hastily pulled his hand away. ”Oh gosh, seriously!” She began rummaging around, blurry-eyed, searching for the first aid kit.

She was worried sick, almost on the verge of tears.

In places like these inns or B&Bs, every room should have an emergency medical kit, right? It can’t be lacking here, can it?

Watching her anxiously search for the kit, Trevor didn’t feel the pain at all, his gentle gaze falling on the girl’s silhouette.

He was savoring the moment of being worried over and cared for.

”Here it is! Finally found it!”

She pulled out a first aid kit from the large drawer under the TV cabinet and hurriedly brought it to the coffee table.

Then she knelt down in front of the sofa, urging as she opened the kit, ”Come sit over here, why are you standing? Let me stop the bleeding first, quickly take off your clothes!”

Trevor pressed his thin lips together, raised an energetic brow, and went back to sit in front of the sofa. Fine, let him enjoy being taken care of for once.

But, would she really?

”What are you doing just standing there? Hurry up and take your clothes off! It’s still bleeding!” Janelle was very worried about his injury, quickly turning her gaze to look at him, ”If it’s very serious, we might need Dr. Shelby to stitch it up.”

”Do you think he’s in the mood to stitch me up right now?”

”Even if he isn’t, he has to do it. He’s a doctor, and there’s no hospital nearby, at most just a few pharmacies. Can’t just watch you bleed to death, right?” Janelle retrieved the bleeding stopper and cotton.

Trevor undid his buttons, suppressing the awkwardness, and took off the bloodstained shirt. He sat sideways, with his back facing her.

Janelle held the absorbing cotton and got up, even from just the back, his breathtaking physique was undeniable, impossible to hide.

She was genuinely stunned for a moment, this physique... well-toned and fair, muscle definition so perfect?

The room was exceptionally quiet.

Noticing she hadn’t moved for a while, Trevor realized she was distracted, ha, women are indeed all starry-eyed.

He turned his gaze towards her, deliberately asking, ”What’s wrong? Is my wound not serious enough, healed automatically?”

”Ah, no, no, no!” She snapped back to reality, one knee on the sofa, and quickly helped him gently wipe away the blood, ”How could it have healed? It’s still oozing blood, but it’s not very deep.”

The wound was estimated to be three centimeters wide.

Janelle tossed away the blood-soaked cotton, picked up her phone to take a photo, and showed it to him, ”Not very deep, but it needs disinfecting to prevent infection.”

Trevor took the phone, zoomed in to look at the photo, ”Hmm.” This little wound was nothing he worried about.

Janelle began applying pressure to stop the bleeding, her technique surprisingly skilled, beyond Trevor’s expectations, ”Have you studied medicine?”

”No.” She replied while stopping the bleeding, ”The innkeeper certainly is meticulous, this Qi Li powder works best to stop bleeding, I’ll disinfect it first, sprinkle some and it’ll stop quickly.”

Trevor put down the phone and asked curiously, ”You haven’t studied medicine, how do you know about these?”

”Being alone outside often, you naturally encounter issues, bumps and bruises are unavoidable, it’s basic survival skills.”

Trevor fell silent, feeling a bit sorry for her, being out alone often?

Though she seemed carefree, surely she’s been through plenty of hardship?

Nominally with her mother, but her mother might not be fulfilling duties, having such a large company to manage.

Janelle applied the bleeding stopper, couldn’t help but gently bring her lips close to his wound and softly blow to alleviate his pain.
