Dungeon Corpse Stacker: I Absorb Everything to Become Ominous Monarch

The master underground foundry situated three levels beneath the foundations of District One hummed with a deep, bone-shaking vibration that drowned out every other sound in the cavernous chamber.

There was no smell of organic decay or stale air down in the primary minting vaults of Sector Zero, only the intense, cleansing aroma of purified ozone, superheated star-iron, and raw, highly concentrated mineral mana.

Massive hydraulic presses forged from titanium-tungsten alloy rose twenty feet into the reinforced concrete ceiling, their automated piston arms slamming downward with rhythmic, unyielding force to stamp out thousands of physical currency units every single minute.

Chief Quartermaster Miller stood beside the primary collection trough, watching as a steady stream of small, heavy rectangular ingots slid down a polished steel chute into lined iron crates.

The ingots were not forged from gold, silver, or paper pulp.

They were cast from a specialized alloy composed of refined obsidian ore harvested from the Zurich vault and stabilized mana crystal dust derived from the Tokyo Bay deep-water reserve.

Each individual cartridge glowed with a faint, steady pulse of deep violet light, containing an exact, tamper-proof measurement of pure physical energy that could be used interchangeably as industrial fuel, weapon charges, or absolute legal tender across the black-market networks of the world.

”The minting rate has reached two hundred thousand units per hour, Sovereign,” Miller reported, raising his voice slightly to cut through the heavy industrial roar of the hydraulic presses as Renan walked down the grated metal staircase into the vault. ”The automated foundry bays are operating at maximum capacity using the remaining reserves from our European and Asian shipments.”

Renan descended the final step onto the concrete floor, his dark woolen coat sweeping past his boots, his pale hands resting calmly inside his pockets.

The twin-chambered core within his ribs beat in a heavy, deliberate rhythm, radiating twenty-four thousand eight hundred units of core density through the room, stabilizing the fluctuating mana signatures of the cooling ingots and casting a sharp, silvery-violet reflection across the faces of the automated assembly units.

Beside him, Boss Victor leaned against a structural steel support pillar, watching the crates fill up with the glowing violet metal while he rolled an unlit cigar between his fingers.

”The bankers in Zurich spent centuries convincing the world that their paper notes held value because they were locked behind thick granite doors,” Victor said, a dark, gravelly chuckle rumbling in his chest. ”They never imagined someone would come along and replace their entire monetary system with compressed lightning and star-iron.”

Renan walked up to the collection trough, picking up one of the heavy rectangular currency ingots.

The metal felt cold to the touch at first, but the moment his fingers brushed the surface, the internal mana-core within the ingot recognized its creator, pulsing with a bright, warm surge of argent light that harmonized perfectly with the beat of the monarch’s heart.

”Paper currency derives its value from the collective illusion of trust in a government that prints it,” Renan spoke softly, his voice calm, level, and carrying a quiet absolute resonance that filled the minting vault. ”When the government falls, the paper becomes worthless. A sovereign mana cartridge derives its value from the physical law of the abyss. It powers a engine, it sustains a shield, and it lights a city. It requires no trust because its utility is absolute.”

Sylas dropped silently from the ceiling ventilation shaft above the hydraulic presses, landing softly beside Miller with his tactical gauntlet fully engaged.

His optical visor flickered with a rapid stream of global financial data intercepted from the primary foreign exchange markets in London, Frankfurt, and New York.

”The injection has reached the international trading nodes, Sovereign,” Sylas reported, his voice crisp and precise. ”Ten minutes ago, our syndicates in Marseilles, Hamburg, and Tokyo began distributing the first batch of sovereign cartridges through the Mediterranean and Pacific smuggling corridors to pay our regional logistics contractors.”

Miller leaned over Sylas’s shoulder, staring at the flashing red and green graphs projected from the tactical gauntlet.

”And how did the global banking network react?” Miller asked, his eyes widening as the red lines on the graph plunged downward in a vertical drop.

”They didn’t react; they dissolved,” Sylas replied, a thin, sharp smile touching his lips. ”The moment independent merchants and regional cartels realized they could trade physical mana cartridges that never lose their charge instead of US dollars or Swiss francs that had just been frozen by the Geneva economic blackout, the entire fiat currency structure experienced a catastrophic run on the banks.”

Sylas swiped his hand across his gauntlet, expanding a live satellite feed of the financial district in Frankfurt.

On the screen, massive crowds of panicked traders, corporate executives, and private investors jammed the marble steps of the European Central Bank, shouting in rage and waving worthless bundles of digital bond certificates and paper notes as armed security guards locked the bronze entrance doors against the tide.

Across the Atlantic, the New York Stock Exchange had suspended trading indefinitely after the valuation of traditional energy futures dropped by ninety percent within fifteen minutes of the sovereign currency’s introduction to the global market.

”The economic blackout Van Houten imposed against us has turned into a total economic suffocation of their own financial institutions,” Victor noted, a broad grin splitting his weathered face as he bit down on his cigar. ”They tried to starve us of fiat currency, so we replaced their entire monetary standard with something they cannot print, cannot forge, and cannot control.”

Renan placed the glowing violet ingot back onto the steel collection trough, his violet eyes sweeping over the endless rows of iron crates packed with the new currency.

”Money is the bloodline of human civilization,” Renan murmured, his voice dropping into a quiet, cold tone of supreme authority. ”When we control the currency, we control the merchants who feed the cities, the technicians who maintain the generators, and the soldiers who hold the walls. The Geneva Council can keep their empty granite vaults in Zurich. We own the real treasury of this world.”

Renan turned away from the assembly line, gesturing for his officers to follow as he walked toward the elevator lift leading up to the master command bridge.

”Prepare the final audit of our global logistics network,” Renan commanded, his footsteps echoing through the industrial vault. ”The independent cartels that accepted our currency must now be brought under the final tier of the Sovereign Black-Market Covenant. We leave no loose ends before the transition into Volume Three.”

Sylas and Miller fell into step behind his heels, their faces set with absolute, unyielding loyalty as the heavy iron lift doors slid open to carry them upward toward the final phase of their global consolidation.
