Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 949: Chapter 949: Adding Insult to Injury

”I’ll call him.” Justin Kingston said, ”You take good care of Hailey.”

Before Finn Morgan could say thank you, Justin had already hung up.

He informed Ian Shelby as soon as possible, and Ian rushed to the hospital immediately.

Watching Ian enter the emergency room with his sophisticated medical kit, Hailey Hale’s heart was still trembling.

The image of her mother falling flashed through her mind, her mother lying in a pool of blood...

Such a cruel jump, can she still be saved?

The waiting process always feels long, and in the blink of an eye, it was already evening.

The tightly closed door finally opened!

”How is my mom?!” Hailey rushed over and grabbed Ian’s arms, ”Will she die?” As soon as she finished speaking, tears welled up in her eyes again.

Finn held her shoulder, looking at Ian nervously.

”She’s temporarily out of life danger, but she has multiple fractures and hasn’t woken up yet.” Ian said solemnly, ”Her head was injured, and there’s a possibility she might become a vegetable.”

Hailey once again heard the sound of her heart breaking, and she slowly opened her lips: ”Vegetable...”

How terrifying those three words are!

”No, she won’t.” Finn said firmly, holding her shoulder tighter, and said to Ian, ”Dr. Shelby, you must have a way, right?! This isn’t a terminal illness! She’s out of danger, so a miracle will happen, right?”

How can a doctor make such assurances?

But Ian comforted them, ”I’ll do my best.”

Hailey turned around and threw herself into Finn’s embrace, feeling every cell in her body in pain, ”We clearly found evidence for reduced sentence, we saw a glimmer of hope, so why choose to jump?”

Her world became dark once more.

If her mother truly became a vegetable, her father in prison, how would she live her future days?

Hailey couldn’t even bear to think.

Thankfully, Finn never left her side.

Over the next five days, Finn and Hailey stayed in the hospital room without leaving.

Paige hadn’t woken up yet, she had just been taken off life support today, lying on the bed with eyes closed, face pale.

Sunshine streamed through the clean glass window, shining directly on Hailey’s back, who sat in the chair by the bed, holding her mother’s hand.

In her heart there was a firm belief, ”Mom, you have to wake up, no matter how long it takes, I will wait for you.”

This girl seemed to have grown overnight.

Of course, she also looked more haggard, her face usually with some baby fat.

Sister May brought over some soup and meals, ”Young master, young miss, you need to eat more, food is strength, it’s useless if your own body is weak just worrying here.”

With Finn by her side, Hailey drank two bowls of soup and ate some rice.

She looked up at him, ”I’m sorry, Finn.”

The man was slightly taken aback, ”Why are you apologizing to me?”

”I just feel so sorry, for dragging you into this.” She said sincerely.

”We’re husband and wife, one and the same.” Finn told her, ”Did you forget the vows at our wedding? If we can’t get through such a little test, what are we talking about love for?”

”Your dad is my dad, your mom is my mom.” Finn’s eyes were filled with sincerity, ”I’ll do what I can.”

His words were like the first rays of sunshine at dawn, shining on her unsettled heart.

”Alright, don’t think about anything. Dr. Shelby will be here soon, and taking her off life support today is a major happy event, things are moving in a good direction.”

”I’m really worried about dad...” Hailey sighed lightly, ”I also don’t know how things are going with Justin.”
