Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1028: Chapter 1028: I Love You, I Love You More

Upon hearing this, Mia Lane felt utterly speechless!

What kind of filthy mind could come up with such an idea?

”She approached me too,” Mia told him. ”I was worried she might be stupid enough to tell the media, so I revealed my identity. That way, even if she tries to slander me through the media again, I’d just publicly acknowledge my father.”

”So even if she’s foolish, she wouldn’t bring up the affair anymore,” Justin Kingston couldn’t help but praise her, ”Turns out my wife is this smart.”

”Of course,” Mia said, ”One must learn to protect oneself, that’s a lesson learned through experience.”

”Has that experience taught you not to be soft-hearted towards bad people?”

Justin Kingston’s voice was gentle, chatting with her patiently as if playing with a pen in his hand.

Justin reminded her, ”When you think of letting Sean Dalton off the hook, just think more about Monica Usher.”

Anyway, he had no feelings!

He only loved his wife, and anyone who bullied her, he wanted to entirely eliminate them to prevent any future troubles!

”I understand.”

Mia knew he meant well, her lips slightly curled up, ”I never said I’d spare her, I just don’t want to act impulsively, everything needs careful consideration.”

”Hmm,” Justin understood as well.

”I also believe in the saying that ’Heaven deals with bad people.’ ” Mia glanced at the time on her wrist, ”Alright then, you can get busy, I just wanted to tell you that I have reunited with my father.”

”Okay, let’s arrange a meal together when there’s time,” Justin said, ”Mainly depends on his time.”

”Mm-hm, bye-bye.”

Justin felt a wave of affection, ”Bye-bye, love you.”

”I love you more,” Mia said with a smile on her lips, then hung up the phone.

Her words made Justin’s heart sweet as if it were filled with honey. Even though they had been married for so long and their child was already six or seven years old, he still felt like his heart was blossoming with young love.

Mia hung up the phone and left the office. Before leaving, she told Edie, ”I’m going out for a bit, if President Dalton asks, just say I’ll be back soon.”

”Okay, President Lane.”

She didn’t say what she was going to do, just took the elevator downstairs.

An imposing building with a grand lobby on the first floor, crowded with many reporters.

Sean Dalton, wearing a red evening gown, had striking red lips and exquisite makeup.

Surrounded by bodyguards and assistants, countless camera flashes illuminated her face, accentuating her surgically altered features to make her look even more beautiful.

Sean Dalton wore the practiced smile of a princess stepping off a stage production.

Using the most high-end skincare products, every inch of her skin was bright and fair.

Visual beauty is undeniable.

”Miss Dalton, will you be leaving the entertainment industry to become the successor to the family business?”

This was the question reporters cared about most and would ask whenever they got the chance.

But Sean Dalton always dodged the question with vague answers to avoid embarrassment.

”As the only daughter of the Dalton family, you’ve always been confident, right? Can I ask if there’s ever been a time when you’ve felt inferior?”

Another reporter pressed on, everyone waiting for her answer.

Ethan Dalton, who had followed along, was drooling, clumsily wiping it away with a handkerchief. Dressed neatly, he didn’t seem intellectually disabled at a glance, just like a seven or eight-year-old child.

He stood not far off, watching the girl on stage, thinking his sister was like a princess and wanting to play with her.

Soon, more reporters flooded in from the entrance, quickly engulfing little Ethan.

Being squeezed in the crowded group, the little boy was terribly frightened, finding himself stuck, inevitably getting knocked down!

His hand was stepped on by a leather shoe, ”... It hurts.” He said softly, struggling to pronounce, tears from the pain.

”Slow down! There’s a child here!”

”Make way! The child fell down!”

In the crowded throng, a reporter suddenly shouted.

Sean Dalton looked across upon hearing it, immediately seizing an opportunity to build an image of kindness and avoid answering sensitive questions.

So, she quickly walked down from the stage, ”What happened? Make way, let me see! Is the child badly hurt?”

When she managed to push through the crowd, she saw her brother sitting on the ground, tearfully staring up at her!

Sean Dalton’s chest tightened, but she didn’t immediately rush over, her eyes instead showing a strong warning!

That look was too familiar; the little boy was frightened into silence.

Sean Dalton’s public image was that of the Dalton family’s only daughter, she didn’t want the media to know she had an intellectually disabled brother! It would be too demeaning!
