Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1031: Chapter 1031: Ethan Dalton Likes Mia Lane

”Little one, how are you feeling?” Mia Lane smiled brightly and asked softly with concern, ”Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere? Tell Auntie, okay?”

Perhaps it’s because she has a child of her own, when she meets a child about the same age as her son, she never refers to herself as ’sister’.

Just like the kids in Sunshine Village, they have always called her Auntie Mia, and she has long gotten used to it.

Ethan Dalton showed no expression, staring blankly, thinking this young lady was so beautiful, so kind, just like an angel.

The young lady’s smile was gentle, her voice pleasant, something he deeply desired in his heart.

At this moment, the little boy’s eyes were all on Mia Lane, ignoring Justin Kingston.

Justin Kingston helped him up, then picked him up across his waist, saying to the two women beside him, ”Let’s go up first, it’s windy by the river and easy to catch a cold.”

”Okay.” Then everyone started walking toward the riverbank.

The partner took off a thin coat and draped it over Mia Lane.

”Thank you.”

”You were so brave,” she praised, ”I was almost scared to death just now. I’m most afraid of water, from childhood to now I’ve been careful to avoid drowning, I always walk around when I see a river.”

Mia Lane said, ”I can swim too, if I couldn’t, I definitely wouldn’t have jumped. Maybe it’s because Gigi and Dolly weren’t around, I always feel like helping when I see a child in trouble.”

”You’re naturally kind, and ever since becoming a mother, your maternal instincts have overflowed.”

Mia Lane smiled, ”It’s not that much.” As she walked, she squeezed the water droplets from her hair, ”I just hope that if my child faces danger or hardship, there will be someone willing to help. This can be considered a good deed for my child.”

They reached the riverbank, and the partner bid her farewell, ”You all carry on, I have a meeting this afternoon, I have to head out early. Get in the car quickly and take refuge with the air conditioning.”

”Okay, take care on the road.” Mia Lane wanted to return the coat to her.

But she smiled and said, ”Keep it on. It’ll help soak up some water. Bye-bye!”

”Bye-bye.”

Mia Lane opened the car door, and Justin Kingston carried the child inside.

Ethan Dalton was the same height as Gigi.

There happened to be two sets of Gigi’s clothes in the Lamborghini’s trunk, so Mia Lane hurriedly took a dry towel and clothes, got into the car, and gently dried him and changed his clothes.

She didn’t say a word, her movements were incredibly gentle, providing utmost care and affection.

Recalling the moment the little boy spread his wings and leapt, she suddenly felt a bit sad. How much grievance must he have endured?

Dying also takes courage.

Ethan Dalton stared at her without blinking; he was not very cooperative, but at least he didn’t resist.

He also didn’t say a word, inexplicably feeling a sense of closeness to this young lady, yet didn’t dare to get close.

Not used to interacting with strangers, today he seemed like a different person.

No matter what Mia Lane did to him, he didn’t feel afraid at all. He was like a puppet, showing no emotion.

Gradually, Mia Lane was slightly startled, she examined him, and with a doctor’s intuition, judged that this child was not just six or seven years old!

Then she saw him start drooling, despite his efforts to control it.

His eyes were not as bright and lively as those of normal children, and she felt a slight jolt in her heart; is there something wrong with this child?

”What’s the matter?” Seeing her pause for a few seconds, Justin Kingston asked, turning his head back from the driver’s seat.

Mia Lane quickly snapped out of it, ”It’s nothing.”

”There’s no clothes of yours in the car, I need to take you back for a hot shower first.” With that, he started the car.

”Okay.”

Justin Kingston withdrew his gaze, occasionally glancing at them through the rearview mirror.

As he kept watching, he also noticed something was wrong with the child, something not normal?

”What’s your name?”

Mia Lane sat beside the now-dressed Ethan Dalton, intentionally keeping some distance as she was soaking wet.
