Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1044: Chapter 1044: Such a Coincidence This Afternoon

”Justin Kingston, you’ve pushed me to the brink. Now you want to talk about mercy?” Sean Dalton sneered, ”This is our Dalton family matter. You have no right to intervene!!”

But Justin Kingston retorted directly, ”Well, does my wife’s matter warrant intervention then?”

Sean Dalton was rendered speechless!

”Friendly reminder, by four o’clock this afternoon.” With that, Justin Kingston hung up, feeling disgusted with every extra second the call went on.

Meanwhile, Joan Graham had already brought a few assassins back into the city.

The phone rang. Her daughter was calling, but she declined the call and turned off her phone.

Today’s matter had nothing to do with her daughter!

She was determined to kill Stella Dalton with her own hands!

The car quickly stopped at a relatively concealed spot outside The Dalton Group.

The car window closed; from the inside, they had a clear view of the outside.

These people, including Joan Graham, just stared intently at the company’s entrance, waiting for Mia Lane to come out so they could seize the opportunity to strike.

Meanwhile, back at home, Sean Dalton was at a loss, feeling anxious because he couldn’t reach his mother by phone.

The afternoon sunshine gradually hid away, with the cold-toned gray-white clouds pressing lower and lower. A storm was brewing...

Several hours later, with eyes fixed on the clock past four, and his mother still not home, Sean Dalton had no choice but to drive out.

In the kitchen, Butler Warren held the menu prepared by Mr. Dalton and instructed the chefs to prepare a sumptuous dinner.

Five o’clock in the afternoon.

The sun was hidden behind thick clouds, and the wind was growing stronger as dusk approached.

Around six o’clock.

Mia Lane received a call from Justin Kingston, who told her, ”Honey, I have an impromptu meeting that will take about an hour. Are you off work yet?”

”Pretty much, it’s about to rain, so everyone’s getting ready to leave early.”

Justin Kingston asked, ”Are you heading back to the Dalton house with your dad?”

”Yes.”

”Good, then I’ll come over a bit later. I had Finn Morgan buy a gift for visiting, as it’s my first formal visit.” Justin Kingston was quite well-mannered; he wouldn’t take her father lightly.

Mia Lane was quite pleased, ”That’s very thoughtful of you; you carry on with your work.”

”Isn’t this expected? No need to be polite,” Justin Kingston chuckled, ”Explain to President Dalton that I’ll be there a bit later.”

”Alright.”

Just as she hung up the phone, David Garcia appeared at the office door, ”President Lane, esteemed designers, it’s likely to rain. Everyone should head home early.”

”Thank you, President Dalton, for your concern.”

Soon, Mia Lane packed up her things, and David Garcia joined them in the elevator.

”Yellow warning, a storm is coming. It’s better to go home early,” David Garcia said, ”The rain could be so heavy that driving might be difficult and dangerous.”

”Yes, thank you, President Dalton.” Everyone felt a warm sense of comfort.

They had originally planned to leave together, but as they left the elevator, a senior officer approached David Garcia, whispering something serious in his ear.

Mia Lane noticed a slight sternness on her father’s face, but when he looked at her, his expression was full of kindness, ”President Lane, I have something urgent. Could you wait for half an hour? It won’t take long.”

At this moment, Edie took Mia Lane’s arm, ”President Lane can come with me! I’m just heading to The Kingston Group. Since CEO Kingston isn’t here to pick her up, he must be busy too!”

At this moment, Mia Lane also said to David Garcia, ”I’ll come later with Justin Kingston to visit you. You go ahead with your work; I’ll go with Edie.”

He understood, knowing Justin Kingston was coming to the Dalton house as well.

So, David Garcia slightly lifted the corners of his mouth, nodding, ”Alright, I’ll wait for you two.” Then he looked at Edie, gratefully saying, ”Thank you, Edie.”

”No worries! It’s on the way!” Edie linked arms with her and left, ”Let’s go, President Lane!”

As Mia Lane walked out, she took out her phone, about to call Justin Kingston, only to receive a message from Joan Graham—

”Stella, there’s a small alley 150 meters to the left of the company. Auntie would like to have a brief chat with you, hoping you can come.”
